That person that sent it back must be just crazy because the pieces you have picked up like you picked up probably four are absolutely gorgeous just stunning unbelievable they're so pretty
I had the best time learning about this jewelry box contents! I hope I can find more of your videos and learn more.I’m waiting for some money. I want to find precious pieces, not just go buy nice stuff. I like old…I might have to go shopping to replace my jewelry lost in a California wildfire and buy a couple…but discovering pieces is exciting…
My gold guy taught me this recently. I suggested that maybe the clasp isn't true gold and he explained that it is it's just the mechanism inside. He also told me that sterling silver can have a tiny magnetic pull.
Nice video. Sure takes time for all the sorting. A couple of things. On the delicate gold chain - the clasp is called a spring ring, not a jump ring, although there are jump rings that are right next to the spring ring and usually are the terminals on chains and other components to hold the components together. On fine jewelry the jump rings are mostly soldered together and on costume they are not, but can be opened and closed to join the parts. You might want to check the pearl stud posts again, as I think the post backing was what was magnetic not the posts themselves. Worth another look anyway. Enjoyed the search with you.
I have several of the bracelets like your emerald and diamond bracelet. Mine are a sapphire one, A ruby one, N emerald one and an amethyst one. I paid between $125 - $225 for each bracelet but that was back in 2007. No idea what they are worth now but it has to be more I have passed them along to my granddaughter as I now have terminal cancer. Good luck with your business! 😊😊😊
🙏🏻so sorry you are ill 🌺. I sent my 2 Granddaughters each a James Avery charm bracelet with 3 charms on each .After only having 4 sons Granddaughters are well welcomed 🥰❤️.Praying 🙏🏻all goes well for you Sandra 🌹.
I wear a magnetic hematite bracelet. I have loupes everywhere. And I just do it for fun because I am a poet/songwriter. I have over 100 grams of 18k gold.
I enjoy your videos and even though they say you cant teach old dog new tricks I am learning a lot from you . Have had trouble finding a mandrel to measure bracelets . Really nifty ruler with the slide measurer on it does it slide wide enough to measure bracelets? Even if not I need to get one , it looks really handy
Rusty, I love your videos! I’ve collected costume jewelry for 22 years, nothing expensive or valuable, but your videos have helped me learn about stuff!
I would take along a Diamond Selector II as well. They are cheap and can help you determine if a piece of jewelry has diamonds or not. Not the perfect tool, but at least gives you a higher probability.
I really appreciate these videos - you've taught me a lot about jewelry construction. Some thoughts on stones - The "maybe agate" pendant looks like Howlite, to me. Usually you can see some light through an agate & agate is gonna be worth more than howlite. Clear/colorless tourmaline (achroite tourmaline) is super rare & quite valuable. Odds are really, really low that a random clear stone you're testing is gonna be tourmaline. Almost certainly glass. Thanks again!
I learned so much from this video, which made me go out and buy the tools i need to test almost 40lbs of jewelry that I have had in my closet for ages. WOW and to think I was just going to Donate to the Boy's Club for their sale to raise $$. Again Thank you..
That AVON ring @21:14 is from 1977. I sold AVON then. I also had 3 I accumulated at estate auctions inn box lots. Not sure what the value is as I haven't tried to sell it or researched it. And Caravelle watches is a secondary line from longtime New York watchmaker Bulova. They can sometimes bring decent $.
How do I list the rocks that are not rubys, diamonds etc etc with a gold or silver chain? Gemstones? Will be a general name? So “10k bracelet with gemstones”? Thanks
Rusty, I don't know if you check these, but there are a couple things I wanted to say. First of all, I wanted to say you're amazing. I have learned so much from you. I truly believed I knew a lot about reselling a lot about jewelry and a lot about how to Google things and figure it out myself. But I truly have learned a lot. And I appreciate you more than you will ever know. One thing I wanted to tell you, yesterday. I found a necklace from sarah Covington that was sterling Silver. It said both Sarah Covington and Sterling silver on the same necklace tag i send you a picture but I don't know where to send it. Secondly, in this video on the ring. You say that baette could be tourmaline. I've mined tourmaline. As far as I know there's no clear tourmaline. You've said something like that before in some other video I can't remember.Tourmaline is my favorite and I go to the tourmaline mines. I have gotten so much jewelry, so many family members have passed away. And now you make me want to go buy more stuff, but luckily the video of "don't go by more stuff" came up so i'm not doing that. My husband thanks you for that, I thank ❤😊you for all your help.
Hello. Just found your channel and hubby and I watched this video today. It was fabulous!!! Where do you sell? I’m interested in your rhinestone lot that other buyer sent back. Hugs from Oregon.
I used to love playing Operation. It's sad that they don't make games like that anymore. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I took plenty of✍︎ notes. You're awesome! ℬ🐻✌︎
Great video!! I want to start selling jewelry and that was very informative. The only question I have is how did the scrap the metal off without damaging the piece?
the ring at 21:16 into your video is a kensington ring from avon. I wanted this ring when i was a young girl but didnt have money to buy it. What amount will you sell this for
The circular clasp on the gold necklace has a metal spring inside it, which is what is causing it to be picked up by the magnet. The clasp will be gold, if that is what it's marked. This is a common mistake made by people, so you really need to test the clasp.
Can I ask what state you live in? The reason being the emerald stoned bracelet is identical to a bracelet I have been looking for? If you don't mind just a question
Grrreat content! Rusty, what are the best ways to clean costume jewelry, such as rhinestones? Thank you! ps What about real jewelry? How would you clean it?
A friend gave me jewelry that belonged to her mother. It was a BIG box. Most of it wasn’t valuable at all. However, there was some gold and silver. A jeweler gave me $250 for it and I gave it to friend. I sold some Trifari earrings also.
Cousin, this has been the best demonstration of jewelry on you tube! You are a genius! I
Iove your channel!
Rusty, I luv your channel! Please don't throw away the bits and pieces. Make a bag of whatever parts and sell it to the crafters.
Wow, Rusty, you're so personable and clever in what you do .By educating yourself so well, we can all learn a lot from you.Thank you!
Fabulous finds of gold and silver!
The jewelry box itself is beautiful! So many treasures.
Good for you to pay your friend something more. The honest thing to do. Great to see such integrity in someone. Enjoy your vids.😊
That person that sent it back must be just crazy because the pieces you have picked up like you picked up probably four are absolutely gorgeous just stunning unbelievable they're so pretty
May God bless Rusty and his reselling always. Most grateful for unselfishly sharing valuable knowhow in identifying and pricing jewelry.
With the earring backs you should save till the end and see if it needs a back😊
On the silver ring was a little red heart
That Beautiful green necklace the stone one I would buy that from you. Let me know how much you want for it. Please..

The backing on the little pearl earrings is magnetic and the jump ring on the gold necklace has a spring inside that is magnetic
My gold guy taught me this recently. I suggested that maybe the clasp isn't true gold and he explained that it is it's just the mechanism inside. He also told me that sterling silver can have a tiny magnetic pull.
Beautiful bracelet
This was a very helpful video! Thank you!😊
The springs inside the spring rings are magnetic.
Thank you for the walk down Memory Lane today into my grandmother's jewelry box when I was a child.
Great video lots of good information, thanks for sharing.

Rusty Excellent Video Cuz! Thank you!
I wear a magnetic hematite bracelet. I have loupes everywhere. And I just do it for fun because I am a poet/songwriter. I have over 100 grams of 18k gold.
The "plunger" earrings are made for people who do not have pierced eats. Normally, they are referred to as clip on earrings.
Thanks for sharing 😊
Wow wee. That was incredible.
Lol! You are clever. Way to plug your other channels! Love it!
Such a valuable video! I appreciate all the content. I’ll be ordering a gold test kit tonight. Thanks.

Great video. Love seeing the gem tester and scratch test as I never saw that before. Really cool.

Wow I haven't seen any of those charm earrings since 1992!

Just excellent...loved the gold, silver, and gemstone analysis
Fantastic video! You answered sooooo many questions I've had! Thank you!!
Thank you for going through the whole process. Helped me tremendously. Where do you find the daily price for silver and gold?
At 47:51 the Jump Ring is gold and why the magnet is picking it up is because the little spring in the jump ring is not gold.
Thank you!
the springs in jump rings are usually not gold or silver. They usually react to a magnet.
Great video
Love that daisy looking flower on stem, frosted looking petals with pink stones. How much would you sell that piece for?
Happy to hear your wound is healing🎉
One of the best demos of jewelry!
This is awesome!!!
You need to look for Backlite in the costume jewelry. Some of that goes for big bucks!
How do I list the rocks that are not rubys, diamonds etc etc with a gold or silver chain? Gemstones? Will be a general name? So “10k bracelet with gemstones”? Thanks
Inspiring. Thanks for much for your tips!
The round hand made glass beads are with something. Depends on how detailed the design is.
Im a new subscriber, great informative video, and what a lovely gift you have there .....
this is real awesome! Thank you! So helpful!
Very important information! Thank you very much 🙏
Love your channel UA-cam recommended to no regrets after all I love it

Thank you for the entertaining video. How much please for the black jewellery tray lot in the beginning of the video? 🙂
Great video Rusty. Thank you for all the info.
The Cardinal pin is a bowling award probably for a high game. VSWBA is Virginia State Women’s Bowling Association.
Very interesting and learned a lot.
Love the Mona Lisa on your wall , Rusty if that was the original would've been the find of the millennium 😊 Awesome show 😊😊😊❤
Thanks so much! it was actually painted by my Grandfather!

Beautiful pieces, I'm just started buying and selling jewelry. I was wondering how much to price the pieces? Can I reach you to talk?
I learned a lot from your videos. Thanks. What acids did you use to test the gold?
I think the xoxoxo bracelet was fro. Kay jewlers. It looks familiar from the 90s. Or 2000.
those smaller chains at the end are necklace extenders
Does bent pin, like broach back, belong in repairs/ missing?( my newest organization direction)
It was a great informative video
the ring at 21:16 into your video is a kensington ring from avon. I wanted this ring when i was a young girl but didnt have money to buy it. What amount will you sell this for
You need to buy a head mount for hands free camera recording.
The spring inside the spring ring is steel and will react to a magnet. The spring ring can still be sterling or gold.
how much for that lot they sent back to you?'
Is the jewelry box going to be listed?
What is the value of the emerald/diamond tennis bracelet?
The circular clasp on the gold necklace has a metal spring inside it, which is what is causing it to be picked up by the magnet. The clasp will be gold, if that is what it's marked.
This is a common mistake made by people, so you really need to test the clasp.
Rusty how much do you want for that lot.
A sm. pillbox will hold assorted earring backs, for pierced ears. Convenient!!
I had that Avon ring.
On what platform do you sell these?
eBay mostly
Can I ask what state you live in? The reason being the emerald stoned bracelet is identical to a bracelet I have been looking for? If you don't mind just a question
Do you still have Monet gold chain Necklace? I am interested 40:49

lets go!

You didn’t include the cost of the emeralds in the cost of the bracelet.
Paolo jewelry...worthy of more investigation and testing. Could be gemstone and gold
That's my weed scale!
That white was howlite.
🇺🇲🇵🇷🇲🇽😎 You need to take the stones out of that ring to get the proper weight of gold
Why not use the magnet?
Boy those Waltham can go for thousands!
Donated the uwanted stuff!
Some Avon custom metal has real pearls. So make sure you know how to test pearls.
Chrome diopside bracelet
