Painted walls are porous. You'll be adding even more lipids with the Vaseline on top of the oils in the wax melts that will create an even bigger oil stain. Vaseline is not a good option for painted walls and many other porous surfaces.
I swear by this method: Spell candle wax on your carpet... get a brown paper bag and a iron medium hot. Place the brown paper bag over the wax and iron rotating the bag often. All the wax will have been lifted from your carpet. No damage to your carpet whatsoever
Thanks so much for sharing this method. I've had problems with spilling candle wax so many times and I wish I had of known about this before. This seems so easy and I appreciate you so much love ❤️
Thank You!!! I am going to try using this method this weekend to remove stuck on body wax from a body wax warming pot that my teen daughter tried to put away without replacing the interior wax tub lid back on or allowing the wax to cool off first🙃…She picked up the whole little machine while the wax was still hot, turned it sideways to store it back in the cabinets 🙈 it spilled everywhere, all over the wax machine and the outer lid of machine is now stuck like glue and will not open!! Hoping this works and we do not have to toss the entire machine. We purchased from a wax shop going out of business. So it’s a pretty nice little machine.
Could I use this method to get old red candle wax out of brass candlesticks? Do you have any suggestions? BTW, I love your method for cleaning mattresses, among your other awesome cleaning hacks. So nice!
I Love it ❤. My name is Pamela Mettler, my husband is Dave. I really need a solution for stone hearth with wide grout lines and large porous stones boasting a splash of dark green-blue candle wax. I tried the iron thing, the scraping thing and the picking it out thing...NO AVAIL!!! The closest I got was using a hard core pumice stone. The hearth was never sealed. After LABORIOUSLY scraping away for a while, it's as good as its going to get for now. It's at a resort-y hunting ranch that I clean for and UP 'TIL NOW I have worked cleaning miracles all over that ranch I have found absolutely nothing else on the internet. But I have learned one thing...Andrea-Jean never sherks (sp) a challenge! Please HELP 🙏
I make candles and wax melts. I typically use a heat gun lightly and wipe off. Or setting an ice pack on the wax makes it pop off in one clean piece. No residue.
I have a wax warmer next to all my daily beauty regimen bottle. All tiny bottle about 20 of them... idk how I'm going to get it off of these tiny bottles!!! How? I have eye drops. Facial serums, lotions.... omg it's a messes ill mever keep it there again!! Any tricks for maybe these small bottles and crevices on tops of the bottles? There covered and stuck in place all lined up next to eachother. I broke off a few and tried the hair dryer trick but is wqs painfully slow and there STILL NOT CLEAN!!!
My girlfriend was chasing me in circles around the living room table, I grabbed a pillow and threw it back at her but sent a candle flying, brand new carpet, too. That’s where I’m at, and Mum’s coming round in two days, she’s our landlord (and we’re both in our forties and should know better 😂)
I am looking at a mess where one of those scented wax warmers fell on a chair and floor and splashed all over the wall too. THIS is a giant THANK YOU

You’re welcome 😊
I’ve used a hot iron with a very damp dish towel to remove candle wax off the carpet. It came out but not as easy as Vaseline. Great idea.
Thank you for your video. It was clear and concise. I knocked over wax onto my countertop and it splashed onto my appliances and the wall.
Andrea I can always count on you for a solution to clean up my mistakes, I will be cleaning the wax I spilled on my leather sofa

What do you recommend for removing candle wax from painted metal surfaces and walls? Thanks
@@toniwoods2569 Exactly what I recommended above.
What about a textured surface?

An ice lock does the same!
Nice hack...Will it work as easily on something like carpet?
Okay, I'm on my own computer now... I left a begging plea from my husbands phone regarding stone and concrete hearth...
How about carpet 🤔Andrea Jean ?
Yay! No more newspaper and iron!!!! Fabric, carpet, etc.
I knocked over a candle playing VR😭
