i tried this with a cheap candle from the dollar section at target and it worked great! i didn’t have to leave it overnight and it look like 15-20 mins! definitely reccomend!!
And I just microwave them without doing heating up water and all that stuff and then if it doesn't completely come clean it's easy just to wipe out when I usually have repurposed candles
Your method definitely gets the job done but I have an even QUICKER, CONVENIENT & HASSLE FREE way of removing wax from their jars: 😉❤️ 1st step: REMOVE JAR COVER AND PLACE IN FREEZER FOR A COUPLE HOURS DEPENDING ON THE JAR SIZE. 2nd step: REMOVE JAR FROM FREEZER AND ALL OF THE WAX WILL POP RIGHT OUT AFTER GENTLY BANGING JAR AGAINST THE PALM OF YOUR HAND! *It's as easy as that!! When the wax pops out, all that remains is a clean, crisp jar without even having to wash it!! You should try it! You'll DEFINITELY thank me later LOL!*
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I make my own candles and reuse the jars. Cleaning the burnt out candles is literally the worst part of the experience for me. This will certainly help!
I have been digging these candles out of the trash. And my Sweetheart spends about 60 bucks on candles every month. Which is fine but they clog up the trash. I have about six jars here right now. I'm thinking get the jar warm before I put hot water in.
Thank so much I had a Yankee candle I wanted to keep cuz it had a lid I used the left over wax in my wax burner too & remove the wax as I add water to my wax warmer total repurpose ✌️😁
I could not believe the black on the top of your candle jar. That comes from not trimming wicks properly and all of that is going into the air in your home. I am absolutely not trying to be ugly. It’s just a fact I also did the same with the boiling water, but I have no black on the top, if I did, I would clean that off first because that is getting in the wax that you want to keep to use in your wax warmer. I let mine sit until the water is barely warm. Then I sit in the refrigerator to finish cooling which takes just a short while and then I get that block of wax out and cut it up to use later. I really enjoy the Woodwick candles, medium size and they make wonderful glasses for drinking. Another method is put in the freezer and let the wax get hard and then just stick a knife and crack it and it comes right out. Thanks so much for the tip.
I put mine in the oven at 200 for like 5 minutes. Then pull them out (with a towel/mitt, wipe out the excess wax with a paper towel, and then use dawn to get the last of the wax film.
Ibe done this and it does work u need boiling water. The fastest way is to boil water in a pot and set the jar inside of it. In 10 mins the wax melts and u can pour it out in the trash. Use ur windex or whatever to spot clean the glass
Good idea however long process. When it's thats low I just burn it to oil then pour it outside. I immediately pour hot water with soap and wash it. Every wax and fat gone! I sometimes throw them in the dishwasher after i hand-wash them. Quick and easy
I had no problems getting the wick holder out. If it does not come out with my hand have these metal skewers or butter knife that I stick down in the jar and loosen it that way.
DONT PUT/DROP anything in the disposal if you can just throw it in the trash OR PUTIT INA PLASTIC BAG OR SOMETHING AND JUST TOSS IT!! Other than that this is the best and fastest(straight to the point ) demo hands-down!!!!!!

Oh this is so cool! I never even thought to repurpose the candle jars before!
Yes! So many of them are perfect as containers!

Wash the glass first with alcohol! Then the disk won't be dirty.

Nice kettle.

Awesome. It works
🤗 Glad to hear it!
Or pop the candle in the freezer for about 10 min and the wax will pop out and baby wipes clean the soot really good
Thanks 😊... Just asked about this.
Very nice jar on.
That was awesome!
Right?! I was shocked at how easy it was - and how much effort I'd put into cleaning them out before lol
I’m gonna do that right now!
I hope it goes well 🙌
Thank you!!
You betcha!
Thanks
I usualy put candle in microwave for 1 or more minutes, to melt wax and poure it out. Then wash jar. Done in max 10 minutes.
thanks so much
You betcha :)
Has anyone tried this trick on antique glass candle holders?
I put scalding water in one of mine and I seriously cannot get the little metal wick holders out of the bottom
Totally feel you. Most of them are stuck to the bottom with adhesive. I've had to get a knife to get some of mine off.
I had no problems getting the wick holder out. If it does not come out with my hand have these metal skewers or butter knife that I stick down in the jar and loosen it that way.

I appreciate that! I'm glad it was helpful!
She literally put her hand in it to make sure nothing was going into the disposal what are you on about
Doing now
you can also freeze it and the next day it just pops right out
Steel wool. You're welcome
