One thing I appreciate about this is the emphasis on Pearl and Marina both up-front together, both musically and in the choreography. I think it reflects well on the confidence we've seen Marina build over Octo Expansion and Side Order.

I consider this a second chance Nintendo has given us to experience Off The Hook again and I'll take this for granted til Splatoon 3 ends as a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Me too! Splatoon 2 was my first game in the series so off the hook always holds a place in my heart, but I didn't get it until updates had ended, so I only got to play on the rerun fests. It'll be awesome to finally see them preform in fests again.

I've noticed that in a lot of their recent songs. There's much less distortion/tuning than there used to be, especially on Marina's vocals. It really stands out in the end credits theme of Side Order.

@joelsytairo6338 I agree with you, but listening to this and the other new release and then going back and listening to OTH's stuff from S2 is a crazy difference. Like obviously Color Pulse 2024 and the original differ in a number of ways, but just listening to the tuning and distortion on the vocals there's a really noticable lack of distortion in the 2024 version.

Can’t wait to hear them sing again splatoon 2 was my first game in the series I love pearl and marina they are my favorite idols I have played all three games and beaten them all and beat the secret boss in octo expansion and beat the secret level in splatoon 3 story mode
Splatoon 2 was also my first look into the series (I still love playing it)

Splatoon is the only big franchise allowed to make cheesy pop culture references. It’s so hard to mess it up because of 1. The way the splatoon universe works and 2. The way the fanbase receives it (which is such a combination of irony and sincerity that it’s hard to describe). They released the dab emote seven years late and we still ate it up.
