The way Sonya expresses the shoes, makes me really want to try some of those styles.
It feels great to read this, thanks! ~Sonya
After all this time watching Sartorial Talks I have figured out why Sonya looks so familiar to me and oh my God she looks soo like an actress Vera Farmiga!
02:05 I never expected to see Stephen Fry here! I think he'd be ecstatic to see himself mentioned on a video about fashion. 😅
I'm pleased to know this regarding Mr. Fry. I think no one we mention in this show realizes they are featured, yet (this episode took our team so long to complete!).
Cheers, ~Sonya
Stephen, in his very educated British fashion is always well presented and even has a touch of flair, in his style.
First time I watch a Sonya all-by-herself video and I must say she is spectacular. Her talking is so warm and her smile is wonderful. I hope to see her more often. The summer shoe is a very fresh point of view to talk about style.
I've just seen your comment. Thanks for taking the time to write and encourage, Carlos ! Cheers ! ~Sonya
Little piece of advice from a guy that pretty much exclusively wears driving shoes: make sure you get the ones with a solid rubber sole. The Tod's shown in the picture have a leather sole with the little pebbles sticking out. Don't get those, instead go for a solid rubber sole. Nobody sees a difference anyway and they last a lot longer.
Tod's are really great, try them on if you can and check if you can get them with a discount somewhere.
For those who are interested: Meermin now has the ability to create your own pair of Oxford shoes for no additional up charge. This ends on the 21st of June midnight EST. You do have to pay for a handwelted / chained Norwegese construction and Shell Cordovan leather of course, but it's a great opportunity to get your own personalised pair of Oxfords at a (relatively) affordable price!!
Great tip, we've always appreciated Meermin for the value they offer. ~Sonya
I live in india where summers are around more then 35°c so I would prefer sandle or a slip on loafer shoes with white shirt and chinos❤️
Sounds like a fresh summer look and nice to hear from India!
Cheers, ~Sonya
Nice job here. Was good to see J. Fitzpatrick features. As a person who has made a definite change to classic men's shoes over the past 4 or 5 years, I'd trust Justin's eye for making a more casual shoe/'sneaker'.
Tony
Same here regarding, Justin. What a work he has accomplished in the arena of shoes ! ~Sonya
What a wonderful idea to bring slippers to a dinner party. Pretty much the classiest thing a guest can do. How I leave the party may be another story 🍸🍷🥃
😂 😁You raise a great point about the exit---don't forget your shoes.
Cheers! ~Sonya
Another edition of Sartorial Talks!! You showed me Cobbler Union, a brand in my city I was not aware of before you covered it on your channel. Big thanks!
Perfect timing! Just last week I noticed my lack of shoes for more formal/classically styled summer occasions.
The Sandal might be a little to "out there" for me but still a great recommendation! Thank you!
Brilliant as always! ❤
The travel shoe or mocassin is one of my go to shoes in the summer. Whenever I'm on holiday in Italy I will take home a few pairs. I love them!
Sonya, I enjoyed your presentation. I had not given much thought to the slipper but your suggestion of taking slippers to another person’s home is a nice idea. I have been considering the Espadrille, and you’ve convinced me to get a pair. Have a great summer! -Tony
These are the shoes I need for 11 months of the year. Bangkok is your version of summer all year round, except for our month in Paris or London every April.
Thanks for this video!
Greetings Sonya! Enjoyed this presentation on warm weather shoes. The indoor shoe would be my choice. Really like the idea of expressing respect, etiquette to the host and elegance when invited to a friend's home for a gathering keeping the outdoor shoes outdoors and the indoor shoes for indoors. Wonderful idea.
I have to get some more espadrille magic for my suits. Thanks for the reminder that there are still options to not fall into monotony. Cheers!
Great video and great outfit today Sonya!
This was epic Sonya thank you also its great to see you again you look amazing as always
oh and indoor shoe definitely i literally had to stop the video each and every time to save the recommended websites:))
We spent a lot of time researching forums and quality reviews, so I'm glad you found it useful ! I also would go for the indoor shoe right away. Cheers, ~Sonya
great roundup of summer shoes.. espadrilles are some of my favs.. and summer is my favorite season for style!
Thanks for responding -- finally someone who loves summer style and who is not dissuaded by the heat & bravo for espadrilles, ~Sonya Glyn
I think the key to sandals is, as you mentioned, wearing if at a resort, pool party, beach, etc. I really don't think I would wear them out in general for shopping, etc. Love the idea of bringing your own slippers to a home as a guest. I travel to Turkey often and it definitely would be appreciated. A quick tip for your sound. I know you are filming at home, not a studio, but you may consider a rug or two on the floor to help reduce the echo in the sound. Otherwise, great content as always!
Another great video. Thanks!
Drivers are usually my absolute go to for the summer. As someone who prefers to wear them without socks, I find that Riomar "Deck Drivers" are a good bet. They last very well don't hold any discernable odour, and the leather is very resistant to the effects salt and water.
I appreciate the "Riomar Deck Drivers" recommendation ! ~Sonya
Thank you Sonya, for this excellent video! For me, in summer it's driver shoes, penny loafers without sock and tennis shoes from Fred Perry. 😉 😉 All my classics shoes have vibram soles!
Thank you Sonya for another great episode of sartorial talks. May I also recommend the Baudoin & Lange Sagan Stride, a clean loafer with a rubber sole. Very comfortable to wear as a walking shoes.
Recommendations are more than welcome and because of your comment, I just looked at Justin's review last month on The Sagan Stride by Baudoin & Lange. Thank you, ~Sonya
After long time you are here again,,,))))), welcome back dear Sonya,,,,Thank you so much for this interesting topic. You look different ,yet chic & elegant as usual. I'm still a little confused between the driving &the walking shoe,,,they seem almost the same to me !!!! Love to you& Hugo from Cairo.
I don't like any of your suggestions, but I love your presentation style. The pitch , the cadence ... very pleasant to the senses.
Sonya, great choices. Love the selection. I’m a lover of drivers shoes but have become a big fan of espadrilles. In very hot climates they are like linen suits for you feet. 🥰 I am a sandal wearer as well. In a tropical location in linen shorts they can’t be beat! And to answer your last question as far as versatility if I had to pick one of would have to be the loafer. But I’m glad we don’t have to pick! 😁
Haha thanks for choosing, and great analogy re: espadrilles being like linen suits for your feet ! ~Sonya
Excellent video as always Sonya...i will wear my fisherman style sandals with shorts..my choices for summer are
Huraches
White bucks...blue bucks
Boat shoes
Spectators
Tassell loafers...gray and black
Etc..etc. etc..
My regards to Sonya and Hugo..cheers
I'm from Spain and I wear Abarcas Menorquinas (from Menorca in the Balear Islands) as an indoor shoe. Complete that with shorts or bermudas and a linen casual shirt and you have a comfortable yet classic look for those who live in hot and humid environments.
Excellent choice and convincing--- I may have to get a pair for myself, thank you. ~Sonya Glyn
Love the video and it inspired me to start looking for a pair of sleepers and a loafer. Thanks for the information :-)
Thanks Sonya, a great guide. This summer is the first time I’m attempting to remain stylish in the heat. So I bought two summer fabric suits and my first ever pair of loafers. I’ve never been a fan but if it means I can stay stylish I’m game. I bought two pairs, one in leather and one more relaxed looking in suede with no lining for even better heat management and it makes a huge difference. So far I’ve braved 31º and 91% humidity so it’s working well. But we typically get up to 44º in August but I’m not sure there’s anything to do about that other than to stay indoors as much as possible. Thanks to your video and the sample shots shown I might now consider a pair of espadrilles too.
Hi Michael, may I ask which region you reference? From experience, waiting too long to buy a summer suit is a common mistake (for us too). Thank you for responding and nice that you're acting on expanding your summer wardrobe for real---make life all-around easier and more stylish. Cheers! ~Sonya
@@SARTORIALTALKS Hi Sonya. I’m in Shanghai. Yes, I waited too long, but happy with my suits now. I also had to buy new shirts, shoes and socks. Buying a whole separate wardrobe for summer came as a bit of a shock to me.
I only have 4 pairs of shoes I wear regularly. They are three pairs of Allen Edmonds dress shoes and a pair of rainbow sandals which are a nicer leather flip flop.
The walnut tan Derbys often get worn without socks here in Southern California. The Oxfords normally worn with socks and a slightly more dressy ensemble.
When I begin to diversify, a nice Carmina tassel loafer and a moccasin style shoe will probably be on my list.
Funny you should mention indoor slippers here, as I've never given them much thought before but really came to appreciate them over the last year of home office work and have taken them along on the occasional trip to the family as well. But not even Sonya or Hugo will be able to convert me to the driving shoe, not only because I do not own a car. Loafers will do.
Now, I'm usually not the one to comment in such a fashion, but allow me to say: dear Sonya, this way of wearing a three piece is really something else. Such a stunning, breathtaking look.
Hugo is completely on board with you regarding driving shoes--although for car owners, I think the shoes are brilliant to preserve one's finer shoes. Thank you very much for the lovely compliment. ~Sonya
Huarache sandals are cool and underated summer shoes. Very elegant yet casual.
Thanks for the benefit of your experience, K! ~Sonya
Try huaraches from Nisolo, very elegant and they are comfortable too I have 3 different pairs, trust me.
@@andreleverettejr3747 Very convincing---thank you !
I go for closed-toe huaraches instead. They look like braided leather loafers rather than sandals. I have a pair from Officialfiesta "Raw & Rustic" line in dark brown that has flexible and very lightweight sandal soles with no-show socks. I have received several compliments on them this season. My next order will be a black pair with a more durable sole.
I own two pairs of Albert slippers - I love them. I've been a bit nervous about wearing them to someone else's house, but I may give it a go.
I have a pair of penny loafers with memory foam soles. I use them often when walking on trails or in my suburban neighborhood with a cardigan and tie (I'm a bit too traditional to pair loafers with a suit).
Espadrilles have been on my to-do list for a while for rather casual occasions, especially to the pool. I'll be sure to look into it!
I really enjoy reading comments like yours, thanks for taking the time. Hugo told me that bringing slippers to someone's home sounds like one of the most polite things he could imagine ! 🙂 ~Sonya
I missed you guys...in our company was added my first son ΛΕΩΝ (Leon 14 days old)..my friends say that for source that cleaning and caring his shoes 😆😆😆😆😆 Now we watching your video... learning about shoes!!!! thank you for the education
Fantastic thank you so much
Welcome and thanks for watching. ~Sonya
I used to travel a lot for business travel shoes loafers are ideal comfy on the plane bus or train and easy to slip back on at those dreaded airport security checks which for me based in Asia seemed mostly mostly in the middle of the night
Thank you Sonya, I love to see you reference Stephen Fry :))
So many are pleased to see Stephen---that makes me happy.
Cheers ! ~Sonya
Such a beautiful presentation 👍
Wow thank you ! ~Sonya
I ordered a pair of olive suede loafers from Jay Butler in the United States. A great summer alternative. Thank you for the sartorial insight.
Glad for the feedback regarding Jay Butler. Thanks, ~Sonya & Hugo
Thank you Sonya. You imparted information that had never occurred to me.
Always watching from Dublin (Ohio) , William Mack.
You're welcome. I'm so pleased to read your comment.
Cheers from Bourgogne! ~Sonya
I think you're right. My shoe wardrobe is a bit incomplete. Your advice'll be invaluable in helping me to address this issue.
I'm really happy to read this, thank you. ~Sonya
Good afternoon Sonya and Hugo, for me definitely the driver I have a true soft spot for them ideal for the warmer months with chinos or shorts truly can’t go wrong, kind regards Ryan.
Well-noted, Ryan. Thank you for responding. ~Sonya
I just got my first pair of loafers to further expand my shoe collection. I got the classics down. Cheers, Uriel
Hugo got his first pair only last year, much like you. Bravo, ~Sonya
first I've heard of the fisherman sandal...looks like a relative of the espadrille, though even more casual.. I'd rock 'em with a linen suit!
I hope you try and drop a note back here afterwards, with your thoughts. Thanks, ~Sonya Glyn
This was a wonderful video!! Sonya - I wonder if you have heard of the Spanish brand Castaner for espadrilles? They were the originator of the iconic 1970s collaboration with Yves Saint Laurent you mentioned in the video. I have a pair of the wedge shape that I love, and I've heard universally good things about the other shapes. They're about 1.75 - 2x the price of Soludos.
Another brand that I find really charming and unique is the Piedaterre friulane slippers from Venice. They're made with various different types of silk fabrics and their "Wilde" shape have been my favored summer shoes for several years (though they are not as durable as the traditional slipper offerings since they are made with recycled tire soles hand-stitched to the shoe).
As far as summer shoes, a pair of the Carmina driving shoes is on my long term list! Have a wonderful day :)
I am currently looking for a summer shoe. Our stores have been closed for months due to the pandemic and are finally set to open this week. Will likely go with a walking shoe. I think it's the most versatile.
Dear Sonya and Hugo, which type of suede do you think works best for summer? The "fluffier", full grain reverse suede or the "tighter" split suede, like Repello suede?
Thank you in advance and may you have a lovely day!
"travel shoe"...I like the mocassin and dockside kind...they are elegant.
I love the indoor shoes
Same here ! Cheers ! ~Sonya
Nisolo Huaraches are a very elegant sandal as well
The fourth to recommend Huaraches here in the comment section---thank you ! ~Sonya
@@SARTORIALTALKS your welcome Sonya! I have 3 pairs from Nisolo, I wish I could show Hugo a picture of them, he would approve 🙂
@@andreleverettejr3747 You can send him an instagram photo @parisian_gentleman or my insta at @sonyaglyn
Hopefully we will catch the photo in the mix.
Thank you !
Y’all should consider the huarache. Best brands I’ve seen are Chamula and yuketen. This is a Mexican heritage shoe I believe, with great breathability and fantastic style with the intricately woven leather. Chamula even has models with a free heel for those like me who have chafing issues with most leather shoes when not wearing socks.
Excellent advice and the Huarache is mentioned several times in other comments. Thank you ! ~Sonya
Please provide time-stamps. They're very helpful
I remember reading Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel used to wear espadrilles during her vacations. But I believe back then the soles were thick and made of cork.
I bring this up because espadrilles are so uncomfortable when walking on concrete.
Look for jute soles which usually include partially vulcanized rubber for enhanced comfort and durability. I wasn't aware that Coco C was a fan of the espadrille. 🙂 Cheers! ~Sonya
Castaner is an older and truly iconic brand (the Yves Saint Laurent espadrille collaboration originated here) for comfortable and quality espadrilles made of beautiful & traditional materials. I wore mine for the first time when I walked four miles up and down steep hills on concrete sidewalks on the way to and from a restaurant. That's a ringer of a break-in and they did wonderfully. Can't speak to the men's models, but I was blown away by the comfort of the wedge options.
@@latedala07 Thank you
Loafers for me. Thank you for the education.
Well noted and thanks for commenting ! ~Sonya
Boatshoes / docksides are excellent easy versatile lasting summer shoes. My favorite by far, compared to slippers, espadrilles or sandals.
I believe you are the fourth person to comment on boat shoes, which I appreciate and wish I had included. Thank you for the response! ~Sonya
IMHO yes to driving shoes, tennis shoes, boat shoes and last but not least 'espadrilles' which was a favorite of Somerset Maugham while creating at his Villa Mauresque paired with white ducks during the hot months on the French Riviera. 'Sandals' ? yikes maybe but only at the beach or private pool and then I'm with Hugo, God help us if worn with any suit because we'd have to shield the children's eyes from permanent sartorial damage! LOL.
Hi Madam ! Thanks for sharing your intricate knowledge about shoes. I love to watch your "Sartorial talk" programmes because it is very educative. Anyways , after watching this video , I would love to try travel & walking shoes. Shoes made of jute soles looks very interesting & environmental friendly. 👍😊🌞 !!!!....
Travel shoes and walking shoes are great first choices for venturing out. Thanks for responding ! ~Sonya
Your suit is very nice Sonya. My father bought a travel shoe yesterday, I didn't know that such a thing existed. Answer to your question; I think the indoor shoe is very cool I didn't know..... Thank you! Cheers!
A nice coincidence with your father. I hope you give the indoor shoe a try---I really like mine (a pair f ArthurSleep London & a pair of Mariano:). Thanks for commenting! ~Sonya
@@SARTORIALTALKS Right now about summer shoes I like canvas shoes with print snoopy the simpsons or the looney tunes, it's fun! By the way, I'm going to combine my linen suit with sandals. Thank you!
Perfect timing. I was considering getting a pair of driving shoes just the other day. I like the price point of Jack Erwin shoes, but am not familiar with the brand. Will investigate. Thank you for the quality content.
Please leave a comment here in the future on Jack Erwin shoes if you decide to give them a "test drive" 😁 Thank you ! ~Sonya
Thank you for another video! Always a pleasure to listen to either you or Hugo. A dedicated walking shoe seems a great idea. Do you think a suede loafer with a hybrid leather/rubber sole would be right for the job? I've found one by Carmina and debating between this and a brown half-brogue Oxford. (which is so versatile, and I'll need one anyway at some point). And may I say, what a fantastic suit!
I think you would be doing yourself a favor to go for the loafer during the warmer months and shift to the Oxford during fall/winter, depending on where you live of course. Thank you for your comment! ~Sonya
I tried velvet slippers some years back...damn I got addicted! Very comfortable and stylish...got several pair in different colors and with varied styles some in velour too. I wear them anywhere with jeans, suits, polos, l/s or s/s sleeves to parties, lunch, board meetings, and even at a wedding! Is that pushing it, Sonya? 😅 Bruno Magli, Saks, Gucci, ...
Wait espadrilles with day suits? Gotta try that
Hello Sonya.
I would really love you or Hugo to talk about the velvet texture fabrics on a suite/tuxedo jacket. I became clueless on how to pull it off..
Please! And thank you. You guys have done a great job in my satorial lifestyle.
Nice idea --- Velvet is difficult for craftsmen to work with -- but the subject of the empirical use of garment is also intriguing. Thanks, ~Sonya
I wear a boat shoe for this purpose. Very comfortable dry and breathable.
I believe there is a good boat shoe brand rec in this video comment section, I need to review. Thanks for the response. Cheers, ~Sonya
Great video, with marvellous content, thank you. One comment though, the Basque Country is an autonomous community of Spain, it is a part of Spain, like Madrid or Barcelona, or like Florida or Georgia would (states) for the US.
Thank you. It's so informative. I'd rather go for the loafers.
Noted and thanks for responding! ~Sonya
Thank you for your tip on espadrille maintenance! Soludos are my go-to "beater" shoes for the summer. Unfortunately, a byproduct of beating shoes up is... well... they get beat up! Will definitely utilize your glue tip going forward.
On the durability note, does anyone have recommendations for a higher quality espadrille in the 300-500 USD range?
I would like to pose the same question---thanks for asking about preferred, durable espadrille brands. ~Sonya
I did a lot of research to buy my espadrilles and ended up going with Castaner. They are only slightly more expensive than Soludos, but they are a really classic and iconic brand for espadrilles. Can't speak to the long-term durability yet as I've owned mine for less than six months, but they are worth checking out!
I have a few pair of espadrilles, a couple pair of travel shoes but I only use performance sandals for things like sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding. I think I lot of people wear leather sandals well, but they don’t work for me.
Hugo agrees with you! ~S
Same with me. I only wear open-toe sandals when I'm in my room, at the beach, or wearing my hiking sandals when I am on a trail that I have to cross a body of water deeper than 6 inches.
You should check out Huarache sandals. They would fit the role you suggest.
An earlier comment here, endorses Huarache sandals as well. Experience-based responses are really helpful. Thank you, ~Sonya
I am quite surprised to not see boat shoes listed there. There are a few good quality options as well, especially from Rancourt, which are made in Maine. Sure, they are very casual, but with light chinos or bermuda, they are quite a nice fit.
Very happy to have the Rancourt recommendation. Thank you so much ! ~Sonya
Thanks you again for a wonderful episode.
Although I love the style of the sandal, (and the Mediterranean look ), it just takes too long for my feet to get any colour other than morque white, so for the love of this world, I’m out.
So tennis shoes it is!
😆 Understood ! Thanks for commenting, though. Cheers, Sonya
The velvet indoor shoe has been a secret fantasy of mine, but seems for someone with a way different life than mine. Attractive walking shoes rather than athletic shoes are an interest of mine --- I love walking and can spend hours getting around
the city that way.
I appreciate the feedback and hope you venture out towards some new footwear (slippers or walking) which pleases you. Cheers, ~Sonya
Do you think you might be able to address the issue of being sockless?
Not everyday you see someone wearing a suit bare-chested like that! Interesting look!
It was an experiment , ha, thanks. ~Sonya
The espadrille... oh yes. Its got that "Picasso on the Riviera" thing going on!
Great vibe ! ~Sonya
Hello there Sonya. Once again a great video, I will be sure to try some of these shoes. I have a question for you and Hugo, the 2 of you have spent some time in Amsterdam, right? I will go there on a trip next month and I wonder if you have some sartorial tips from over there any good tailors or shoemakers or anything else over there? I think I vaguely remember the 2 of you talking about a thrifting store there but I can be wrong of course. Keep up the great work!
Hi and thanks---yes we lived there for two years. Hope you can say hi at Tommy Page (Vintage). Of course there is Oger & there is also De Oost and if you're near Utrecht, Coneman's Tailoring. We've read about "New Tailor" for a beginners cost-savings experience. Hope this give a starting point to do some research and maybe others can chime in who've had sartorial experience in and around Amsterdam. If you try anyone there and if you are able, please leave a comment here about your experience for the benefit of others. Enjoy your trip! ~Sonya
Sonya looking as elegant as ever.Great podcast. Love buying my summer shoes in Spain as the choice in Scotland is terrible..
Greetings Hugo and Sonya from Glasgow.
Hello and thank you. Greetings from Bourgogne (we adore Scotland)! ~Sonya
Hiya from England
I have to catch up with your most recent videos
Indoor Shoe/slipper - i think this style would look AMAZING with a bespoke suit, a great pair of jeans, casual trousers and the classic look. I love the colours and they are velvet. Is there Brand in England that make these for women?
I have never been keen seeing men in espadrille - they look scruffy - yes i used to watch Miami Vice back in the 80's but both of them looked scruffy.
The Sandal - you would have to wear these with a certain style of outfit. If you look at the 5th James Bond film You Only Live Twice at the point were they are in the garden of Tiger Tanaka's house with Aki you see Sean wearing Sandals and they look wonderful with what he is wearing but anything looked good on Sean. And it was well over 100 degrees when they were filming in Japan in August 1966.
What are the name of the sandals in the picture. The sandal that the gentleman is wearing in front of the fire place.
Really liked the suggestion of Jack Erwin, but unfortunately those are unavailable in Europe. Any tips for us in the old country?
We are looking for a European alternative to Tods and Michael Toschi Driving Shoes which are so expensive. Any suggestions for affordable shoes in Europe would be welcome. (Maybe Justin Fitzpatrick would have the experience to recommend a Euro alternative to Erwin) ~Sonya
Thanks Sonya and everyone at Satorial Talks for another interesting episode. Because of where I live most flights i take are around 18 hours to reach Europe again. Normally I break all the rules and take my slippers on the plane as well and just get on with it.
But, you might be on to something with the driving shoe, as after the 18 hours on the plane I normally have another 4 hours of driving to follow. Never considered them as the alternate, and it means I only need one set for the flight rather than loosing space for the slippers too.
Thanks, it sounds rediclous but that was an eye opening moment for me.
I'm glad something like this has resonated is (empirically) helpful! ~Sonya
Is there any luckier man in the sartorial world (or any world) than Hugo? Sonya is so awesome!
I'm sure there are luckier men, but hopefully Hugo is lucky enough. 😆 Thanks for that & cheers ! ~Sonya
I think not.
You missed one great summer shoe that is very airy, but also covers the foot with beautiful handwoven leather that is always stylish: The Huarache. On any trip to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills you will find these adorning the feet of the well-dressed rich and famous. An added benefit is many are quite reasonably priced! The closest thing to a combination loafer/sandal.
You are the third person here to mention the Huarache. I missed this one for sure ! ~Sonya
Sonya wearing her waistcoat as a shirt that’s interesting I never seen that before I like it though.
Thanks for the feedback. Cheers ! ~Sonya
If I was to buy a pair of shoes outside my classic shoe realm it would be the driving shoes. I rarely drive anymore living in a major city with a robust mass transportation system. The driving shoe sole of dots appeared to me to be too delicate for walking. The Jack Erwin's Decker driving shoe with a full rubber outsole for added durability but still with the driving sole on the heel counter appears to bridge the gap between a regular sole and a driving sole. I can see myself wearing a pair of Decker driving shoes in chocolate suede while sitting and at times stretch my legs forward that the heel counter touches the floor.
Thank you for responding and would love to know your future experience with Jack Erwin, if you remember to check back and comment here. Cheers ! ~Sonya
@@SARTORIALTALKS It may be until next year since last April and May, I had made my spring-summer shoe purchases for this year.
an alternative to the leather tennis shoes.. instead opt for a knitted one that's not only more comfortable, but also more breathable, without sacrificing style!
Nice idea---I would give it a go. Cheers ! ~Sonya
One shoe style I missed in this video heavily - boat shoes! I think they are very universal, clasic and durable (for obvious reasons) :)
All
Yes all, ha. ~Sonya
Indoor
This woman has such a beautiful voice...
Thank you for your kindness, Shane. ~Sonya
Looks like my comment about boat shoes didn't make it through. Why no boat shoes? They are the perfect summer shoe if you ask me, and they have the added bonus of having a non-slip sole, which can be handy on wet pavement, etc. (Very good video by the way)
Absolutely wonderful idea. We should have included boat shoes. Which brand do you enjoy most ? Thank you and cheers ! ~Sonya
wow Sonya you look different here! But elegant as always nonetheless.
Thank, I'm trying to be more and more natural as the European way is really filtering through with time. Thank you for commenting. ~Sonya
Walking shoe? Maybe if I walk over 10 kilometres out and about. I wouldn't ever wear dress shoes if I wore walking shoes when having to walk just half a mile like the video suggested. Chukka boots are probably my walking shoes. The crepe sole is flexible and easy on the feet.
Chukka boots are a great option ! ~Sonya
Clarks have chukka boots of Bushacre2 line which have a harder rubber sole. It will not pick up debris and will not absorb water as the crepe rubber soles do. Clark does not sell it directly but through other vendors.
Travel/driving shoes
Shoes - a perpetual discussion
Shoe addict syndrome (SAS) here.
Sonya & Hugo
I use my driving shoes when I fly.
I hate the travel shoes because the soles wears too fast and the sections break off
I would love some content for women!
