Glad you are doing these, most channels don’t do many fixed blades. Even EDC ones especially so this is a good niche audience you could get in the hobby outside bushcraft type channels.
I own few fixed blade. I like a lot my ESEE5. But I own a very special one made by Buck. It has been discontinued because too expensive to produce. The Buck 891 Ground combat knife. Made in 5160 steel it's a beast 👍🏻💪
i have both of the GCKs, I have the FDE Tanto and the Black Micarta spear point, 2 amazing knives that im glad i bought when i did because when the first batch sold out they were done. which one you have?
@@masy8525 totally agree. Imo the best modern fixed blade they have ever made. I like 1 or 2 of their older traditional fixed blades but the gck are complete smoke!!
@@GBall_Vision I have both version. The Tanto black version but my favorite is désert color Spears point. I saw torture videos on UA-cam and that 5160 steel is a beast. Lucky to own them 😃😉
@@jocemarine6247 that's awesome, mine are in mint condition - once I found out they were discontinuing them I hung them in my room as decorations. There's not many out there, I've had someone offer me double for the FDe tanto I have. NOPE 😂
@@GBall_Vision I have a lot of small fixed blades, but with the H2, it's a great knife plus it has a great sheath for belt carry any way you want to carry it.
thats a good choice man, glad you are here and enjoy the videos. Welcome to the family brother. The Ashers should be back in stock very soon. Ill keep this updated
A stonewashed Axial Alpine V2 with titanium scales has been my EDC fixed blade for about three months now, and so far, I've been impressed with it. It handles my general EDC tasks, while a Pinkerton Inversion or an Emerson Elvia hangs out in another pocket.
Todays carry is the Spyderco Military 2 and the Civilian, and ALWAYS the Leatherman MUT for work, no I don't have an AR-15, I install flooring for a living and this multi tool is perfect for many things as it's one of my most valuable tools after my hammer and work knives. It's hard to choose a favorite, anything with a really acute tip, straight back blades, a sheepsfoot/reverse tanto warncliff or trailng point LoL. That nearly covers most blades. Awesome top ten picks.
Stumbled into a candy land...what a nice collection, thanks for sharing these! The RUIKE F815 is really overlooked, that little guy can actually split logs and keeps the edge, pretty stout for the size and a classic blade shape. What would you say is easier to pocket carry between Militaw and Mink?
thanks for hanging out! the Ruike knives are beasts. the mink will be a bit easier due to the length of the militaw, the xl mink and militaw will be fairly similar
@@GBall_Vision Thank you! Would the Dex maybe be the best in-between? Hard to tell without comparing them all together. Maybe a comparison video idea ;)
I can do that actually - the dex is fantastic as well. The tough thing is there are a bunch of good ones. I'll get a video up on it here sometime within a week or so
Of the knives you featured, I bought the Sitivien ST14, the Militaw, and the Smolt. The Smolt must be my favourite. It’s the only one I’ve bought two of, 3V and 154CM. At some point, I’ll get the Asher Little Buddy. I don’t know if you’ve handled the Kizer Muskrat. But it would be worthy of an honourable mention.
That's great to hear. The smolt is awesome, the Asher Lol Buddy and fixie are similar but with s90v and a taco sheath. The Muskrat is amazing and did win my micro EDC fixie of the year 🔥 ua-cam.com/video/g8qjWFZgaVk/v-deo.html
Gotta get a Militaw fixed blades. That aluminum and S35 VN is nice but the value of the micarta and nitro V is great. Boker AK1, The Axial, and the Lil Buddy are definitely buys.
Kizer muskrat is up there for sure. Omesio makes a little neck knife that is very similar to it too if you’re on a smaller budget. It looks and feels a lot like the Kizer. They’re both on Amazon.
Man I slept on that Alpine it was on sale $160 now it’s $230 but lord willing ima get a Asher fixie this go around I’ve been checking about daily for week/months now
What’s with the cleavers? Can someone explain what they enjoy about them, or how they can be better or worse than a more standard blade shape? My personal favorite is the reverse sheep’s foot. Because of the strengthened tip. To me the cleaver just seems overkill to the point of useless.

Check out the JeaBrother knife it cost $29 looks exactly like your number 1. I personally love mine Or my watchman we222 I don't believe a knife should cost a fortune.
I won't buy another Ruike 14C28N. The one I got had what appeared to be a burnt edge and questionable heat treat. Edge rolled and chipped like crazy just cutting cardboard and pine shims. $50 wasted; no remedy from the manufacturer.
How did you reach out to them? I've never heard of that happening to anyone. What happened to you is rare and a 1 off type of thing. My experience and the dozens of others I've heard about Ruike are all positive
