At the part where he duplicates the arm (around 4:07 ), you can save yourself a step and select the leg as well before duplicating and mirroring.

The most amazing part which many (including myself) don't understand completely about it is to build a custom rig from PARTS! for example if it's not a human or quadruped animal:
Number of Tails, stretchy limbs, 2 heads... tail, etc... and connect them all into one meta-rig!

Sir, where is 2 part of this tutorial
So for some reason, when i try to Ctrl P my bones to my body, like half the body ends up under the "floor" of where the model is standing.
I had this issue I know exactly what you mean. So I ended up doing step by step raising the character up. I started by raising the bones first which made the body move weird. then I clicked the body and used the rotation tool to bring it and put it right side up together with the bones. Let me know if you want a video

guys! if you got weird results with the rig you should take a look in the weight paint section. you should totally modify the weights

did you parent the stickman to the Rig? ie. the stickman will become the child of the parent Rig.
Oh wow... So what exactly is -1? I do not know of such a key heheheh. Furthermore, great tutorial! I managed without thinking about that -1 thing. :P However, I have seen different types of rigs for like really complex models that look nothing like this "ordinary" stickfigure. I have seen armatures made from straight lines. When would you really use that type ? I also figured out from this video that if you have several objects on your .obj, .fbx or whatever you're using you can add those to your armature and make the separate objects be part of your own rig.
How do you reset the bones after you move them?

The outer arms and legs rotate fine, the chest and upper arms are pretty fucked up probably due to the way they are connected.

I only have two tutorials on rigging, I have forgotten whether any of them has any information on inverse kinematics. There are other channels that covers that topic well though.
@@Olav3D Then I'm pretty sure I have seen all the tuts you have on rigging. I have watched a few other videos from other channels on IK but both used different methods and to be honest, they confused me.
I probably just need to go rewatch tutor4U's dog robot video. I followed his tut back when I first got into Blender and was able to follow it.
I think making an IK video explaining the settings would be a good video for you to make. Just a suggestion though.

I'm sorry for giving u a vague question earlier, i love Blender community and i found out.

All i had to do is just press one button which i had pressed earlier by accident, one small button that i never was gonna realize even after trying everything. It activates rotation in pose mode otherwise things remain locked. Below on the task bar menu, next to pivot center for rotation, where u choose if u will rotate from 3D cursor or median point, just press that button. Its good now. Thanks for the tutorial.
