I can’t believe how quickly and effortlessly you paint. I know it’s from years of practice. You are relaxing to watch your painting techniques.
This video makes me what go paint some roses or any kind of flower now
"A rose is the reflection of inner beauty, Lindsay has always proved this."-Lynn❤️👍🎨🎨🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Can’t ever have enough rose paintings, they are so fun to paint. I really like this paint set, so bright and pretty. Thanks Lindsay!
You make it look so simple! Lol lovely roses :)
I am so amazed by how effortlessly you painted this beautiful rose. Thanks for such a fun video 🌹
5am here and I'm restless while packing to move house and looking for a pleasant distraction. What do I find but a a simple, cheerful, sweet watercolour flower tutorial by Lindsay!! A fail-safe mood lift on any day! PS Your link to the Owins paint tin leads to your video about Graphitint pencils...may need to recheck it. TFS!!
Thanks! I wondered how people were finding that video!
You’re using your postcards! Ooooo, I wonder who’ll have the pleasure of receiving this (or the other) card!
Yippee.. my favorite… watercolor flowers!!… This is exquisite Lindsay….
Thank you so much for doing this painting in real time. It was also nice to have the "pre-painted" version so we could see where you were going with each layer. If that makes sense....Very helpful!
Wow, I'm blown away by how effortless you make this rose painting look. You are so talented and so pleasant to watch. Thank you for the inspiration.
Just beautiful Lindsay I’m going to try it!! Won’t look like yours. Happy Valentine’s Day 💕
It should look like yours! We are all unique!
I love my Pretty Excellent paints! The aqua tin with the parrot - LOVE.
You really can't beat them!
Flowers just seem to come alive at the end of your brush! This is so pretty!
One day I'm going to actually sit down & follow some of your tutorials. I was going to ask if you were creating at the beach as it sounded like waves crashing on the shore lol. xx
I wish!
The Pretty Excellent paints were the very first watercolour paint set that I purchased - because of you! :) I absolutely love them so much. I rarely purchase an important art supply or tool without checking to see if you have reviewed it. You've never let me down Lindsay, and I''m so appreciative! I later purchased another for myself and several as gifts for friends that are new to the medium. If these paints are just like them, then I know what my next set will be. Thank you for yet another awesome and beautiful watercolour project that I can't wait to try! Love and Bless xo
Just in time … I wanted to paint a Bday card for my daughter. This was just what I needed ! Thank you !
Yes 👏🏽, I’m excited to watch !
The roses are so pretty! I could never get tired of you painting roses! Thank you for the demonstration and review.
Your painting is so beautiful!! You may think it’s easy but……….you have such talent !!
Gorgeous Roses! I love how you can create such a beautiful masterpiece effortlessly 💕 I’m going to give it a try. You explain so well❤️ Thank you Lindsay 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hello Lindsey,
I left my Pretty Excellent paint dry out very very well, and then just popped them out of the plastic, and they fit perfectly in a half pan. :-). And now I can move them around anywhere I want them. I just put magnets on the bottom. You could also put them in another tin just like you would any other watercolor that are in pans.
These paints look as if they are almost exactly the same as Pretty Excellent.
Thanks for all your beautiful videos Lindsey,
Mary, Hart Lane Studio California
Thanks!
I really like how you show the leaves bent and the underside, like they are in nature. You would be surprised about how many color book pages don't show foliage as it appears in nature. When I look at those pictures, it always makes my mind say something is off about this picture and then it clicks. Thank you for your time and talents.
Beautiful roses 🥀🌹🥀
Beautiful roses and you make it look so easy! Thank you
Excellent! Thank you
Thank you Lindsay!♥️♥️♥️
So beautiful! 💖
Beautiful!!! Love watching you paint it is so relaxing. Thank you. Hugs and blessings.
Very inspiring Lindsay! Thank you for sharing your talents ❤️
So pretty , thank you for sharing 🌹
I love your skill!
So pretty!
No No No. Can't see enough pretty watercolor roses. Maybe to compensate for my cats chewing on all of my plants :P ( I can't even keep a bloody cactus alive... LOL )
Those are really pretty colors for a student grade paint. Wauw. And Im picky on student paint. Some will go meh on me. But ask Lindsay; I painted for YEARS with my Cotman set of 12. Artist grade is awesome but pricy. Art is supposed to be fun. It is not ment for you to go bankrupt on it,lol. Im even concidering rebuying the set of 12 cause it takes the precious of some paints, lol
Careful with the white Ranger heat guns. Mine caught fire after the 3rd use. I was drying a piece of watercolor paper, and after a couple of seconds of it being on, it started smoking, sparking, and then caught fire on the inside. It all happened so fast.
Hi lindsay. Do you have a supply list for your watercolor and watercolor flower workshops? I wanted to take a look before signing up
Just basic supplies. If you email me, I can send them to you at artstudiosofbangor@yahoo.com and I have my memorial day sale happening! Coupon code on my livestream today.
Beautiful painting. I was wondering if you could recommend watercolor that aren’t from China?
Sure, Davinci, Daniel Smith and QoR are all made in the USA and there are loads of good brands made in Europe. They will all be more expensive but there is a lot to pick from.
So pretty! Are the paints gummy at all? I found that the sonnets are weirdly gummy and gelatinous. Though, I must look away, I am on an art supply No buy! X.x
No but I didn't find sonnets to be gummy either.
Love your tutorial, as usual! Tried the link to paints you used and it took me to a Derwent tutorial you did. They don't seem to be on Amazon. Another provider? Thanks for the great watercolor instructions. Also, I'm a faithful (fanatic?) follower of Sat Chat!! lol
They were in aliexpress for 3x the price!
I am thinking of buying the Art Whale 48 watercolor set, for the tin, it looks rughed and looks like a Rubens type box with the same thick pink cloth added to it. Do you recall if the paints were ok and the tin was sturdy?
The tin is pretty standard on the art whale set. The paint is not as good as Paul rubens. It is the same paint as superior I believe. Not bad if you get it at a low price.
I am using Amazon gouache what do you think of that brand
I meant Arteza lot
It's pretty good in my opinion.
I was able to remove the Pretty Excellence paints and put them into half pans because they can pop right out of the plastic containing them. Just a FYI.
That's great!
Could you please link the watercolors you used today?
I think I did but the 36 set has sold out.
@@thefrugalcrafter Thanks for responding.
I’d love to receive this or any postcard from you. I’ll give you my address so you can send it off to me!! Can’t wait to give this a try. Thank for sharing this comparison.
The video quality wasn't good for the first few seconds, but it cleared up quickly.
Very pretty. I like the coloration of the second one better than the first, but it could just be from the way the paint flowed. Thanks for sharing this.
Huh I wonder what happened
@@thefrugalcrafter It looks like it might have been trying to focus.
