6 months ago I did the exact same to my brake calipers in different coats and I have to say that you need to spray the 4 coats and get a strong color that will last in the daylight exposure. Also, a high quality clear coat as a scotch guard. 4 coats is still dark red slightly anodized (nice), 2nd one turned light the 3rd one is now faded red. after 4 coats or adding 5 or 6 coats won't make the red any darker just stronger. totally worth it. I also used the chrome and red for my graphics i'm doing.
It’s held up well! Just make sure you really clean them before painting. Prepping is definitely key. The more coats the better the paint is protected. But I’ve had rocks lightly chip at it that’s it.
Looks awesome!
Ice breaker
WOWw, that looks like a 60`s Hot Rod !!

Awesome colour. Could u tell me the colour code ?
If you are from Canada go to Canadian Tire and ask for Duplicolor Metalcast. If you are from the US I believe most car parts stores will have it.
It’s just the candy apple red from metal cast link in my description
It looks good. I am interested in doing the same thing. How have they held up over time?

What is the VHT Color? Or Clear?
It’s literally on the video
That's CandyAppleRed color.
the adhesion promoter was a waste, its mainly used for plastic / rubbery materials, it came out good tho bro!
I just followed ChrisFix ‘s valve cover video. He used it.
Those candy style paints want to be sprayed wet. Not light.
I still say paint it with lite coats to prevent drips or orange peel.
