I’m a casual. I pugged my first run last night in gnomer. Wiped once on the 5th boss and 3x on the last boss. I had to go healing mage to help but we got it done. I still have all stv etc to do. If people have ran out of things to do that’s their own fault
Good on you guys for figuring out a way with the group you had! Most just say "Oh well we cant do it, don't have the right comp."

if youve leveled enough you know how to get to max level pretty fast. i guess you could take your time but its not new content its 19 year old quests. the fact is that theres simply no max level content outside of gnomer and to a casual that plays 2 hours a week im sure you wouldnt notice. but ALOT of the player base simply raid logs because theres nothing to do
Completely agree with slowing down the phases. We will NEVER have this exact game and meta again. Fuck the retail brain that can't relax and enjoy what they have.

I know it. I took my sweet time casually questing to level, much to the dissatisfaction of guild members
the only "new" things are the runes and the raid. i dont really see the point of slowing down phases even further when the only content outside of gnomer and a laggy stv event is 19 year old quests
@@aaronneal7099 the runes and raid give us 8 classes with brand new ways to play them compared to before. I don't get bored of the phase until I've tried them all, but I can't because the phases are too short

Nope. Logged on at 3am after a storm woke me up. 500 people in Ironforge doing a mount parade. Ran out to do some quests, players all over the place out in the wilds.
We agreed on the same thing during the show. SoD is not dying in our eyes.
little pushback on the increased blood from mobs, at some point this isnt going to be current phase content so i think eventually mages will be able to just chain pull and kill them at a comparable or better rate than what engaging with the pvp could get if it were buffed like that you so i'd be a i'd be a little hesitant with that
IDK, I just watched a Xaryu video where he made 3k bronze in one STV 30 min event. That just makes us non mages feel really bad.

I swear to god. I bought my mount on my mage less than an hour before the mount cost reduction. It sucks but if it brings more people back to the game I’ll live with it.

I literally posted this comment before the cost reduction was in the game so clearly I’m saying an hour before they announced they were reducing it. Something which the author of this channel had zero issue in understanding yet you are struggling with.
We raided on every single raid reset in P1 and many in the group was still missing BiS items (epics mainly, but also relics etc). Didn't really get the chance to play the phase being decked out, and people were messing about with alts when P2 dropped. Just felt too early. And now people are crying to get P3 already. It's literally pointless to play the game when the second you get your character maxed out it is made irrelevant.

The majority believe there is nothing to do in p2 outside of gnomer and rep grind. So yes, bring on p3 if it means more content.
If they added more content to p2 that would be incredible, but they’re not gonna do that.
I was sick and played barely at all for a good month and a half. And I am leveling 3 toons. That much behind and I don't care. Actually I am glad because now my mounts will be less. And I am in no rush and having a great time. 'Lagging behind' is an artificial, mental stumbling block in a game that doesn't end. To quote a great individual, "What's your hurry?"

They said you would get the bonus gold that you would get a 40 so if it’s 3 gold at 40 it’s 3 gold at any point you just also get XP not more. Also who cares about the mount if you wanted it you wanted it now it’s good for alts
Is that what they said? If that's true I need to actually level the 25s I have even though I never plan to raid on them. I just remember it reading as something like "Increased gold for quest turn-ins"
No, it’s not dying. If anything there are too many players. I logged off today after trying to quest for an hour and not completing a single one bc it was just a tag war. It’s just like p1 launch again. So annoying. I wish it was dying, then maybe I’d be able to quest instead of spam SM for 13 levels in row. There’s also no shortage of elitist Dbags requiring 6/6 exp, all world buffs and consumes and BiS gear to do gnomer and interviewing you to check your logs like this is some world first race mythic parsing.
I'm sorry you're having a rough time. And yes I agree, there are a lot of people gatekeeping with logs. Its rough out there. Curious to what you're playing. Cause that makes a HUGE difference in group acceptance.
BUT! I will say, that's all due to warcraft logs and min/max content creators dictating the meta.
Everyone wants to parse. Luckily I run my own raids now and can just take whatever class. For instance my next 2 raids are without a wind fury.
But we don't care, we will get it done. And in doing so I'll stay forever at a average 80 something parse. So be it, I'm having fun!

@@warcraftreloaded I really wish blizzard would put a restriction on addons like logs, damage meters, etc. I totally understand the value of knowing those numbers, but I also see how it’s used to gatekeep the community and that’s more damaging. I play an arcane mage that can heal or dps, and a melee hunter.
Things were the same way back in p1 and as a result I never got to do BFD until after p2 release, to which I realized it was insanely easy and there’s absolutely no reason anyone should have been gatekeeping it. Yet they were.
The sad thing is this has ALWAYS been an issue. The reality is that these SoD raids are not difficult to the point where you need to have consumes and world buffs. Do they present a level of difficulty at some point? Sure, the last 2 bosses of gnomer CAN be difficult…but that’s not because Joe doesn’t have world buffs or a sages elixir. Maybe it’s bc Bowjobs over in the corner can’t be bothered to stop parsing to push a button or kill a bomb.
The mentality of having to be the best and have the best for level 40 content is beyond stupid and only serves to divide the player base and maybe shave 20min off your run time (assuming you didn’t spend an extra 20min filtering through valid candidates for that one guy that’s 6/6 full consumes and WB)
Some people just dont want their time wasted on an incompetent group. You can have a run that takes one hour and a run that takes 2.5 hours and still might not get the final boss down. If you have decent logs it’s safe to assume you know what you’re doing.
@Alucardd-tt8eb oh trust me it doesn't take 20 minutes to filter through and find someone willing to put in the extra effort and grab a few consumes and a single world buff. I'll take a non 6/6 pug with me if they are willing to put in the extra effort and grab consumes+ 1 world buff. The people who just show up lazily with zero consumes, no water no world buff then proceed to ask people "does anyone have a stack of water or some arrows" or my personal favorite "hold on guys I gotta hearth for reagents/repair" like what.. why aren't you prepared for a raid.. You're wasting 9 other people's time at that point. It would be like showing up to a job interview drunk, in your pajamas and being upset at the interviewer for not giving you the time of day. That's not on them, that's on YOU. It really isn't that hard to show up prepared, and if you don't want to, that's great just find 9 others that have the same mindset as you and go in there and blast it out in 4 hours, if that's how you have fun. No one's stopping you.

Heirlooms are amazing
Some people like Coke and some Pepsi and some both. We will just have to agree to disagree on our opinions. Which is ok :)
Heirlooms destroy all dungeon items and quest rewards. Why would anyone want that.
How about... runes that give XP% on say necks/rings? :) would allow replacements unlike heirlooms. And you rarely replace all 3

They should have done just a one ring and put all xp bonus on that (if any heirloom is necessary at all)
They banned GDKP and the game died. Too much hassle trying to find Gnomer Raids and with people leaving after they win their loot randomly and leaving us saved to a fail lock is also annoying. Bring Back GDKP u brought in 100x XP a botters wet dream so now theres 10k bots cause they can reach 40 mount herb / mine long before any ban....U cater to RMT Bots but ban GDKP where we can raid with some good people and clear get gear / gold... This season of Bots is more like it now.
We talk about it on the podcast and basically determine SoD isn't dying. The more likely scenario is most people hadn't hit 40 yet. As you can see the raiding population jumped up by 80k raiders logged on Warcraft logs. ironforge.pro/population/sod/overall/
And I would wager the number will grow quite a bit this week as well.
