So glad you're back for another video! I feel like it's been awhile since I posted one. Like I said in the end of the video, my dash cam finally died. It was actually so sad. The top part broke awhile ago and I basically had to superglue it to stay. So it's been looking janky for awhile. Then as of like 2 months ago, random clips weren't being saved. So I would look for them like I normally do and realize that the clip never recorded. That was actually the most annoying part because something would happen that would be great for the video and then I never even got a chance to use it. RIP all those clips. Anyways, at the end it basically said "Card Full" and refused to record anymore clips at all. A moment of silence for a lovely dash cam that survived years of driving and has witnessed more than any dash cam really should.
And with that, onto the next dash cam... So hurry up Amazon! I feel like I go through phases where I honk more than usual and this is definitely one of those months. Also I swear when people cut me off on the road it's way closer than it looks in the video. It sometimes looks like they have 2 car lengths, but I promise you most of the time they are close to hitting my car. And we have the usual running of red lights, clueless drivers, and aggressive firetrucks.

It's her home town, and people from Connecticut (Like myself) are some of the angriest, most impatient drivers on the planet. I can't wait to have a real excuse to yell at stupid people. I live in LA also and today I got honked at by a driver because I wouldn’t go on a green light knowing we both would block the intersection if I did go. -__-

i just have to defend the one truck in two lanes really quick
I'm a truck driver and the reason for that is that if we stay on that left lane to make the right turn cars always try cutting us off through the right lane DURING the turn rather than waiting a few seconds to let us make the turn so the reson we drive in the middle of both lanes kind of is to prevent cars from going in that lane but we only do it for the sake of safety and avoiding a small accident caused by bad drivers who dont pay attention to the stickers in back of trailers :)
Was looking for this. I’m a bus driver (in LA and the San Gabriel Valley no less) and yep, sometimes I need both lanes to make it around the corner. I’d rather take up both lanes on the street I’m already on than have to drive into oncoming traffic, probably wait for them to pass, and end up blocking the whole street.

After watching one of your videos, I am always thankful that 90% of the drivers in my area of Tennessee are at least courteous. They might not follow all the rules, but even in rush hour, they seem to instinctively know that you get more with honey than you do with vinegar. Happy dashcam shopping. Stay safe.

That's so incredible..It's 3 days ago Dec 2 2018 and the weather is so incredible in LA that people I'm sure take for granted.... The scenery is so incredible..No ice or snow like here in the midwest....Greetings from Michigan...

This is one reason I am not willing to learn to drive. Driving with illogical drivers is like asking for stress and accidents to happen. I just rely on bus, expo train, and subway to get to amd forth LA

As someone who is Valet, at the casino where I work it’s a one way 2 lane road. Since this clip didn’t have their own road, they have to park there. They don’t seem to have a choice.
That makes sense, I guess my surprise is that they're allowed to do that when it's supposed to be a no parking zone...
Are you a transplant to LA? Lived here 38 years, never used my horn because life's too short to be in a hurry to get beat/shot by someone having a worse day. To each there own and I wish you well just be careful.
I live right near the Victory exit at Griffith Park. One if the worst. Don't forget the cyclists who want us to share the road but disobey 1/2 the laws designed just for said road. Great vid!

He entered the intersection at a yellow light. As long as he crossed the crosswalk on yellow he had the right of way and didn’t run the light. In California it’s like that at least.
1:05 he's also wrong. Cars on the main road and cars going straight have the priority. Cars turning left or right on the main road must yield to all the cars until its clear, he didn't. Poor woman was right.
To be fair to the driver at 8:45, those new Camaros have really piss-poor visibility.
In the clip with the semi turning right you missed the car almost being destroyed by the turning 18 wheeler. Also, those trucks need wider lanes to make those turns.

Yes and can be used for parking except during morning rush hour, during which it becomes an extra lane such as Ventura.
Exactly what Danny said, during commute hours you're allowed to drive there and it's a no parking zone.

At around 6:44 truck drivers have to use two lanes to make a successful and safe right turn

Your complaint against the truck using two lanes is invalid. A long-bed truck trailer MUST move left first in order to make a right turn without going off the pavement. I would hope that you already knew that and just didn't notice that he was there to make a right turn.

But before you throw away the camera, did you try a different memory card? They are notorious for failing. In fact, the memory card will usually die before the camera does. Dashcams are brutal on memory cards. Not recording random clips actually is a common symptom of a bad memory card. Even power supply cords go bad and can cause the same thing. I'd try a new cord also to see if that fixes the issue. I've had several cords fail on me, after noticing clips not recording and random corrupt files. Great show and sorry to hear you lost some good footage!
I actually didn't think of that and that makes a lot of sense. I already ordered one so hopefully it'll work with the existing memory card, but that's a great point. I've used the same memory card this entire time and that might be part of the issue if not the only issue.
@@DriversofLosAngeles If it turns out to be just a bad memory card, you'll have two good cameras and perhaps you can use one for the rear if your back window allows for it. ;) Or at the very least, a backup in case the other fails. Dashcam troubleshooting can be tricky!

Drivers of Los Angeles basically if he need to turn right, then he needs to take up both lanes, so the trailer doesn’t cut the corner and take down the street lights and shit
1:55 naw, it's not that the streets are too small, it's all the people parking on the raod while driveways sit EMPTY! That drives me nuts....my street is the same, everyone has 4 car driveways, but parks on the road.
Does anyone where you live, park their cars DIAGONALLY in their front yards and in the street, and not use their driveway very often (if at all)? They do here in Aus. and most of them are Asian. Some even have up to 10 cars for just one family.

If its a sharp right hand turn semi trucks can need up to four lanes in order to make it around the corner, two in the direction the truck is going before the turn then two as it makes the turn.
The way you lay in to the horn could get you a ticket...

Okay so it's not just me. The LA drivers are like that with everybody. And of course no cops around whenever that happens. They may need to start putting up hidden cameras everywhere and when someone does something as stupid as you've captured in this video, they get an expensive ticket. EACH TIME. I've done the charity as well. Let someone in and then they do something stupid like that guy taking a left. NEVER-AGAIN. People who are dreaming of moving to LA, they should watch this video, because I'm an LA native and never understood why people want to move to that hellhole. At least you made this funny and you're very patient filming it, but at least it passes the time stuck on the roads with those dumb fucks. The side streets are small because when they were built at the time the cars were smaller and the city wasn’t crowded. They didn’t anticipate that this is how it would end up. More people and bigger cars.

7:56 and 1:15 pretty much sums up California drivers. Whyyyy always switching lanes last minute to avoid stopping or slowing down.
7:40 - rewatched this clip several times and it looks to me like the line in the middle of the road divides the two lanes ( I dont see any lines). The trucks are huge and it looks like a small road and hes already very close to the wall on the other side. Its not a huge deal you had to get a little closer to your side. Its alot easier for you to maneuver your small car than it is for him with his big truck.
