Great video! If I just have a few I put them on my hot plate warmer and once liquified pour off. The wick releases too. But if I had as many empties as you do your methods sound great. TFS!

I like to put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes then you can pull the wax out of the holder without leftovers

Nice video, TFS, I use a votive insert as well and I love it! Decorative holders can be very fragile and pricey - this gives them a longer shelf life! I but the 8-pack from Hobby Lobby and they’re perfect! I also put a drop of water in the bottom and then put them in the freezer to remove excess. Thanks again!

I put mine in the freezer if the wax doesn’t come out and then in the dishwasher. Easy peasy.

Thank you for sharing some great tips and tricks. I don't burn votives very often, but cleanup usually involves putting the holders in the freezer, then wiping them out with a paper towel and a little rubbing alcohol. I was just wondering if all the flames you have going throughout the house becomes a problem with summer heat. The ambiance is so lovely and I'm sure the fragrance is fantastic, but I bet they put off some serious heat!

I don't burn in the afternoon. But my AC kicks when I get home from work and can freeze me out sometimes.

Put them in the oven at a very low temperature (e.g. 50 degrees C/122 degrees F) for a short while, maybe 15 minutes. The wax becomes runny. Just pour it off and clean.

I pour my waxy water through a coffee filter. Maybe if you turned the flame down a bit you might have less scorch marks??

Are you really using your bare hands with all those harsh chemicals??? This is a terrible method of cleaning candle holders. To many unnecessary chemicals used.
