Thank you for all of your tutorials and your approach to WC is very much appreciated. I cannot imagine the time it takes to record these videos and edit them prior to uploading/sharing with us all - so thank you for your time and interest in sharing how to approach WC.
Emma, I love the way you teach. Just calm and simple instructions, no music. Please keep it this way!! You explain what colors you're using, how to paint each detail, and I love it that you complete a painting in one sitting. You are a talented artist and a super teacher! I've listened/watched others and no one compares to your style and talent! Thank you for posting all these for us to enjoy!
"Maybe somebody stepped on it". As someone who really wants to do watercolor flowers just like this, but is worried they'll look like crap, your words actually brought some tears, and a lot of inspiration. I'm digging out my water colors, and I'm gonna paint all kinds of miss-shapen, stepped on, and not-fully bloomed flowers, and I'll appreciate everyone of them as they are. Thank you! I'm glad your video popped up on my feed, I'll be watching more!
I love you and your work/your family but the very beginning intro with the beautiful soft music and the paintbrush bouncing in a lace-accented canning jar really sings 🎶 to me! THANKS for every little thing, Emma 😍
Lovely comments for you and so well deserved. I love your style and teaching too. Thank you so very much, I don't think you realise just how much pleasure you bring us. Not just the tutorials but everything else and making it so much easier. Greetings and much love from me in SAfrica ❤
I thank you for the reminders to “just have fun with it”. That’s what it is supposed to be about. As a newbie, I can get too intense and “over kill” too often. It’s not a contest after all! I am learning so much from you even at my old age.
Thank you so much! Other teachers do one stroke flowers and leaves and I am just not great at them and they don't look as realistic as these, they look more folk artsy. This is more the way I end up painting, trying to make them more realistic, and thought i was doing it "wrong". Thanks for helping me realize there is really no right or wrong style as long as you get the results you are looking for. I like the more realistic look like this. They turned out great. Stepped on and all. :)
Emma - It's really entertaining and calming to watch this during our isolation... my cat is enjoying it too, she positions herself so that she can watch over my shoulder, and stares at the screen non-stop. Thanks for keeping us both engaged!
I have been practicing my watercoloring while I'm stuck at home - our county is under a "stay at home order" from the governor. Thankfully, both my job and my husband's job are allowing us to work at home. Hope you and your family are staying well during this time and thank you for all the inspiration!
What a beautiful process to watch. Had trouble sleeping, anxiety about the virus creeping in, so I found your wonderful wildflowers to watch and calm down. Perfect little delicate images. You are so adept with your brushwork, it is just mesmerizing. Thank you for your art therapy in these crazy times.
I appreciate all the vids you are putting up. I’m in the hospital here in Tennessee and it helps keep my mind off things!, even though I can’t paint. Thanks!
Julie S. Thank you! Luckily I don’t have covid-19'. Actually covid-19 probably saved my life. I went in with a high fever and abdominal pain and it ended up being diverticulitis with a perforated bowel.
Sarah Beverly I’m glad you are ok. Will be praying for a full recovery and that you will never have to go through that again! It must ave been terrible.
I have never painted before and what you have taught me is amazing... so grateful... I am only just discovering what GOOD brushes can do for my painting... it's a whole new world.. thanks again... oh and yes I would LOVE some really good brushes to work with ..I can only improve... I'm so exited every time I find a new video from you.. you are a great teacher.
So loving your channel and talent! Thank you for inspiring a new retiree tapping into her inner artsy heart never explored before! I am having a lot of fun! 😊
Thank you so much Emma for showing so many different variations of flower paintings! Normally I can only find videos on how to paint roses, but being able to see your process for painting so many types of flower is really helpful. Beautiful work 💕
This tutorial has me in full spring mode! So ready to start seeing these beautiful wildflowers popping up all over. Thank you for another great tutorial, being real and showing how to fix things, and for having simple ways to explain the process. Can't wait to paint these and mail them to family to remind them that after a winter there is always spring!
Hi Emma, it helps so much when you fix things, as we all need to do it and it’s the only way we can learn how! You are a great artist, but also have a special gift for teaching. Thank you.
Thank you for showing me I have the right idea and it’s okay to work your shapes a bit. I was watching another water colorist who states you shouldn’t do that. I have to remember everyone has their own style and one style may not be for you. Thank you! Beautiful water coloring.
My son in law loves cone flowers so I painted this one as a birthday card to send with his gift. Thank you for this super easy to follow instruction! I look like I've been painting for years1
You are very talented and have a wonderful teaching voice. I have never used watercolors but with your teachings, I hope to learn how. Thank you so much!🥰
I missed your Live Stream!!! But please do add this to your repertoire so I can get it into my schedule to watch every week. I love your teaching style - it's so zen and low stress to follow and great for those of us who are at the start of our journey. Thanks so much for doing this.
Me: Today's the day! I'm gonna paint along! Emma: Okay! Now that the first layer is dry we can go back in with more detail! ☺️ Me: *still painting the first flowers* Lol I loved following along with this video. Helped me slow down and breathe a bit. Thank you for all that you do for us! 💐
I’ve loved learning how to paint these flowers….especially the Antirrhinums (you call them Snap Dragons) that are one of my favourites. Here in the UK, they do not grow wild but are seen in English Country Gardens….a very ‘old fashioned flower’ that come in a wide range of colours; pale and dark!
So happy to see this late last night got up early to try and copy.....a joy for sure what a wonderful way to begin a day doing what one loves. Thank you so much.
I'm watching in awe as you make it look so easy -- and your teaching style is so encouraging. Thank you so very much for making these fantastic videos!
I just bought my very first set of watercolors!! I have never drawn anything except "stick people" You do such an amazing job of teaching!! My doodles actually are starting to resemble flowers ;) Thank you so much for being on UA-cam!!
Absolutely gorgeous...l can't believe how different they look when you are completely done. Absolutely amazing what you can do. Thanks for sharing. 🌿🌺🌿🌾🌿🌼🌿
I have been painting all your wildflower tutorials, then die cutting them and putting them on handmade cards. Wish I could show them to you. A little piece of art on a handmade card makes a nice, happy piece of mail to send to folks in this unusual, trying time.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am having a wildflower themed wedding soon and I wanted the tables to be named after wildflowers. I just got a watercolor kit and I'm so excited to paint these on the table signs!
Emma, I just discovered your channel yesterday and I am LOVING it! I'm new to painting - of any kind - and your tutorials are so easy and informative! Thank you for sharing your tremendous gift with us!
I’ve never painted anything in my life except “paint by numbers” pieces but I’m so motivated to try this! Thank you so much for making these videos❤️❤️❤️
So lovely! Thank you for this excellent and easy to follow step-by-step. You're a good teacher! My favorite is the Echinacea.I have many of them growing in my garden, so I will attempt to paint some today.
Emma, you did such a great job with the wild flowers! I learn so many things every time I watch your video. I need to paint those pretty flowers. Thanks for sharing your video. Helene

I can not wait to get those colors and the new watercolors I have been so impressed with the way those colors are so vivid compared to what I have been using I can't even come close but I've been in a funk for a few days and I've stopped doing what I love the most on my time and that is painting but also bored with the same ol same ol those colors make me happy so I have been more then ready to get them hopefully in a week or so I will be ordering them even if it comes in a kit I just can't wait ...but for tonight I'm going to use what I have, I love those flowers so pretty thanks for taking the time. oh and one last thing once again I almost feel like we have mental telepathy your always posting something I have been either wanting to learn to paint and it usually falls within a day or so of my thoughts weird but true
Am a senior beginner , with no notable talent, but have been captivated by your series! You are a wonderful teacher…
I so agree! I am just picking this up again after many years of working with fabric and yarn and such. Emma is so easy to follow. She’s fun too!
Same!

That's exactly how I feel. Thanks you Kerri 😊😊😊

So true!!! ❤

they're just like us, think 'diversity' 😆
I really like that idea, made me laugh out loud to think of painting stepped on flowers.
I love you and your work/your family but the very beginning intro with the beautiful soft music and the paintbrush bouncing in a lace-accented canning jar really sings 🎶 to me! THANKS for every little thing, Emma 😍
This really captures my painting AND gardening styles! 😄
Beautifully done! Crazy how each layer just makes watercolor pop!!
I’m awed by how you are able to do all this without sketching first. Thank you much for all your tutorials!

this is so easy to watch and enjoy while i unwind after a full day of caring for my mother... we will try this maybe tomoro.
Idk how many times I've commented it, but I seriously think it everytime... I love how you just "get to it" !
I’m also very new to water colour. I have learnt so much from you in such a short time..I love the way you don’t complicate your tutorials
Thank you. I love your calm way of teaching. I have to try and here beautiful flowers.
Obrigado!

Thanks for bringing some spring into our lives at this difficult time. We all need some beauty in our lives and your video does that. Thanks again.
I love your technical talk. It's pretty much the way I talk. I'm so in tune with you that I was thinking "wonky" right before you said "wonky!"
Coneflowers are also called echinacea and come in many wonderful colors.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!!

What a sweet picture i have in my mind of you and your cat watching Emma do her wonderful style of water color work.
I enjoy watching you paint. You describe the process simply, but effectively. I have a tendency to paint every detail, this will help me loosen up.
