That's my everyday, all day. Mine is a full height flat in Magnacut, and I think I've sharpened it lightly once since I got it. I typically just strop it weekly. Great fixed blade, disappears on your waist.
The 3.2 is just so ugly though. I cant do it. I have 4 guardian 3s and have had zero problems sharpening them or worry of "slipping" onto the blade. Just my two cents
Check out the new Giant Mouse GMF2 Scout. Absolutely love that knife! The kydex sheath is as minimalist as it gets, but perfectly functional. And they do the best micarta handles.
I have the Smolt in 154cm. I wish it was just a wee bit thicker. I know the 3v is tougher but I wanted an uncoated blade and it's such a small knife that I'm not sure "toughness" is going to come that much into play, but that could change!
This was an Extra Good list! ... I still carry my customized White River Knives ATK pocket fixed blade ... I added scales and had a pocket leather sheath made - Very handy.
Question for in-the-pocket fixies. Regarding the sheathes, is the idea to draw the knife directly out of the pocket or to remove the whole sheath from the pocket and then draw the knife out? Trying to figure out clip styles and the overall idea, thank you!
picked up up the MKM pocket tango with the nesmuck blade shape and Olive wood handles and it’s been my daily carry when I don’t feel like holding my large Sebenza.. surprised it’s also not on this list
20+ years with a small belt knife mostly sheepsfoot convex grind, think small pry bar with an comfy grip and edge, works well in my trade. I have others for the BBQ, but my working ones get ground down to a nub.
I actually love compact edc fixed blades. They're quick and easy to use, perfectly legal here and still easy to conceal because people treat you like a criminal if you carry a knife at all. My most carried fixed blades this year were the tkell knives piranha and the tactile knives dreadeye
On the AK2, to tighten up the lany, what I do is use a small piece of rubber tubing as a cord lock. Or just run a couple stitches through the lanyard itself. It tightens it up and makes it much less sloppy. YMMV
What about the sk09 from messerdepot x JE Made? That's my go to work fixed blade and it's a great little knife with scale options. If you like smaller fixed blades then I think it would be worth checking out. Happy new year to you guys. 🎉
Kunwu STIFFY P? Great list! Learned about a couple new knives. I've liked the buck alpha since it came out (didn't buy it) but it's very attractive and your right, it doesn't get enough love. They need to make a taco kydex sheath or magnet leather sheath with a micarta handle and it'll sell WAY BETTER
I have the Buck Scout 662 and it is amazing. Favorite edc carry. I’m getting a custom leather sheath for it though. The sheath is ok but not what I would personally like to wear
Attention to the flourishing Nine Point Knives in nitro V soon to be in cruwear. The lynx is an excellent pocket size with a versatile shape that excels at slicing your ingredients at the campsite.
You can buy the scales for the packlite separately. I bought the packlite first and then the scales and the barlow leather sheath for it... so I can completely swap the knife
These little blades are good for ? Leaning toward fixed beater knife that is more useful than these little things that is hard to hold. Buck 109 is the folder I'm confident with.
Two makers I would put at the top of this list: Winkler Knives and Joey Roman/ JRs Knives. Might be a little higher in price, but these knives you won’t ever have to replace. Specifically, Joey Roman Neckr and Winkler SD1. I’ve owned a lot of different brands and these two always end up at the top of what I use and carry.
Seems like you’re missing out on the MKC brand. They’ve got some amazing knives; definitely geared towards outdoorsmen/hunters. More than a couple models EDC well and are versatile!
Here's food for thought on edc from a lifetime on the farm/ranch. Pocket knife must be able to be deployed, used, and put away with a SINGLE GLOVED hand. Currently use a spyderco endela k390. Flashlight must be usbc rechargeable and have a reversible clip so it can go on the ball cap as necessary. Ear plugs in a plastic pouch can be used in any noisy environment. Plenty of things will make your ears ring. Wish I had carried these 30 years ago. Not edc, but when I know I will be using a knife a lot and don't want to dull/dirty up the edc, I like a basic 4-5" fixed in a sheath with a belt clip that you can put on and off without undoing the belt. Open leather sheath that you can use the knife a hundred times quickly with one gloved hand. My favorite is an old 5" boning knife that is sharp and slicey. Maybe this will give you a few ideas for future videos.
Can you rate my first rdc pouch its a victorinox huntsman, a multitool pen with 9 tools, an adjustable wrench, a random flishlight off Amazon and 2 bandaids.
On the Baby Banter section you said you could put an Ulticlip (which I have some) or a dcc clip... What exactly are the dcc clips? Sometimes the ulti's are just too hard for my old fingers to unlatch.
I believe the importance of a good sheath for an edc fixie cannot be understated… you kind of glossed over it when you brought it up while talking about the Buck Alpha. I have passed on many, many knives because of crappy sheaths, and that buck is one of those.
I agree. Many knives flunk, their sheath/carry option being a decisive factor. The cost of the Bucks is high enough to warrant a good sheath (and even grind), but it didn’t. Took some deliberation & time, but the alpha works so well for my EDC, I eventually ordered 2 customs from Marko Milenkovic / CustomCarrySolution (USA, @ Etsy)
The Vosteed website does call it the Mink XL. It looks like dealers didn't put XL in their descriptions. I love the size and shape of the original Mink. I just haven't gotten one yet!
Oh yeah Big Idea Design makes great stuff. Did you know they just came out with a pocket pouch? It’s like a bum bag but smaller you know it fits in your pocket.
I'm sure other people commented on this but I might not be pushing hard enough on the Walmart fixed blade. At least for me that was the case cause I love the knife and really like the sheath.
The best fixed blade for me is easy the UG Tools Tiny Magnacut in my opinion the perfect Edc blade, high quality made in germany and damn good materials 3d printed handle with a magnacut blade and not that expensive.
1) Bradford Gaurdian 3.2 2) White River Knives - Ursus cub 3) White River Knives M1 Pro
All these fixed blades ain't gonna fix my damn wallet 😂💸💸
The Wal-Mart one maybe. Sheath and price are why I carry folders
😂 same
After an entire year of carrying it I can say that the Bradford guardian 3.2 in magnacut is the best edc fixed blade.
That's my everyday, all day. Mine is a full height flat in Magnacut, and I think I've sharpened it lightly once since I got it. I typically just strop it weekly. Great fixed blade, disappears on your waist.
great knife indeed
I have a guardian 3 that I do like alot, but for the last 8 months I've been stuck on Overland Sport from tj Schwarz 😅
The 3.2 is just so ugly though. I cant do it. I have 4 guardian 3s and have had zero problems sharpening them or worry of "slipping" onto the blade. Just my two cents
Yes. 100% my daily over my CRK, benchmades, Chavez, and spydercos, it beats them all out. Will say the factory sheath is a pile of garbage.
I love the look out. Just got mine. It’s awesome
Check out the new Giant Mouse GMF2 Scout. Absolutely love that knife! The kydex sheath is as minimalist as it gets, but perfectly functional. And they do the best micarta handles.
Just got mine amazing good feel in hand and great size
Really got to put forward the Kizer Smolt, they have an awesome Amazon exclusive with black micarta and wooden inlays and 154cm blade steel.
My personal favorite EDC fixed blade from 2024 was the MKM Pocket Tango designed by DCA. MKM's magnetic sheath is so good for EDC!
The Kizer Smolt in 3V is also very cool. My friend has a special edition with carbon fiber scales, love it!!
I have the Smolt in 154cm. I wish it was just a wee bit thicker. I know the 3v is tougher but I wanted an uncoated blade and it's such a small knife that I'm not sure "toughness" is going to come that much into play, but that could change!
What’s the exact setup do you have in your right pocket? Knife and sheath info please.
This was an Extra Good list! ... I still carry my customized White River Knives ATK pocket fixed blade ... I added scales and had a pocket leather sheath made - Very handy.
Baby Banter Fixed got my $ this year. Put an Ulti Clip on it and it’s 🔥
That pack lite is i carry this blade and actually use it no complaints especially with the walnut 💪💯🔥
Loving the kizer mini harpoon in 3v
Did you change out the clip on the sheath? If so, what did you go with?
@ did a leather wrap thru the eyelets for a slimmer scout carry for my belt. The function and looks is pleasing for my taste.
Just picked up the axon I’m not a fixed blade guy but it made me a believer ,
The Mink is go-to. Love it. The Boker/Gentry M.U.K. Is pretty great too. It has the longer handle shorter blade thing in spades.
Dawson Knives from Arizona are incredible
Thanks! I am looking to get into fixed blade and this will be helpul
Question for in-the-pocket fixies. Regarding the sheathes, is the idea to draw the knife directly out of the pocket or to remove the whole sheath from the pocket and then draw the knife out? Trying to figure out clip styles and the overall idea, thank you!
Have you had your hands on either the esee cr2.5 or benchmade flyway. Or even both as a comparison for a smaller edc/ pairing type of knife.
Try the ESEE Xancudo! Great fixed blade for good price! Just needs a sheath upgrade.. I went with oak city leather V3
I got the swisstech leicht since I saw it on here. Great knife. I hoped out the lanyard holes with a punch and I got a ulticlip on it. 🔥
picked up up the MKM pocket tango with the nesmuck blade shape and Olive wood handles and it’s been my daily carry when I don’t feel like holding my large Sebenza.. surprised it’s also not on this list

When is your Civivi klingman coming out? I’ve been looking for it everywhere!
I recently got a Benchmade hidden canyon hunter for fixed blade edc.
While I don't have one I'm sure the mkm pocket tango is good. Earlier this year I picked up the mkm makro 2 and have really liked it.
I bought the Swiss Tech and really like it, came really sharp. Mine also snaps when I put it in the sheath.
Not sure whether it was new for this year, but my favorite is my Schwartz Overland Sport.
Any reason why you left the Giant Mouse GMF1-XL out of the line up? I'm just curious. I've loved mine.
What about the sk09 from messerdepot x JE Made? That's my go to work fixed blade and it's a great little knife with scale options. If you like smaller fixed blades then I think it would be worth checking out. Happy new year to you guys. 🎉
Hey Taylor long time viewer. Love your videos and what you offer. Is the only way to get the AK2 is to wait for a drop?
Who made the Buck alpha scout leather sheath you showed? Thanks
The Big Idea Design lookout with black G10 is my favorite of the year by far
The sheeps foot Vosteed mink is called the Vosteed mink xl
Can we get an update on the vehicle fleet? Did you have to sell a few things to get your current daily with the alucab on it?
Vosteed Mink for liiiife! Let’s goooooooo!!!
Kunwu STIFFY P? Great list! Learned about a couple new knives. I've liked the buck alpha since it came out (didn't buy it) but it's very attractive and your right, it doesn't get enough love. TKell Piranha is a great EDC fixed blade, surprised that wasn't on the list.
Taylor I could see you making your own brand of knives!
You can buy the scales for the packlite separately. I bought the packlite first and then the scales and the barlow leather sheath for it... so I can completely swap the knife
Right on. Thanks Taylor
Happy my birthday is coming up. Just need to see which knife that I should purchase. All of them are so nice.
14:27
I own the premium version.
Magnacut steel, G10 scales and an amazing kydex sheath!
Edit:
It's the Alpha Scout Elite.
Circadian is the perfect size for me. If only Reiff would consider making a version from a thicker stock, without scales and with kydex sheath.
"Leicht" is German for "light," as in lightweight.
have you dont a review on OTF blades? I would love to see your review on those. Middle of the pack ones or something.
Waiting on the Lander 4!
Same here
Have you had a chance to check out the Kizer mini harpoon in 3v?
The wicket and the chickpea, Nuge for the win!!!
These little blades are good for ? Leaning toward fixed beater knife that is more useful than these little things that is hard to hold. Buck 109 is the folder I'm confident with.

Ak4 from Boker is also in 3v its a bigger ak1 which I think you should check out
I’ve been carrying the CRKT S.P.E.W. It’s an inexpensive knife that holds up as a daily beater.
Seems like you’re missing out on the MKC brand. They’ve got some amazing knives; definitely geared towards outdoorsmen/hunters. More than a couple models EDC well and are versatile!
Wow, congratulazioni per il traguardo dei 400k iscritti!!🍻
Hello and thanks
Bark River makes some beautiful simi mass produced knives. Very unique!
Love the Bark River Mini Gunny in Magnacut, just need to find a better pocket sheath.
“Taylored by Cortes” makes great pocket sheaths. Tons of different options and leather.
I’ll check it out, thanks!
cant wait to present you my fixed blade i designed and coming for 2025
I've been stuck on my Overland Sport from Tj Schwarz since getting it 8 months ago, hardly carry anything else anymore.
SPK Shark is still one of my favorites!
Hello.
What do you think about esee sencillo please ?
You didn't show us the knife in your pocket! Also what watch is that?
15:32 I bought the alpha scout elite, because it came on magna and has a kydex sheath that I scout carry
Amtac blades for the win!!
I EDC the Hogue Extrak - tough steel and awesome sheath!
Never looked at that before. Looks really good.
Here's food for thought on edc from a lifetime on the farm/ranch.

I will always favor Esee knives but I do like that orange Mink!!!👍🏼
Taylor, TPK has the JWK FixEDC in blue abalone in stock right now. It is a TPK exclusive.
Also Mother of Pearl is available. 😊
I have that same wash balls here sign in my garage.
Can you rate my first rdc pouch its a victorinox huntsman, a multitool pen with 9 tools, an adjustable wrench, a random flishlight off Amazon and 2 bandaids.

Well... guess I may never know...
I really like the boker piranha
U can still get the jack wolf abelone fixed blade
My friend trying to find the video you made, teaching how to customize your knifes with a leather cord at the end of your knife.
No worktuff gear knives? I edc the kistune T every day.
I believe the importance of a good sheath for an edc fixie cannot be understated… you kind of glossed over it when you brought it up while talking about the Buck Alpha. I have passed on many, many knives because of crappy sheaths, and that buck is one of those.
I definitely agree but aftermarket sheaths are easier than ever to source

There's a Kizer Muskrat that perfectly matches your flannel.
The Vosteed website does call it the Mink XL. It looks like dealers didn't put XL in their descriptions. I love the size and shape of the original Mink. I just haven't gotten one yet!
XL has the wharnie blade, this one is the regular size.
Looking for edc fixed blade good for cooking or overland
I did my EDC fixed blade phase about 10 years ago, and I've been back on folders for the last few years.
BFF Packlite skeletonized FTW! Kicked the Benchmade Bugout out of my pocket! Superslicy superlight superthin easy to clean magnacut for 90 bucks!
Obviously i really like that orange mink 😅
Need to check out carry development hydra
Oh yeah Big Idea Design makes great stuff. Did you know they just came out with a pocket pouch? It’s like a bum bag but smaller you know it fits in your pocket.
I would go with Asher Knives 'Lil Buddy. $105 in 3V or $115 in S90V.
Always sold out, looks good and the price is fair, but parts are fabricated in China I believe.
That Boker is tempting.
What the heck is a DCC sheath clip?
Hi Taylor utility knife vid?
Esee Izula 2 or Esee Zancudo in S35VN. Mora Eldris for super budget
I'm sure other people commented on this but I might not be pushing hard enough on the Walmart fixed blade. At least for me that was the case cause I love the knife and really like the sheath.
White river ursus 45 is all I need
WTG nomad is a gem.
No mention whatsoever about the Hoglet??? Off grid knives made this one very well.
Need to throw some Half Face Blades in the list
The best fixed blade for me is easy the UG Tools Tiny Magnacut in my opinion the perfect Edc blade, high quality made in germany and damn good materials 3d printed handle with a magnacut blade and not that expensive.
