Nice quote there at about 2 minutes - "Everybody's had a road rage incident in Utah". I grew up in Utah, but left there decades ago for other states that I like better. Whenever I have to go to Utah for some reason I constantly remind myself that I'm now surrounded by "Utah Drivers". I don't understand what the problem is, but the state of Utah definitely has an issue with bad/aggressive drivers that is beyond what I've seen in any of the other ten western states. It's even worse than in Las Vegas, which is pretty bad.
It would be nice if the governor or some other politician tried somehow to fix the issue. The problem in Utah is real.

Seen tons of road rage incidences in Brampton Ontario when I worked there, every single day East Indians( never once seen another race of humans do this) chasing each other down in cars, pulling uturns whenever they wanted, running red lights, cutting other drivers off without a second thought, stopping in the middle of 3 lanes of traffic always getting out of their vehicles with huge sticks to try and assault their perceived opponent. This happened every single day! Never ever seen a police officer either when this happened, ever! When I worked down there I learned fast to never look at the car/driver next to you, eyes straight ahead and on the road. Everyday I could not wait to get out of that city after work was over. The day I retired was the best day of my life to never have to go back to that city again. Stay safe people.

My wife works in Brampton and she says that taking the 410 is not a picnic either. I ain't never seen so many nut bar drivers not only in Brampton (which is an insane wild west city) but throughout the GTA and the highway 401 freeway. It's like everyone is out for themselves on those roads. No considerations of other drivers, no one lets you merge into a live lane or let you in a lane when you have your blinkers on, tailgaters etc. I have to swerve over many times cuz ppl don't watch when going into my lane. I also noticed that ALL pick up truck drivers are the most aggressive with their urban assault vehicles. I dare not look at anyone also when driving cuz I don't wanna get shot. It seems all semblance of civility and humanity is gone out on those roads. Stay safe.

Being from Utah, I know I will get slammed here. The kiddo being interviewed shouldn't have to buy a gun to protect herself. We, as a society, shouldn't have to worry about protecting ourselves from jackasses.
As a society, we need to bring the anger level down, raise our empathy, and just do much better than what we are doing now.
I have seen similar situations, and praying put myself in the way to allow the otherside to figuratively disarm. It just seems that, instead of helping somebody in need, people whip out their cell phones to record the often gruesome stories in the guitar of helping. Fine, I can buy that for sine, though if you are a capable human, step up and stop these asshats from f'ing with your kid, or somebody else's spouse and/or kids.
We have the power to decide to be better, to do better.

IMO, a civil penalty of fomenting "road rage" should be a default revocation of license, with the ability to get a RESTRICTED license (akin to those issued to DUI miscreants) only after at least a year, and AFTER successful completion of probation conditions, including and especially "Anger Management" and drug addiction therapy.

One lady from Providence was in the car with her daughter as the driver and the daughter rear ended me pretty hard. The mom had the unmitigated gall to ask me not to call our insurance about it. Not only that but she was mad when I told her that yes, I’m absolutely calling the insurance company about it.

Second thing is this, in New York they’re very strict gun laws, but maybe in Utah it’s different, and that’s the main reason a person should be carrying a gun to protect themselves. A lesson to be learned, stay in areas of the country that are conservative, because in areas like New York, which are liberal Democrat, you’re not allowed to protect yourself (Gun laws) and criminals who are either psychotic, and/or carry weapons

If the man punched the window, the driver of that car must have done something really HORRIBLE (as in almost causing an accident) to bring that on. People don't get out of their cars and risk being hit in traffic for nothing. The horrible driving behaviors need to end. Drug behavior only compounds this problem.

Utah's new road rage law which goes into effect today is the only state in the US to pass this specific road rage law. This new Utah road rage law dissuades drivers from being aggressive on Utah's roads by increasing the fines on citations, giving law enforcement the power to impound vehicles suspected of being in a road rage incident, and allows the court the suspend/revoke driver's licenses for repeat road rage offenders.
