The Blender Animation Studio is currently developing the story and seeks for funding to bring this adventurous comedy animation film to an international audience.

      Many people are paying for software when there are better, free, open-source software they could be using. It's not a testament to how great free can be, it's a testament to how stupid people are. Seems to be a pretty high number at that.

    You have no idea how much I want this to be a full scale movie. Hes like Johnny English but not completely goofy and he still have some spy elements to his character (improvisation, combat skills, slight technological advancements, etc)

      You should now that just because blender is free, it does not mean its not a pro animation and 3d modeling software. It has a built in video editor that is similar to premiere pro and it can do VFX

    I actually felt more suspense an emotion in this than most big movies. I honestly had no idea what was going to happen and was actually scared for the mc. His expression were so good at doing story telling.

    2:02 - best moment! The character does not take an item at the last moment, as usually happens with the main characters, but reacts quickly and takes another one!!! I was surprised by this! XD
    The animation is short, but exciting and looks finished. I'm thrilled!

      Eh...with Yafray and current hardware...probably not that much....but there is so much more to a 3D suite then just Rendering...and blender is showing off well.

    when I saw the first scene where the agent is speaking into the watch. I thought the background was painted and then when the focus goes into the background I was amazed by the amount of details.
    loved the amount of props in this short.
    From cosmos onwards the institute has reached another level. Congratz to all the artists and programmers who made this possible. This is amazing.

      +Best Things to See In Life That depends on the number of people involved in the creation. If it were a single person, I think this would have taken at least 1-2 months to finish modelling. And assuming they had a single PC, 4-5 months for rendering in 1080p. Bringing the total to about 6-7 months. But remember, that is just for 3 minutes. To make a 1.5 hour long movie would take at least a year with those resources. That's my most optimistic estimate.

    Who prefers this type of animation over games that try to look totally realistic? I feel it ages a lot better. I can play a ten year old game which is animated/has graphics of this style and it feels much newer/smoother than a 2 year old Call Of Duty.

      Well no, metal gear solid aged really well, despite also attempting a realistic design.
      Visually cartoonish characters age better because they're more bloated and vibrant while realism takes an immense amount of detail that's limited by the hardware.
      But what determines a game's longevity is its consistency, gameplay, and feel.

      Almost right, Ron. Agent 327 is comic book series. The creator had in mind to make a bad copy of James Bond. And that reflects the Dutch, the Dutch are mediocre. And pride themself when they to the top once in a while. There is always a humor element in it, that's why Agent 327 is clumsy.

      Ohhh, I forgot to mention that Agent 237 is in the comic books aided by Olga Lowina. She is a former Swiss secret agent, but went rogue. Needless to say, she is blond bomb shell.
