Welcome back to the free for all that is driving in Los Angeles. You know and I know at this point what these drivers are like. Running red lights: check. Getting into car accidents AND blocking the street: check. Cutting me off and have no understanding of how to use a blinker: obviously check. Regardless I still have to live my life and get to where I need to go. Maybe I’m the one that needs to change and these horrible drivers don’t?? Haha please, you know I’m the best driver you have in LA on UA-cam and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Also if you notice that in some of the clips the sound is spotty, trust me I know. YT gets more and more strict every time with the audio, I can barely upload a clip with 10 seconds of a song in the background without getting flagged anymore. Not as fun to watch, but I’m trying.
Finally let me know what you think about the plates. Not sure I articulated this well, but we have our normal white plates and then black and yellow ones that came back a few years ago. In LA you might notice from my old videos that people love to not put on their license plates as it’s a status thing to have a new car and new cars were allowed no plate for 3 months. Now you get a temporary plate, so you have to have some sort of identifier on your car. That temporary plate in my opinion looks a lot like the digital plates that cost $499 for the basic version and $799 for the premium version. Plus there is a monthly fee of $7 and an installation fee. Basically if you see anyone with these digital plates they are bleeding money and I am here for it, so extra.

@@MalikBarrow16 Curious to know where you are? A lot of places in the U.S. are just starting to catch on to the roundabout thing, and where I'm at, there are plenty of accidents in roundabouts. People fail to see or care about the signs that say yield to vehicles already in the roundabout.

Yea welcome to LA. Their traffic patterns and roads make no sense. It’s often you’ll come across a massive intersection like that with no left turn signal. Or just 4 way stops that are that big. And god forbid you encounter a major intersection where the light has gone out. People don’t know how to drive without being told what to do. You can sit a left turn behind someone with a green yield and that car won’t turn because the little green arrow isn’t lighted. The majority of the people on the road are mindless idiots.
i love to watch people drive in highly difficult areas. I developed driving anxiety in aug 2023, but seems to be only my sons school area. Last yr all was fine then last year it hit like a ton of bricks. This actually helps me thanks

1:35 the intersection is so huge they can put a roundabout in and it'll be safer so long as they force the cars to go in one abreast at each street.
Granted, the drivers in L.A. are really bad but their douchiness quotient must be waaaay up this month! I think soon you'll be able to put up a vid once a week like Boston Bonehead Drivers, if not already.

Driving in LA is extremely easy if you just keep your distance and slow down when you see cars inching out in front of you. Just pay attention and you won't get in an accident.

I hate to say this, but as an Uber driver you have to pay attention in la. A truck can't just sit there for an hour while no one waits for the truck. The truck or car has to inch out and you must stop for them. Also honking causes more accidents, keep your distance, be patient and let people make their stupid mistakes without it affecting you.

1:28 That is the craziest intersection I have ever seen lol. In the Netherlands we rarely have stop signs anywhere, maybe in some old dusty towns, but definitely not in cities. We got traffic lights at every single intersection
You can tell this guy is not from Los Angeles. This is how you drive in. A big city. You gotta be aggressive there’s too many people with cars here. And one day this guy is going to piss the wrong person of with his honking and get what is coming to him. It’s just not worth it to get mad over and honk your horn.you never know if the other person has a weapon . Just let it go . This is a big city there will always be idiot drivers. What up Chris, I remember you talking about your channel but I never actually watched any videos. Do you just have your camera running all the time when you are driving to get the footage? I literally had to change my way of driving when I left LA to not be a dick elsewhere, so ridiculous how bad it is and I lived there over 5 years ago.
That 6 way intersection would be much better if they added a round a bout but ik round a bouts are just too confusing ig in my opinion Ily ur videos are amazing!

Whoa, I have never seen a 6 way stop before. That's ludacris. We have a 5 way stop that is called Malfunction Junction.
What is interesting about the electronic plate is that it is only allowed as your rear plate. You would still need your front plate to be the standard plate, which kind of defeats the purpose of upgrading to electronic. Of course you could get rid of the front plate, but it is technically illegal to have no front plate in CA. Anyways, great video like always!

Are they issuing the yellow-on-black plates in the 7-digit numbering series for modern cars now? Originally they were intended for but not restricted to '70s and earlier and had 3 letter/3 number patterns. Doug DeMuro pointed out they were all slightly dirty because they're all codes skipped over the first time in the '60s.

Hey great vid. I recently moved to LA and I hate it mostly because of the traffic patterns and drivers. This is a great video I’ll be showing my friends whenever they ask what it’s like. All these things are such regular everyday occurrences, too. It drives me insane!

Obviously you failed to do any research and know much of anything before moving there. I already know PLENTY and I don't even want to move there, but want to meet and visit people that live there. Yes, I would be driving and know plenty of what to expect, not only from the videos on this channel.

You asked disrespectfully. Now you assume I said I'm GOING to be visiting the area, when it's extremely obvious I specifically stated I WANT to meet and visit people that live there. You also assume I researched the area, simply because I mentioned the fact that it would be smarter to research an area before you move there. YOU said you moved there and "hate it" along with other ridiculous statements regarding traffic there. As I've made extremely obvious, I need not research the area. I simply know, via videos, possibilities to expect while driving there, IF I'm ever able to get out there. It doesn't even have to be to meet/visit anyone. Maybe I'll decide to be in Ellen DeGeneres' live audience, maybe I'll be a guest on her show, maybe I'll be driving through LA to get from one place to another. I NEVER stated, nor implied, videos being "just as good as actual experience."

For me personally, I like regular aluminum plates. Although the electronic plates are cool, they're more expensive and also pretty dull in terms of design. That's just my two cents.

some of the bad driving is going on behind the camera.its a big city with busy roads,sometimes traffic has to take its chance and pull out when there is a reasonable space. its never going to be 100% clear as I say its LA. you can actually see the guy increasing speed to prevent traffic from getting out.same with cars changing lanes more than enough time theres room or as much as there can be and this guy is on the horn and on the accelerator,just to get as much video footage as possible.
Referring to your last clip... It has to do with 1980s technology, but it probably easier to refer to it as meddling from the traffic light gods...
Ima be real honest, i went from working night shifts in west Hollywood (took the 170 down with little traffic) to now i work in brentwood in the mornings (118 west to 405 south) even with all the traffic the 405 has. People who are on that freeway for work just get it man, they understand they can’t do much about and are pretty reasonable for merging and lane changes tbh. It makes stop n go traffic bearable
