Yes this jeweler is a font of knowledge, so appreciated. But the real stars of the gem pieces are the relatives who acquired these pieces. Oh my what taste and fortuitous purchases. Try finding such gems today, nearly impossible. Thx so much for bringing them to light.
Amazing pieces of jewellery. Thank you.
Lovely looking lady with the snowflake brooch, so very English!
This man is so good with jewellery 👍
It's his job though...😊
But he did simpify the fourth item(s).
That was a demi parure.
A complete one would consist of earrings, necklace, bracelet(s), ring(s), brooch(es), and likely a tiara...
Barbara Hutton style.
What a brilliant story teller You dont realise that you are learnig I get excited when he is on
I find it interesting that so many Brits date things according to Monarch reign - I'm going to start doing it with American Presidents and see how well it works... "This piece dates back to James K. Polk!" :)
8K for the first emerald necklace? Bro, you're under by half. HALF. ❤️🤙
On today’s market, they would be a much higher valuation. This is an old series.
Would be nice to get some new content instead of the same clips in different collections again and again.
Dude. It's a show on PBS. Go watch PBS. See how complicated that was? That last part was rhetorical btw.
People like repeats. It is traditional like TV.
The guy is a jewellery encyclopaedia
If i have those, id rather keep it than selling it. Give it to my nephew and niece...
My favourite man on the roadshow!
well done, thank you
I would accept his opinion in court as factual since all others have died and he has dedicated his life to research out of love of his work, not fame nor fortune.
I don’t think they have a lot of footage as videos were very limited. I always look forward to the full hour listing but they always sneak in old footage. As good as this show is youed think they would have more the ratings had to be great just bad marketing probably
13:54 😃😃❤❤
I think the jewelry is wholly under valued by the show.
This is an older clip, so values are probably higher in 2024.
It's maybe a Chinese rose ....a Peonie
back when £1000 was a substantial amount of money
Prices are so cheap!
He low balled her on the broach
Der Typ hat keine Ahnung von Marktpreisen....
Seems like, show of devalue the antiques. what a pity.
they are very low always on jewellery prices ! = ive watched for over 20 years = under valued = i bet they tried to buy cheap under priced from owners ! = very sneaky .
You have to bear in mind that the videos were filmed between 2000 and 2009. The valuations bear no relation to the price they would receive today.
That would be highly unethical. They talk about that occasionally.
