    Bekah, as a Disney lover, I’ve been watching you for many months now. Although my kids are grown and have children of their own, I love seeing how you and your family enjoy Disney world. Although I am a 70 year old grandma, my story is similar to yours in a way. In 2021 I decided I was tired of being obese and my health was definitely in jeopardy. I started eating and working out and strength training at the gym very similarly to you and it took almost 2 years but I am proud to say that I have lost 70 pounds and I am healthier and stronger than I have ever been in my entire life. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope it will help other women to see that they can make a heathy change too.😀

    I had no idea you struggled with your weight. I just thought you were one of those "lucky 🍀 people " like my sister who can eat whatever she wants and never gains weight. While if I look 👀 at a cheesecake I gain weight. So it has always been a struggle for me. Your story is so inspiring. 😭🥰

      Same! I ate literally a 60 gram (I weighed it lol) piece of banana bread and gained .5 pounds. Don’t sound like a lot but when you work hard and make a slip those little pounds make a huge difference. I had my thyroid etc checked and it’s all good. So my body just sucks lol

      Make sure you compare portions. I thought my thinner friends were eating as much as me, but they really weren't. You're more than likely eating more than your sister. Portion control is really hard but when you conquer that, the whole process is easier

    Wow Bekah, this video was so unbelievably helpful. I related so much to your story, especially when it comes to the slow and gradual weight gain that comes with a desk job. I had my daughter in the fall of 2020, lost a good amount of the baby weight, but now it’s back on…and then some! I’ve been motivated lately to make a change, and this video was a little sign for me to keep going. Love your channel and love that you are incorporating more of these styles of videos too ❤

    Great video and great inspiration! I'm on a mission right now. I used to be VERY athletic...played sports from elementary school to college DIII athlete. Did 6 years of CF...got pregnant and stayed active throughout...my son is 2.5 yrs old now and I've been trying EVERYTHING and just can't seem to get to where I want to be. I've been through Transform App, 1st Phorm, and now onto BODi (mostly for home workouts being a full time working mom).I'm looking to get back to muscle building and dial in that nutrition (macro counting). Thank you for being REAL and not sugar coating the journey!! With all these new weight loss shots out there like ozempic and wegovy, some people are looking for that quick fix... but losing weight isn't just about the scale or how the clothes fit, its about the mental & physical journey we take to get there and the lessons we learn along the way to help us better ourselves in the future. When I'm ready for a step up (aka my son goes to preschool) I'll have to check out that app. Great addition to your Disney content bc you are so much more than just that!

    Thanks for sharing. This sounds so familiar. From a guy's perspective, it also happened for me when I was late 20's and started my office job. I gained weight fast and just thought it was a part of getting older. It wasn't until we were expecting our first daughter and I was shopping for life insurance that a blood test showed high cholesterol. It scared me to think where I would be in 30 years if I kept going down the same path, so I read up on it and followed everything that was recommended to lower cholesterol including what foods to eat and exercise. I lost weight so fast I couldn't believe it. Truthfully, however, when I reached my lowest weight, I looked unhealthy. At one point I was 135 pounds at 6 feet tall. Keeping off weight can't be the only goal. I just didn't have muscle mass. I added more weight exercise and changed my diet to get balanced calories and more protein. Finally I looked better and felt better. The first daughter is now 20. I keep the same mentality and at 50 I still feel energetic and youthful. It's a great lifestyle to have fitness as part of your priorities and it serves you well for life.

    Love this! This is so encouraging for me after struggling with my postpartum body for the past four years and wanting to be stronger and fit to keep up and play with my kids despite my current lack of core strength. Definitely inspiring me to try my workout plans again.

    Whoa!! Omg I could cry. I feel like this is my story and I am currently working on getting stronger. I did gain the weight that I lost though and so I’m currently at a maintenance phase per my nutrition coach. But I’ve been so frustrated bc my pants are tighter and I am just ready to be in a deficit again but am waiting until the beginning of next year for that. But this was just a reminder to me that this can’t be my idol. I need to take care of myself but not let it control me.

    I’ve watched your old videos so I knew about your journey and have wanted to hear more- I really enjoyed this! I’d love a nutrition-focused video where you show us how you’re currently counting macros. (And also how often you work out! Do you do any cardio or all strength? I’ve been trying to ‘make the switch’ as I’ve always done the cardio thing- it’s easier!- but I know that strength training, especially as I get older, is more important! I have my ‘5s and 8s’ here at home!

    Yes! I always thought I was just getting older; our body changes. I was extremely active in HS and college and I also ate Anything I wanted and didn’t gain a pound. It wasn’t until I started my office job that I started to notice a difference. I didn’t recognize myself. Turns out, I do need to make some changes. Thank you so much for sharing your story! Can you share more about your meal plan? Also, how often were you working out in the beginning vs now?

      I totally understand! I I started and stopped so many times before truly going all in. With nutrition, I started with the container system with Beachbody. It really helped me visualize how much food I needed to be eating. Currently, I count macros. I’d be curious if that’s a video everyone would be interested in seeing! ☺️

      Thanks so much for watching! ☺️ During any kind of vacation, I give myself grace with following a meal plan. I try to make healthy choices by prioritizing protein and lots of veggies. I do allow myself to enjoy the occasional dessert, or cocktail ☺️

    What was your simple meal plan? Was it beachbody? I've been trying weight watchers and just have been struggling. I am at my highest weight ever (even more than I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter) and just feel awful...tired all the time...I need to do something else besides weight watchers I think. They use alot of sugar alternatives and sugar free and I'm not a big fan of that either. I have about 35 pounds I would ultimately like to use but also need muscle too. Thanks for your video.

      I started out using the container system with Beachbody to track how much of each food group I needed every day. It was an awesome beginner’s resource to visualize your food. Currently, I count macros and create my own meal plan ☺️

    Have you ever had to deal with bringing the (bad) snacks in since having a little one around or do you make sure her snacks are healthy as well? I’m struggling because I have a very tiny 6 year old (30lbs) who has struggled with weight gain her whole life and her doctor has always encouraged high fat and calorie intake so to do that we’ve had to have some not so healthy options around and it’s so hard to not give in and eat them myself.

      For the most part, Ellie eats all of the same foods that we eat. It definitely comes with its challenges though since she’s still a picky 3 year old 😆 But I would say start trying foods that are high in protein and fat but still “healthy” (I don’t believe any food is unhealthy, just not nutrient dense). Foods like peanut butter, avocado, cottage cheese, and yogurt ☺️

    Just a word of encouragement…your video popped up and I prayed about whether to watch it and the Holy Spirit said ‘yes’…I had no idea you were a Christian. I’ve subscribed. God is using your testimony. When I started working in ministry I was a healthy weight…although I did have fibromyalgia and that has always been debilitating. I completely neglected myself…I coped with the trauma I would listen to from others by comfort eating and gained 7 stone in total and my disability stopped me working. So far I’ve lost 44lbs and God has made it abundantly clear that I need to look after myself…from what I eat to my skin care regime…I’m important and this is a season to get my house in order. Thank you for having the courage to be vulnerable and obedient 🥰

    Love this video. Revelation Wellness is a nonprofit that I love! They use fitness as a way to share the gospel. They have a podcast you can take walks to or free workout videos!! All while speaking life over you. Just thought I’d share cause their content is so fulfilling for me and Christ centered.
