Am a senior beginner , with no notable talent, but have been captivated by your series! You are a wonderful teacher…
I so agree! I am just picking this up again after many years of working with fabric and yarn and such. Emma is so easy to follow. She’s fun too!
Same!
what a lovely compliment! I hope you are still painting!
Emma, I love the way you teach. Just calm and simple instructions, no music. Please keep it this way!! You explain what colors you're using, how to paint each detail, and I love it that you complete a painting in one sitting. You are a talented artist and a super teacher! I've listened/watched others and no one compares to your style and talent! Thank you for posting all these for us to enjoy!
Ava
I love all the flowers and especially I love wildflowers
That's exactly how I feel. Thanks you Kerri 😊😊😊
YES! No distracting horrible music, which I hate. Thank you for keeping it simple and very learnable. You are great!!
So true!!! ❤
I’m awed by how you are able to do all this without sketching first. Thank you much for all your tutorials!
"Maybe somebody stepped on it". As someone who really wants to do watercolor flowers just like this, but is worried they'll look like crap, your words actually brought some tears, and a lot of inspiration. I'm digging out my water colors, and I'm gonna paint all kinds of miss-shapen, stepped on, and not-fully bloomed flowers, and I'll appreciate everyone of them as they are. Thank you! I'm glad your video popped up on my feed, I'll be watching more!
they're just like us, think 'diversity' 😆
I really like that idea, made me laugh out loud to think of painting stepped on flowers.
I love you and your work/your family but the very beginning intro with the beautiful soft music and the paintbrush bouncing in a lace-accented canning jar really sings 🎶 to me! THANKS for every little thing, Emma 😍
This really captures my painting AND gardening styles! 😄
Idk how many times I've commented it, but I seriously think it everytime... I love how you just "get to it" !
Thank you for all your help. I love how you are so chill about it and each day I feel like I'm improving a little more.
My favorite part is you saying “there are no rules in this” Love your teaching and your paintings are beautiful
I’m also very new to water colour. I have learnt so much from you in such a short time..I love the way you don’t complicate your tutorials
Thank you so much Emma for showing so many different variations of flower paintings! Normally I can only find videos on how to paint roses, but being able to see your process for painting so many types of flower is really helpful. Beautiful work 💕
I thank you for the reminders to “just have fun with it”. That’s what it is supposed to be about. As a newbie, I can get too intense and “over kill” too often. It’s not a contest after all! I am learning so much from you even at my old age.
A newbie again, but fantastic to be able to see such a great artist at work and able to explain so well. Thank you Beryl
This tutorial has me in full spring mode! So ready to start seeing these beautiful wildflowers popping up all over. Thank you for another great tutorial, being real and showing how to fix things, and for having simple ways to explain the process. Can't wait to paint these and mail them to family to remind them that after a winter there is always spring!
What a beautiful process to watch. Had trouble sleeping, anxiety about the virus creeping in, so I found your wonderful wildflowers to watch and calm down. Perfect little delicate images. You are so adept with your brushwork, it is just mesmerizing. Thank you for your art therapy in these crazy times.
I appreciate all the vids you are putting up. I’m in the hospital here in Tennessee and it helps keep my mind off things!, even though I can’t paint. Thanks!
Sarah Beverly...I am in Tennessee too, not in the hospital, but I wish you well.
Julie S. Thank you! Luckily I don’t have covid-19'. Actually covid-19 probably saved my life. I went in with a high fever and abdominal pain and it ended up being diverticulitis with a perforated bowel.
Sarah Beverly I hope you feel better soon!
Sarah Beverly I’m glad you are ok. Will be praying for a full recovery and that you will never have to go through that again! It must ave been terrible.
Thanks for bringing some spring into our lives at this difficult time. We all need some beauty in our lives and your video does that. Thanks again.
So loving your channel and talent! Thank you for inspiring a new retiree tapping into her inner artsy heart never explored before! I am having a lot of fun! 😊
this is so easy to watch and enjoy while i unwind after a full day of caring for my mother... we will try this maybe tomoro.
Me: Today's the day! I'm gonna paint along!
Emma: Okay! Now that the first layer is dry we can go back in with more detail! ☺️
Me: *still painting the first flowers*
Lol I loved following along with this video. Helped me slow down and breathe a bit. Thank you for all that you do for us! 💐
I can't believe how beautiful these flowers turned out! You have such a great eye for color and detail.
Delightful presentation. Great kind teacher. Lovely work.
You are a gifted artist, and I love to watch you make these flowers come alive.😊
I missed your Live Stream!!! But please do add this to your repertoire so I can get it into my schedule to watch every week. I love your teaching style - it's so zen and low stress to follow and great for those of us who are at the start of our journey. Thanks so much for doing this.
This is the first tutorial I’ve ever finished. Your teaching style is so nice. Straight and to the point and easy to follow. Thank you.
Thank you. I love your calm way of teaching. I have to try and here beautiful flowers.
So joyful. Thanks, Emma!
Beautiful!! Thank you Emma. You’re my favorite teacher ever🌺🌸
Hi Emma, it helps so much when you fix things, as we all need to do it and it’s the only way we can learn how! You are a great artist, but also have a special gift for teaching. Thank you.
I will be spending my day with you tomorrow painting all these flowers 💐 !
What a beautiful painting of wild flowers....I’m excited to get painting.
Thank you for all of your tutorials and your approach to WC is very much appreciated. I cannot imagine the time it takes to record these videos and edit them prior to uploading/sharing with us all - so thank you for your time and interest in sharing how to approach WC.
Thank you so much Lori!! ❤️❤️❤️
Pretty flowers and you paint them with so much ease, without sketching them first. Love this tutorial ♥
You are a great teacher. Thank you x
Ah, I hope you someday get to see these flowers in person. They are amazing. Thank you.
I’m a senior beginner too. And you are a wonderful teacher.
Thank you so much! Other teachers do one stroke flowers and leaves and I am just not great at them and they don't look as realistic as these, they look more folk artsy. This is more the way I end up painting, trying to make them more realistic, and thought i was doing it "wrong". Thanks for helping me realize there is really no right or wrong style as long as you get the results you are looking for. I like the more realistic look like this. They turned out great. Stepped on and all. :)
I love that you're also mentioning the color you are using and mixing. It's really helpful for me as a beginner.
Emma - It's really entertaining and calming to watch this during our isolation... my cat is enjoying it too, she positions herself so that she can watch over my shoulder, and stares at the screen non-stop. Thanks for keeping us both engaged!
What a sweet picture i have in my mind of you and your cat watching Emma do her wonderful style of water color work.
I’ve never painted anything in my life except “paint by numbers” pieces but I’m so motivated to try this! Thank you so much for making these videos❤️❤️❤️
So pretty! Thank you! I grew up in NY but I live in FL now. I remember these flowers well.
So happy to see this late last night got up early to try and copy.....a joy for sure what a wonderful way to begin a day doing what one loves.
Thank you so much.
The best video , ever. I love it. The flowers are so pretty.
Your work is breathtaking.
I have been practicing my watercoloring while I'm stuck at home - our county is under a "stay at home order" from the governor. Thankfully, both my job and my husband's job are allowing us to work at home. Hope you and your family are staying well during this time and thank you for all the inspiration!
Thank you for showing me I have the right idea and it’s okay to work your shapes a bit. I was watching another water colorist who states you shouldn’t do that. I have to remember everyone has their own style and one style may not be for you. Thank you! Beautiful water coloring.
Love watching you create something so magical
Love wild flowers, loved your painting! Thank you.
I just bought my very first set of watercolors!! I have never drawn anything except "stick people" You do such an amazing job of teaching!! My doodles actually are starting to resemble flowers ;) Thank you so much for being on UA-cam!!
Lovely! Thank you for this sweet demonstration!
Exquisite blooms! 😍
Love this video and can't wait to try painting these flowers. Thank you.
You are a great teacher.
Thus video makes me feel excited and eager to “get to it” and paint those lovely flowers! You are a great teacher, very inspiring!

I enjoy watching you paint. You describe the process simply, but effectively. I have a tendency to paint every detail, this will help me loosen up.

Emma, I just discovered your channel yesterday and I am LOVING it! I'm new to painting - of any kind - and your tutorials are so easy and informative! Thank you for sharing your tremendous gift with us!
So cheerful and fun. This tutorial has inspired me!
I’ve loved learning how to paint these flowers….especially the Antirrhinums (you call them Snap Dragons) that are one of my favourites.
Here in the UK, they do not grow wild but are seen in English Country Gardens….a very ‘old fashioned flower’ that come in a wide range of colours; pale and dark!
Gorgeous beautiful painting
My son in law loves cone flowers so I painted this one as a birthday card to send with his gift. Thank you for this super easy to follow instruction! I look like I've been painting for years1
these are beautiful, simple and very identifiable!
So relaxing to watch you paint. Thanks.
I loved this, the milk thistle is my favorite! You make it seem so simple. Thank you for guiding us through it, this will be my week project!
Beautiful wildflowers! I love all of them. My snapdragons come back every year and are really one of my favorites. Love to watch you paint. You make it look at lot easier than it really is at least for me. Maybe one day mine will look something like yours. I really want to try the snap brushes. Stay safe. Hugs! 🌸🤗
Just came upon your lovely tutorial!
