Thank you so much! I went in to talk to my husband earlier today and told him I was going to stop trying to watercolor. I didn’t have the talent, blah, blah, blah... He convinced me to just relax and play, and then I found this tutorial! This was sooo much fun!!! I sent a pic of what I painted to my daughter and now she wants one! Thanks for bringing the joy back for me! You are a blessing!
I love florals but always get so caught up in making them perfect!. Your tutorial is very helpful because your flowers are perfection but take no time at all to create something unique and meaningful. ❤
I'm 73 and just starting - very exciting and Ceecee makes it looks so easy and uncomplicated. My sweet husband just bought me some supplies (surprise!) so I'm ready to go!
Thank you for this tutorial!!! I did these flowers and added a little cartoon angel hanging amongst the flowers representing my cousin who just died at 41. Her husband messaged me that the picture brought him to tears and asked for 3 more. Nothing more rewarding than that. 🙏🏼❤
Thank you I loved watching your chanel so many hints , I am a very new beginner, 74 year old female , have wanted to do art painting & drawing since I was a very small girl. But alas Mother told me no I had to get work & artist's never make anything so will always be poor , lol nothing changed so at 18 years got married had a family of 6 children , time goes by . Now lost my Darling , it is time for me.
I’m sorry for your loss. I hope painting brings you some peace and relaxation. I took art as a major in my first two years of college because I didn’t know what to do yet. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and a very naive commitment. I’m too much of a perfectionist to just let it flow. Now I sit here during quarantine with twenty year old watercolors that need to be used.
@Marlene Vincent So sorry to hear you lost your sweetheart and that your mother wasn't more supportive of your art. Not that you need permission, but I surely hope you've bought plenty of art supplies and are now painting whenever you want. It's never too late to have a go and as you said---"It is time for me". I really wish CeeCee would have responded to your comment with some words of encouragement, but you'll notice she doesn't take the time to respond to many people at all under any of the video's she posts. Sadly, too often we don't always get a second chance with a missed opportunity. I hope you are well, Cheers Marlene!
Hi Marlene, I don't know if you'll read this comment but if you come by it, sending you hugs ❤️ I hope in these 6 months you have continued the art journey and finally having fun.. 😊 take care!!!
Thank you so much. I am just learning water color...I am 73... your work is so beautiful and I feel I can paint flowers that are lovely because of your guidance. Thank you.
Yesterday I felt like quitting watercolouring after about 3 months of trying. Today I came across this, followed along with you, practiced and practiced and my desire to continue has been restored. I absolutely enjoyed this ….so thank you so much!
The secret I’ve found about Watercolor painting is “ Let the watercolor do what it wants to do with very little interference from me “ . Very beautiful example of just that 🥰 !
Very true...but one needs to try to have a little bit of control, a general plan. I guess it comes with just knowing the medium, and knowing what may happen, then making those things work for you.
*Tracy Born Again Farm Girl oh yes, i see that. I wasn’t contradicting you. It’s definitely an individual thing. I work in a very realist style, so I have to plan carefully - and I’m no expert with WC. It’s a medium I’ve really struggled with. It’s hard to fix major mistakes, and good watercolor paper ain’t cheap!
That never crossed my mind dear Geslina M , we all learn from one another . Keeping only what works for you is what makes artists unique 🥰 , happy creating !
Thank you for showing this in real time, "mistakes and all" - this taught me not to freak out and trash my picture every time something happens that I didn't plan. If I did this exact method and "mistakes" in the past I would have started over about 5 times and given up on the last one, believing I could never do it! You give me hope ♡♡♡
Elegant flowers? Without labouring for hours with a pencil?? New to watercolours but my paints were nearby so I had to try this straight away and your wonderful technique worked like a charm. I can't thank you enough for this valuable lesson! Dollar store frame???? Your compositions are charming and your paintings deserve so much more :)
Thank you for showing us these... as a beginner, it helps to be able to create something beautiful without the need to make something perfect. I'm just appreciating how the paint moves on the paper.
That looks like a very expensive gift. These are like free mini lessons for me. I thank you so very much. The one you remarked about being deformed is my favorite.and here I thought this was hours of work. How utterly beautiful. I'm going to try it when I get enough courage....I'm so afraid to try. It sure would be fun. I will be 71 end of the month but I never quit trying new things.
I'm 68 year old gramma just watching watercolor artists create amazing works of art...... a bit hesitant to have a go, but have supplies now.😄 Thank you for your video and teaching beginners all kinds of creative ideas! Beautiful gifts... I like them. Without a frame... maybe displayed on wood, cork or love your card idea! Blessings to you today... you surely brightened mine😄🌺🌴🌈🌅
I’m spending my time since Covid forced me into retirement making UA-cam videos to help inspire people who want to start painting or take it up again. It’s great to be able to watch others doing something similar.
Diane Antone Studio Dear Diane, I love your videos too! I just did your sunflower and so enjoyed it. I retired just before COVID and found myself in quarantine - so with an old box of watercolors and UA-cam at the age of 69 I started to paint; something I have wanted my entire life to do. All you wonderful UA-cam artists have brought so much joy to your viewers especially with your generosity in teaching us. No words can adequately express how much they mean to all of us, except to say thank you!❤️
I LOVED your tutorial! You are such a great teacher! I’m retired and have no artistic talent but I was drawn to your beautiful watercolor paintings. I think I can do this and am now going in search of supplies! Thank you!
First time I’ve held a watercolor brush in all my 68 yrs. You are so inspiring. The big trick for me is when I finish I put my attempts aside and when I come back a few hours later I don’t hate it so much, as when comparing it to your skills, and can then see what I still need to work on, so I’m re-inspired to keep trying. You have added new dimensions to my retirement years!
It was one year ago that I watched this video for the first time. I finally started painting and found these flowers easy and fun to do. Glad I came across this again. Thank you. :)
WOW! Beautiful soft flowers and so simple! I mean, it looks simple and kind of easy, I haven't tried it out yet and I am very much of a beginner at watercolor (and even flower painting, I did a few digital copies in my life but that doesn't help me now) but I am sure I will be able to create something decent if I practice, I have motivation, I love these flowers!
I struggle with free form flowers. If I sketch it in detail first, I can do it. Free form.....blobs. Your method however, is fabulous and I am making flowers that I love! Thank you so much. Such a simple method but stunning results.
Gerry McNally Your tutorials are very inspiring, easy to follow and great for learning new techniques. Always fun and rewarding to try them out myself.
thank you so much for your tutorial and the way you explain your technique and steps. you are great at teaching. so many people forget what those of us who are starting out need to know, such as brush size and position, how you use water in this exercise, colour mixing, type of paper ,positioning of the flowers and you explain all the little steps rather than just doing them. thank you. you've inspired me to keep trying to paint flowers!
I love watercolour art, but have never tried to do it myself. Until now. Watching you, I can't help but think "I can do it". And so I shall. Thank you for such an inspiring YT for a beginner. I am a new subscriber.
I m 51 and fond of calligraphy writing, simultaneously i do some other works like pastel, acrylic, pencil works. Your work made me to fall in love. Your beautiful idea making petals are awesome. Going to paint... Thanks a ton.
Thank you for this lesson, it's one I believe I just might be able to pull off! Your paintings are so beautiful. Half an hour later...I did it! I can't believe I made flowers that actually look like flowers! I'm so excited!!
Thank you for describing the process so well. I've been wanting to try watercolor for a while now, and you have given me the courage and inspiration to start. ♥
Thank you for the best tutorial I have ever seen. You showed us all aspects of what you did, where usually we are left wondering about the little things, which are so important. I am 76 and just starting to paint. Loving it.
Oh god so glad that I've found your tutorial, I've been struggled to draw floral watercolor since forever and thanks to your guidance I have finally draw some decent good-looking watercolor flower
I enjoyed this video. I appreciate your attitude towards “mistakes”, as I am an artist who seeks my version of perfection in my creations. Brand new to watercolor, I will take the plunge👍☺️
Oh my, I’m doing these first thing tomorrow when hubby leaves for work so I can focus! Thank you so much for sharing your technique, now I will no longer be fearful of my paints, lol. Also, I too have an order in for Kremer paints, it’s great that they tracked you down!
I'm so glad I finally found your station here! I've labored over these types of flowers for over 2 years, and you just gave me the magical receipt for THE easiest and most beautiful flowers, CeeCee. Thank you!
I've been using this technique of yours for a while now to paint pictures of flowers and I love how easy it is, yet looks like I actually know what I'm doing lol. I have people wanting to pay me for them, but because it's so easy and fast I can't bring myself to do it, so I just give them away. It's always nice to be able to share a bit of myself with someone and bring a smile to their day. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us so that we can pass it along in turn.
Love, love love your videos! Thanks for helping make my dream of painting with water colours much easier and less stressful and no judgement! Please continue to inspire🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️
Bonjour from British Columbia. Thank you so much for this video! I used it to create my very first water colour picture and am very pleased with the results.
HI CeeCee! Thanks so much for this video! First of all, I love how you filmed it! Please keep doing your tutorials this way (i.e. zooming in and out as needed and real-time talking, or, with a voice over instead of music). Secondly, and more importantly, I absolutely LOVE your flowers and the tutorial for them! Yes, I will be trying these ASAP.
The easiest watercolor flower tutorial that I have come across. Thank you soo much for putting this up ! I can now paint pretty watercolors so easily (I was scared previously thinking that watercolor is so tough ! but not anymore :) )
I have some scraps of good paper and I love bookmarks! So I am going to make bookmarks with your beautiful flower technique! When I give or lend a book, I enjoy giving a hand painted bookmark with it! Thank you for the inspiration!! 👩🎨🎨
Today was my very first water colour 'practice'. I was thrilled with result. The response from my family was, including surprise, so positive! Thank you for your simple guidance and I'm so excited to try more. Best thing I've ever done 😊
