    I’m currently 205lbs and have never felt more miserable in my life. I’m starting a new weight loss program this weekend with the help of my doctor and a personal trainer because I’ve finally had it. I just want to be healthy. This is so inspirational because I too suffer from social anxiety.

      I was thinking the same; she’s so naturally pretty and genuine. It’s very brave of you to share your story, so girls and women make better choices. It’s not about looks and how others see you but your health and your self image. I love that you said we have to forgive ourselves because most of the time we are our own worst enemy. If we’re constantly comparing ourselves and trying to be something we’re not, we’re wasting time from meeting our true potential. Thanks again for sharing 💖

I turned 40 in December and in all my years, I can only recall 2 years of a healthy relationship with food; every other year was filled with binging, restricting, etc. I just started WW (Blue, too) two weeks ago and right now, it feels like a lifeline.

    I am not comfortable in my 240lb. 5’ 5” body. I’m working a lot, crazy stressed, and my family is going through a rough time. So, my mind tells me it's ok to eat a loaded-up burrito bowl from chipotle in one sitting. I have recently been having headaches, I'm not drinking as much water as I used to, and sleeping is difficult. I can honestly say I just feel lonely and anxious, but feel I have to put on a smile to make everyone else comfortable around me. I'm happy to see someone combat that every day. It gives ya girl some hope.

      @rachaelhill7196 3 роки тому +1

      I think quite a few of us are in the same boat. Don't give up!
      30 days ago I started walking for an hour every day. However far that took me, I didn't care. I figured it was better than anything I was NOT doing. And as I built up speed I did more distance in that hour. I didn't end up making it every single day due to weather or needing a mental break but I kept going. I've lost 10 lbs. I have also started eating only when I'm hungry and not by the clock. I'm working in changing my meals to healthier ones but just one meal at a time so I don't feel overwhelmed.
      It isn't huge but it is consistent. And I'm going for consistent.
      Forgot to say I am 5'4" and weighed 236 when I started. I'm 47 with 3 kids, the last is only 6 years old. And I gained 30lbs of "COVID curves" while our island was on lockdown.

    I did something similar, I weighed 182 lbs (which was high for me), so I just started to cook a whole chicken every Monday, have that for lunch throughout the week with vegetables and a little wholegrain rice and quinoa. Did a 5k run 3 times a week (brisk walks of about 4k on my off days) and so far (after about 6 weeks) I've lost 14 lbs. I still allow myself cheat days at the weekend, the odd takeaway but it feels sustainable. Slow and steady wins the race!

    Really appreciate you sharing your struggles. I too have lost and gained over 30-40 lbs several times and have come to the heaviest weight in my life and got stuck here. Most people don't care about eating disorders for heavy girls. No one can believe you would have a restrictive eating disorder. I have ate 800 cals a day for several months and lost a puny 10 lbs or so in that time while exercising and stopping that gained back 30lbs. No one gets it. Your story is motivational. Genuinely so! I’ve been there too and I still struggle with the restricting every once in a while, but I always find at the end of the day when I’m not restricting, and just focusing on eating clean, the weight comes off just as fast, if not faster because you have actual energy to be exercising and your giving your body the nutrition it needs to be able to operate at its best! I’m so happy you enjoyed the video! 💗

    AMAZING VIDEO!!! I’m currently going through the same thing, the great “YOYO weight loss journey”. Lost about 50 lbs in 2017, then something happened and gained it all back, year after I was able to lose 30 lbs again, then something happens again and gained all back, then came in the depression and anxiety. With food as my only comfort I gained even more weight than my starting weight. Fast forward to now, I’m starting my journey again.

Most videos I’ve seen talk about how they made a decision one day to lose weight and they just started losing the weight, but I made the decision YEARS ago, and my progress, weight, mental health, and motivation has been up and down since. You just have to start thinking of the process as a day by day situation instead of looking at how much work needs to be done to meet your goal. We LOVE a story that has ups and downs, isn't linear, and addresses so many mental challenges around food. I'm at the point where I need to take that first step but it's tough. I think the forgiveness piece is great advice. Thanks for this video ❤️

    There’s NO reason to jump straight to 5 days a week in the gym! Making small changes, I like how you used “phases” is such a better method. Your body and routine gets time to adjust to your new lifestyle, and you avoid the risk of burnout

    Came upon this video by accident and so glad I did (new subscriber!). By January 2020 I had lost 75 pounds with a year on WW...then in March meetings were cancelled in my area due to the pandemic. I've been working from home for over 10 months with trips to the grocery store. My exercise as well as gone down the tubes. I've put back a lot of what I had lost. Trying to get back but it is slow. For now trying to move my body - whatever activity I can do. Thanks for sharing your story and being an inspriration.

    Wow this is one of the best videos I’ve watched about weight loss first of all I love the background, you picked a great location it was very relaxing. And maybe because you were outdoors it was just very soothing to listen to because so many of these UA-cam videos their microphones are too loud or their voice is just not pleasant to listen to.

      You're definitely not alone. I feel like the struggle is tied to upbringing. The comfort eating was definitely a cultural/ family thing. Identifying your trigger foods is vital in my experience...like I have had to cut out cookies completely now, for example, because I always seem to become addicted even afte one....recognising destructive eating patterns has been super helpful :)

    I have a very similar story, this makes me feel less alone in this. I’m on a healthy weightloss journey now, down 45lbs and 28lbs from my goal! (I decided on my goal weight with my doctor & nutritionist so that it was realistic). Your video is so motivating, social media makes it seem that if your journey doesn’t start with something like the 75 Hard Challenge you aren’t really trying, but I’m doing what my body can handle right now. Which is eating right & walking 10,000 steps a day, and I can increase my workouts slow and steady like you did :)

    I loved your video! Thank you so much for your honesty, candor and your sense of humor! I was 100 pounds overweight. So far I’ve lost 30 pounds. I’m 60 years old. I would like to tell the ladies to GET THE WEIGHT OFF! I was too heavy for 25 years and now I’m having to get my hips replaced! Being inactive was also bad for my hips. (I was an accountant). I’m doing keto and it works. I can’t hardly do any exercise right now but I can still lose weight. Just throwing that out there in case it helps anyone else. I’m really proud of your accomplishments and I appreciate that you shared it with the rest of us.
