pro tip: never let the other person know you have a webcam, let them lie to the police, and then tell the officer you have a dashcam. That usually gets them in worse trouble, more points on their license (for states/countries with the point system) and sometimes worse charges including making a false report to the police.
@@CinemaBizarreShinya why is it shitty to simply let people dig themselves in a deeper hole? They need to learn their actions have consequences. Maybe they'll learn to not make small problems bigger and bigger because of their stupid ego.

@@desertrose2181 mate, here in Australia. I nearly got T Boned because someone flew through a roundabout. Nearly cleaned me up, luckily I was watching him the whole time, I hit the brakes firmly without locking the wheels up. Then he casual flies by beeping his horn at me.
Getting jumped in front of and almost pushed off the entry of a merging highway when I was in the correct right of way lane to begin with = me going out of the way to make you deal as fearful as I did when I thought I’d be pushed off the road into the wall because some jackass in the back wanted to speed up and cut. If I’ve got the gas and time, I’m following that ass until I see you get off the highway. You bob and weave, I’ll bob and weave too. What’s childish is knowing you’re in the wrong but still driving irresponsibly with blatant disregard. What’s vindictive is when you catch the wrong one on the right day with plenty of gas and free time and no one else in the car. At least I don’t hop out the car threatening to beat that ass like some others do. On an odd note, any weird ass crazy driving is completely fine with me if I see a signal. Immediately excused because intentions were made known.
Yeah, only thing I figured is the cammer with their captions are saying the vehicle they hit shouldn't have merged over so closely in front of a truck that cannot stop quickly.
@@CriticalJ despite that the trucker had a good 5 seconds to back off a bit, didn't notice the animal himself, and took way too long to react to both cars hitting their brakes.
Using the brakes instead of the horn can also avoid collisions. Edited for clarification: Using the brakes is not the same as slamming on the brakes. Don't know why people have to overcomplicate things.
9:00 "this person needs to be taken off the street til they get some help" says the person who got in a lane about to end and sped up practically racing them for no reason
Red car didn’t fully stop on the red light, tried to race the white car to get ahead before the merge, then tried to pass them up before their lane turned into a dotted white! They also say “I at no time honked or made hand gestures” but they were obviously anxious to go since they kept saying “let’s go” at the light. How do they think they aren’t in the wrong? 😂

Yeah man and the tesla not only didn't do anything to the guy, but he was incredibly defensive. Guy cuts him off in an intersection, he doesn't honk and he backs off so as to not tailgate. Keying a guy's car for that is really fucking strange. Glad he was arrested with a felony
My friend had some petty bitch slash her tires a couple of times and replace her gas with sugar water. Police told her they knew who did it by the way the conversation went but lacked sufficient evidence.
my friend was dumb and bought a new Eclipse back in the day. he parked it away from others but at an angle. apparently that triggered some idiot to key his hood and leave him a note basically saying "you car ain't shit". we tried to get Target to look at the security footage but they were equally fucked in the head.

Two lessons to be learned from these types of videos. 1. Get a dashcam 2. People keep all their anger from life pent up until the moment they get behind the wheel
And they act like children the second the car turns on and wants to be in front of everyone and speed passed people because their life is "so much more important than anything else"
Desperation maybe. Why would someone sell their organs for money? The injury of being slammed by a semi might seem worth it to the desperate. Though assuming trucking companies won't protect their investments with cameras is the delusional thing.
There was a driver I'd see on occasion on my way home prone to road rage. He did a few things I saw. But the worst was one rainy night a semi towing a double trailer got stuck in the left lane as the highway suddenly banked up and through a series of bends. Mind you semi is only going 5mph under as we all are driving under because the pavement is partially flooded in the right lane. It's very wet. But as soon as he can he speeds into the right lane to pass the semi and gets in front of him and brake checks him hard. I don't know how but he managed to stop before hitting him. And everyone behind also braked. Dude risked his life in front of 40,000 lbs of steel and stalled an 9 other drivers because he had to drive slower for 40 seconds.
I've been driving a semi for 7 years and had this happen a few times to me. They learn real fast that the laws of physics don't care about their brake checks, my truck aint stopping, you move or you get hit those are your choices.
Lots of footage of the camera owners actually driving like a-holes. When someone is trying to change lanes and you speed up so they can't, you're the a-hole.
My friend and I delt with something similar to that about a week and a half ago. We were coming into the freeway and the lane was merging. We couldn't slow down because of the people right behind us nor. Some asshole refused to let off the gas let alone get over into the other lane so we could merge. My friend decided to pick up speed so he could merge because our on ramp lane was almost done and the POS decided he was going to speed up as well. The POS almost hit the back-end of the passenger side of my friend's car. Which could have easily caused a pit maneuver type accident. That same day we almost of their again a couple hours later when we went to turn left at a stop light and some guy in oncoming traffic that wasn't up to the corner before we started turning decided to floored it and turn right almost hitting us. We had the right away because we were already turning before he got to the corner.
I get the feeling there's a ton of people constantly saying like, u're trying to merge, u should adjust speed so u can, the other people don't need to react in any way. Now I don't know if that's what people are told that in parts of the world or what their problem is. If u can safely give someone trying to merge some space, ffs do it. Slow down a tad bit, speed up a bit, move over a lane, whatever. U're making the roads a safer and friendlier place. Not everything is a damn contest that u NEED to win.
@@justinsaned8865 Right? Legally speaking, if you're entering the highway, you have to yield. Period. However, many states observe a "last clear chance" law, which means that even if you're not obligated to yield to drivers entering the highway, you must exercise reasonable vigilance in order to avoid a wreck when possible.
90% of these accidents could have been avoided if people left their ego's at home. If someone tries to squeeze into your lane for example, just back off and let them in. Yes, they are an asshole but is it really worth it to hold your speed and cause a collision? It's called defensive driving. You are equally responsible for avoiding a collision.
Chandler Braaten you are not equally responsible for someone else's reckless driving. you follow the rules of the road and that's it. don't go adjusting the rules to fit these assholes into place. these people behave the way they do because people *allow* them to behave that way. stop giving them leeway, they don't need or deserve it. they will never *learn* until it personally affects them in a significant way. that's just the type of people they are, it's why they are so selfish to begin with.

@@sethsha7826 I would be in shock if I was showing off on my bike passing a car and he uses his car to hit my bike. Motorcycle crashes are the most brutal in my opinion. They have absolutely no protection besides a helmet; no seat belts, air bags, or even windows. I think the officers did the right thing. In moments like these, we have the option to react in an appropriate manner and are not forced to make a hasty decision as we would if a truck was coming at us 60 mph on the interstate when traffic is halted. That was premeditated. Hopefully this video helps others. This was also a reminder for me to always try to keep my emotions at bay. ❤❤❤
Half of these dash cam people seem to be looking for confrontations. They are not defensive drivers & many of them very aggressive. Glad I live in a town with extremely courteous drivers.

I agree most of them feel like they don't have to be defensive drivers because they have a dash cam in most of these situations I would hit the brakes immediately but it looks like most of them just honk and prepare for impact or just try to to run them off the road lol
The fact that people cause problems and people are just supposed to just sit down and let assholes get away with shit is crazy. If you brake check me, I'll hit you and keep driving.
I've noticed a running theme throughout these videos, that goes along with something my dad taught me when teaching me to drive. Never ever honk your horn unless you want them to stop. The instinctive reaction to some one honking her horn at you is to hit your brakes. I both drive and dispatch for a towing company, so I watch a lot of these videos, and I have found it to be true over and over and over again that the only time you want to honk your horn at someone as if you want them to hit the brakes
I've also noticed that the horn, despite being made for alerting, more often ends up escalating the situation because they're that much more pissed at you and want to run you off the road lol.
I think it’s cause when someone honks their horn it means watch out and so stopping lets you evaluate and trying to stay out of the way. It’s also like when people get nervous breaking is an option that most go to
STOP TELLING THEM YOU HAVE A DASH CAM! I know it's tough not to do in the moment, but when someone else is obnoxious and you know you're 0% liable, especially if it looks like a scam, STOP telling them you have a dash cam. Just let them argue, and maybe even soft roll your confidence. You may even want to go as far as to pull your dash cam and secure it out of sight. Many of these people are criminals, and the only way they get held accountable is to let them sink their own boat. Let them thick that the scam is working, and when tbe cop comes, let them tell their whole self-victimizing story. When the cop interviews you, tell him exactly what happened, tell him exactly what you're doing and why. Show the cop the video, let the other driver tell their lie, and watch as the other driver, the criminal is ticketed with 3-4 offense. Now the best part, depending on the State you're in, watch as the criminal is then either arrested or served with a criminal court summons. That criminal will be lucky to get off with just a Filing a False Police Report, usually a misdemeanor. If not so lucky, they could be charged with Witness Intimidation, which is just a touch more serious! THAT'S the best outcome for everyone!!
Yup, my uncles best friend was saved by his dash cam, he was cut off and hit by a guy in a Merc, there was a lot of damage but no one hurt, the driver came over and they checked to see if everyone was okay, then a man got out of the back of the Merc and walked to my uncle and said ‘listen, I know it was our fault, but you’re going down for this. I will bury you under and avalanche of lawsuits. You’re paying for this damage’ etc, my uncles friend let him spin his wheels and then got off free because he had a confession all on tapes
Agreed, its also the most satisfying way to slam a criminal with evidence. In court, all evidence is disclosed to the other party so everything is transparent. At least on the side of the road you can call BS on all the scammer's lies and then wave to them as they are put in the back of a cruiser in cuffs. (depending on where they live)

Since a lot of accidents occur when drivers swerve off the road or slam on their brakes to avoid animals, the instructor said "Hit the dog." Well, the dog wasn't stupid. He ran off the road into a yard. The student driver, not quite up on her technique, proceeded to follow the instructions. And drove into the yard to try to hit the dog.

Right? Not only that, no stop before making right could be argued, following directly after the vehicle instead, and the biggest issue is YOU TURN INTO CLOSEST LANE. 8:25 I don't know if they had been holding you up for a long time, or what. You turned across two lanes and gunned it, from the merge lane, to get ahead of them. Both of you drag raced down the road and neither would give. They are definitely at fault for their part near the end, but you created the situation, it seems.
I was thinking the same thing. If I was in the white car, I too would have waited a bit for the turning traffic until there was a good gap. Just in case some fool decide to cross over the lane which I have seen many times drivers do. They don't stay in that lane until the turn is complete and nobody near in the other lane. Then the driver in the maroon car went into the left lane which clearly showed that lane is to merge right. The cars in the right lane have the right of way. Yes, they seemed to drag race and if I was the car in the left lane I just would have slowed down and let the other car go ahead because some drivers do not like people trying to overtake them in the merging lane. the cammer should be at fault for causing the wreck and not yielding to right of way traffic. Also I do believe i seen a yield sign at the end of the on ramp so the white car should have slowed down to check for on coming traffic. I was living up North in my younger days and I remember there would be yield signs at the ends of on ramps. I live in S. Florida now and for some reason for a long time now there are no yield signs on these on ramps. My question would be is who has the right away then if no signs are posted? If it is treated like at an intersect with no signs, then the first one there has the right of way???
the cammer was at fault for all of it. you must always follow at a safe distance that allows you to come to a full and complete stop safely. "brake checking" is not always actually brake checking, as in this case there was an animal moving towards the roadway. most "brake checks" are for a very valid reason, and the problem is people not leaving safe follow distances.

And my main irritation was the fact that they then proceed to drive slow once they “win”. You’re either young or a bad driver to treat every merge like it’s a race.
This video really shows the value of keeping a good distance from the car ahead of you, brake checks won’t always end up in a crash if you give yourself plenty of time to react.

yeah i had a similar case when I was a paralegal. My office basically took a bunch of screenshots of the facebook page of the other party, cuz the girl was crazy and for some reason she posted everything about the accident and her life after the accident regarding the accident, but then once she hired a lawyer she removed all her posts. BUT, our office already had them screenshots. The case was just about to go to trial, and then we revealed to the other party (insurance company) our evidence, and they immediately dropped the case and started negotiating the $$$. Basically our client suffered life-sustaining injuries because his gf took his wheel while they were driving and they ran into a tree. SHe went crazy because he wanted to break up with her. She was fine, but he was sent to a hospital via helicopter. The case was his word against hers, so few lawyers even wanted to take it. But immediately after the accident she posted a bunch of incriminating posts and thats what revealed her as a complete liar few years later right before the trial, and once her insurance company found out just how much she lies, they understood that a jury would bury her and so they settled (basically she told her insurance lawyers one story, but based on her facebook posts, the story was completely different) case settled for 300k, even though the limits on the policy were only 25k (yes, you can actually go over the limits if you have a good lawyer and good case). The case is actually worth much more than that since the guy is forever deformed, but 300k on a 25k policy where liability is debatable is already pretty much unheard of in personal injury

Great advice!
I completely agree!

Car & Driver used to do top ten lists along with their stories on the top ten cars. 25 years or so ago, they had the top 10 driver's ed stories. An instructor was giving a driving lesson when a dog ran into the road, in front of the student.

This video really shows the value of keeping a good distance from the car ahead of you, brake checks won’t always end up in a crash if you give yourself plenty of time to react.
Is it legal to brake without reason whilst on a freeway in the US? It's a genuine question because where I live and drive you can't do that
@@MyshKatze Break checks are illegal even if it doesn't result in a crash, yes. It is considered aggressive driving. Still if you are tailgating and too close, you could also be considered an aggressive driver.
Don’t ever say you have a dash cam. Sometimes when they lie, even if YOU would’ve been partially at fault, many times you’ll be granted almost immunity if they lie because they think it’ll get them off. Let them lie. You just tell the truth.
yeah i had a similar case when I was a paralegal.
But immediately after the accident she posted a bunch of incriminating posts and thats what revealed her as a complete liar few years later right before the trial, and once her insurance company found out just how much she lies, they understood that a jury would bury her and so they settled (basically she told her insurance lawyers one story, but based on her facebook posts, the story was completely different)
case settled for 300k, even though the limits on the policy were only 25k (yes, you can actually go over the limits if you have a good lawyer and good case). The case is actually worth much more than that since the guy is forever deformed, but 300k on a 25k policy where liability is debatable is already pretty much unheard of in personal injury

Yeah what the heck was that?? She turns into the wrong lane and aggressively tries to pass, fails to merge correctly (HER lane was ending) and then she hits the other car.... the white car is clearly the victim there, unbelievable.
@@jclark1817 exactly! She was being careless but the white car also didn’t need to speed up to try and match her idiocy, they are both equally at fault for causing that accident
@@foursights Not equally at fault. I would say it's more 80% cammer's fault and 20% white car's fault since white car did have the ability to slow down, but other than that it was all cammer's fault. White car was in the correct lane and not the merging unlike the cammer.
I would say both in the wrong, the person in the white car was running her off the road. @@JohnSapato exactly. It surprises me how many people don’t think like this. They’d rather start a car demolition battle in the middle of the road instead of smartly adjusting for the other drivers mistake and keeping the road safe.
