hey, i tried filling my radiator with coolant after that incident and it automatically started leaking from the bottom of the car from the engine area… 😢 not sure what to do next
first find out where it's leaking from, the thermostat housing maybe? a bad hose? i'd put it up on ramps and crawl underneath and see whats happening. my van used to puke coolant out the overflow but mainly because i overfilled it by accident lol. old plastic is hard to see through
Hope you figured it out by now! If not, definitely check for leaking hoses and fittings. I just replaced the pipe that goes from the radiator tank back to the engine, since it had a hole in it right underneath the set of mounting clamps closest to the engine. That caused coolant to leak out as soon as I started to add it in, and I saw it just dripping off of one of the hoses. I just got in there with a flashlight and my fingers and felt around to try to find what felt like the highest point that was wet. Never could actually see the exact spot of the leak until I removed that bracket and could feel the small hole in the metal pipe. All that work was a great opportunity to clean and paint rusty parts, as well as do a couple of cleaning flushes on the radiator system and fill it with fresh coolant.
I checked mine the upper one has a metal bushing the lower one has what looks like a bushing on the end of the cable that rotates around? Or does the bushing fit in that?
The bushing were completely missing in my Sambar like yours, so I actually machined new bushing out of brass so I never have to worry about it again!
Brilliant!!! Machine some more and I’ll throw em in the store 😆🤙🏻
So is it clanky with the new brass? I heard that it’s not recommended to use brass in the front because it will clank around noisily when you shift.
Btw, I appreciate your love and efforts in making these videos. I will be buying from you.
thanks for the support!!
is there bushings on the end of the cables on the trans?
There is but they are bigger. Are you looking for those too?

correct, the bushing goes inside the eyelet so it's not metal on metal and takes up the slack
Can anyone recommend a good service mani and where to pick one up? I just one a 93 sambar and it should be arriving in a month or so. Thanks.
go to the sambar squad on facebook and the manual is in PDF or you can get the book off amazon
Something seems shifty for sure.
