- Rain rain, go away and stop making it harder for me to cut off other drivers. Just kidding, we know I'm the best driver.
It wouldn't be a month in LA if I didn't almost get hit a few times by another driver. Red lights were run, signs were ignored, pedestrians messed up, and as always I did my best to honk at it all.
Also shoutout to Los Angeles for being ranked the worst traffic in the entire WORLD, again! Seriously, we beat every other city and this wasn't even the first year. LA, you never disappoint.

Sidewalks are a very dangerous place for bikes to ride. And, not incidentally, bicyclists have just as much right to use city streets as cars do.
If riding on the sidewalk is very dangerous, then riding in street must be suicide.
In my city if you are seen riding on the sidewalk you get a ticket. Sidewalk is for walking hence the name sidewalk.
The guy who makes these videos has a problem with cyclists legally using the road. It's pathetic.
When cars drive too slowly, they get ticketed for obstructing the flow of traffic. Why should cyclists get a pass?
Reaching Higher nobody in a big city is getting ticketed foot going to slow. Not in those parts of the city. All you have to do ous look at the bicycle laws.

Your honesty is commendable. I believe cars, rather than bikes, were once considered the annoyances on the roads. They're fast, loud, smelly, and they will kill you if you let them. Bikes shouldn't be on sidewalks because they are dangerous to pedestrians due to the speed differential. It is the pedestrians who would be in danger, in this case.
Of course, your brain immediately points out the speed differential on the road with bikes and cars. Well, consider that the bikes are the ones who are in danger here because they are the ones moving slower.
Bikes are legally mandated to be on the road rather than the sidewalk. They are vulnerable road users. It would be better for everyone if the transportation infrastructure were more discriminate based on the speeds of the various modes of moving, but is isn't, either due to lack of viability in certain areas or apathy.

That line to get out of the gym...what you need is a manual transmission with some extra-strong clutch return springs. That way, you cut leg day in half since you'll only need to work out your right leg, the left's already taken care of.

Read up on California law regarding bicyclists. Because it is illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk and as a driver you are expected to move over to the next lane to pass them. Don’t be a prick and hate on people who are doing the legally correct thing.
Read it yourself California Vehicle Code § 21202. This section states that cyclists shall ride as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway.
your idea of as close as practicable and theirs are completely different. If a cop saw you do that, YOU would be the one with the problem, NOT the cyclist and thats coming from my LAPD neighbor.

Drivers of Los Angeles I know right? I always feel so stupid taking that right instead of left. But, definitely the best touch less car wash in LA for the price. The guys there are always so nice.

Yeah I think the OC has an insane amount of traffic too, but parking does seem to be a little better... but only slightly.
Trust me. Traffic down here is easily comparable to traffic up in LA. You really don't want to be stuck on the 55 or the 91 during rush hour. You will spend an eternity sitting there.
We really do live in the easiest city to catch bad driving on dash cam.

Roo Parrott tbh that law is stupid and is only there for the money la drivers are so fucking stupid that it's more dangerous to ride in the damn street than it is on the sidewalk if a cop pulled me over I'd tell him I'm suicidal but not that suicidal maybe check those people who are driving like complete dumbasses more often and maybe il reconsider riding in the street again. 1:00 don't be ignorant, bicycles belong on the street. He is clearly on the right lane where there's slower traffic... If you feel the cyclists is going too slow, use your lanes to the left to over take him.
If you want 'bikes back [on the] sidewalks', then work to have the laws changed, as it is at this time illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk, and cyclists currently receive legal status to use the entire right hand lane of the roadway. Additionally, it would appear that the cyclist was not only keeping up with traffic and impeding no one, but also leaving you behind. Jealous much??
I don't care enough to have legislation changed personally. Did you watch the same clip? With each second the car in front of me became further away. Therefore no, not only did this biker not keep up with traffic, they slowed down me and every car behind me. I've never been jealous of a biker in my life.

California drivers are the first, or second worst driver in the country (not all), they want to cut you off whenever they wanted without signaling,and they drive so recklessly, I drove to California a few times now and I was so overwhelmed how people drives.

These people are awful. I thought I had a lot of idiots where I live but they are mostly elderly people who probably can't see or hear very well. Then when it is not some infuriating old geezer who forgot which one the accelerator is, it is someone texting or distracted.

I drive around Long Beach a lot and I've considered getting a dash cam just for all the crazy shit I see!! Some streets are small so there's only two lanes and a middle lane for turning...etc but people will just stop in the middle lane as if it's a parking spot. Also so many jaywalkers I genuinely fear I'm going to hit one eventually. They literally run out of nowhere. Hopefully I can get a dash cam soon lol

I’ve been a subscriber for a long time and I enjoy your videos, but I’ll have to disagree with the idea of bikes being on the sidewalks. Drivers can’t see us or expect us when entering the road/leaving a driveway. Also, it is quite annoying for the unfortunate pedestrians who happen to be on the sidewalk when a bike is ripping by. It’s illegal where I live too (although not really enforced).
Those guys are most likely "suicidal cyclists". You shouldn't judge all cyclists because of a couple of careless idiots. I see tons of idiot drivers and cyclists all the time when I'm driving and when I'm cycling. The ones who constantly break the rules are the ones who generally won't survive for long.

Matthew Nickel I mostly agree with you. However, there are definitely a few roads, like the clip he complained about in this video, where bikes probably should not be allowed to take up a lane. They shouldn’t use the sidewalk either for the exact reasons you mentioned, so maybe there should be signs saying ‘no bikes this block’ and they could provide the fastest alternate route, or people could walk their bikes through the no riding zone.
In my city you will get a ticket for riding on the sidewalk. It's called sidewalk for a reason.
And definitely there should be a lot more roads where cars should not be allowded

I never understood that crazy cross dancing guy (2:33). I see him often in Koreatown area in the morning in his dark minivan. He's always hanging out the window holding the cross while driving and grooving. Looks really dangerous and distracting but he has the power of the divine one in his soul! I always assume he is a van driver for a c̶u̶l̶t̶ Church.

Try to be patient and obey the law when it comes to driving with bikes. Also the driver ran a yellow that he should have stopped at and blamed the pedestrians for crossing on a green.
I mean I did, I waited until I could go around and didn't honk. Not much else I could have really done to obey the law further. That driver displayed classic LA attitude of caring only about himself.
