I hate oats, so what I do is first put the dry contents in a blender and blend it into a powder. Then I follow the directions on the package. It's easier to digest and taste better. Try it and let me know what you think.
Genius
I don't have a blender I love oats they are one of the healthiest cheapest foods you can find
I mix vegan protein powder into mine
That's what I thought too when she said it "feels like your drinking puke"......
I tried them. Had a few flavors so far and they’re pretty tasty. I leave them in the fridge extra long so they get a little thicker. I do drink them - usually for a quick, healthy lunch. The price is high, but you’re basically getting oats plus protein powder in one. They are sweet, so no need for added sweetener.
@@azrax1451 you can consume either way, Jeanne likes them thick and there’s nothing wrong with that
@@azrax1451 It’s stated on the website it’s more of an oatmeal shake but you can customize it however you’d like to ingest them lol microwave it, thicken it, drink it immediately after mixing, etc
Ever try putting it in freezer??
Agree!
I want to try these but don’t want it as thick.. after setting it overnight do you think blending it in a blender could help?
If it was closer to about $2 a serving, then I would be all over it but the expensive cost outweighs the convenience for me.
120 a month for oats dumbd
There's no such thing as a two dollar super food. That's what you get Twinkies with buddy
@@_J0N_TAFFER I disagree. The oats I normally eat for breakfast cost less than $1 a serving. I just don’t always want to take time to prepare them. As I stated previously, I could understand paying a dollar more per serving for convenience but that’s all you’re paying for. They are just fortunate they have a good marketing campaign that hooks people like you in.
@@MississipVol I was actually told about it from a coworker 🤣 who let me try some before I bought it and it's got alot of expensive ingredients in it that are super foods three dollars not that bad it can last you almost a month if you have one every morning
@@_J0N_TAFFER it only has chia seeds added but I get a whole bag of those for less than $10 from my health food store. If you want to spend $3 on an overpriced breakfast, I am totally fine with that. Just don’t go suggesting that we have to spend that much to be healthy, or otherwise eat twinkies. I make hot oatmeal several times a week with protein, powder, chia seeds, and almond milk. It costs a third the price of this stuff. The convenience would be great and I am sure the flavors are fun but it’s not worth 3X the price to me.
Protein powder, oats, whatever frozen fruit or puree you like, peanut butter (depending on flavors you're using), seeds in a regular food prep container. You end up with a better macro profile, cheaper product and no runny product. I'd consider trying these, but the fact that you have to buy a massive box of them (can't purchase individual packets) and need a subscription for a somewhat decent price is a turn off.
"I don't think you're supposed to drink it." -- as you eat it with a spoon out of the provided shaker bottle. Classic.
unreal. of course you drink it. people scare me.
This video needs to be taken down lol. The whole point is Oats that you drink on the go. you are NOT supposed to warm them and you are NOT supposed to use a spoon. Take this shit video down.
It also says to pour milk first
But how can you do a review and not prepare as directed?
Exactly. This review is completely useless. Not a single step was followed properly. Of course you're not going to get a good result. Terrible.
The things you’d have to buy to make this are up there… you got oatmeal, 2/3 different types of seed, protein, pink salt, if you want a crazy flavor like the blueberry cobbler then blueberries and then a sugar and if you want better sugar for you it’ll be more expensive… it’s probably not all that cheaper to make yourself
Blueberry cobbler is crazy? Yikes
I have just tried two flavors and these are Great. I added more milk to the next line above the 8 oz mark and you are able to drink with no problem.
I personally love it! It’s quick to make and all I do is take it out of the fridge in the morning and drink it on the go. I’m a fan of most of the flavors.
Idk a lot of ppl are complaining about price and I used to be one of them …but if you’re like me who can order one meal from Uber or DoorDash n that equals to 25/30$ this is affordable I do the 16 packs a month plus one surprise pac that’s not shown on the menu for 50$ a month. That’s breakfast for three business weeks that’s how plan to use it. Orr four business weeks with about one cheat day a week. The flavors are great n I love the texture when it’s cold. I do not like to meal prep lol so this is very easy for me. Very convenient for me a teacher n mom of one 5 year old boy
Love oats overnight all the flavors are great, only flavor I dislike so far is the blueberry cobbler it tastes like medicine to me and I'm not a big fan of pea protein but the rest are awesome peach upside-down is the best
My friend gave me a couple packets and just told me to add some almond milk and put it in the fridge. I didn’t research additionally or read the packet. I gagged the first one down and then couldn’t eat the second due to the sliminess. I then saw a commercial on Facebook “Look af this weirdo drinking her oatmeal “ and I was like 🤯. I might try again. My friend lost a lot of weight using it.
Nice
So oats themselves are super cheap, so at home if you were doing just regular over night oats there would be a price cut, how ever, when you consider the price of the protein you are adding to get the macros you want, that is typically at least 1$/20-25g there (on the low end), and add the cost of fresh or frozen fruit. So price wise that could be reasonable depending on how fancy you would get too!
Also they do advertise it with people drinking it, so that’s interesting! Thanks for the review tho!!
Sara Wegener I wouldn’t say it’s super drinkable, but in a pinch you can totally drink it. Thank you for the insight on the pricing!!!
It’s not reasonable at all. I make the same exact thing with protein, chia seeds, and more and it’s less than half the cost.
I currently make my own at home. I had fudge brownie this morning! BUT I literally just ordered oats overnight yesterday simply for convenience. I work in a nursing home and often work over. So if I forget to make my oats I can just grab a pack and make it at work and leave it in our fridge until I take a lunch.
Is your recipe drinkable? Do u mind sharing? Sorry I know this was a long time ago 😅
@@hannahhernandez3962 I just do 8 ounces of milk, a cup of overnight oats, and then whatever flavors I want. Lol but yea it’s drinkable
Do you blend it or ?
Can I assume your fudge brownie is not a healthy alternative?
How do you make fudge brownie oats at home that’s interesting
I was looking at this brand for a quick on-the-go option in the morning, but after the “feels like drinking puke” comment I could never 😂😂😂
Slimy comes from chia seeds. If you're going to do a review, why not at least do it right? Follow the company directions. This was so frustrating to watch.
I agree... Like they literally give you step-by-step instructions. If they say use 8oz, and give you a cup to measure it. Do it. Shake the bottle. And leave it OVERNIGHT 🙄🙄 “4 hour is good enough”...no, no it’s not.
Woah someone got offended
@@SofaKingwetodded93 I mean she did it wrong bruh🤦🏼🤣
I guess we are not perfect. Good try though.
@@SofaKingwetodded93Yea, you're definitely offended 🤣
Im a truck driver and just ordered hopefully they are good looking to eat healthier over the road.
Fellow trucker here, I was thinking about buying it. How did you like it? I’m looking for healthier options.
I never subscribe to a random channel but this time i did, you seem wholesome keep it up ;)
Thank You!
How did you mess up the instructions. Add liquid and oats.
I think the kit would make a nice gift to turn a friend onto the idea. But I'd hope also it would become apparent to the recipient that they can purchase a large container of oats from the grocery store for a fraction of the cost. With that said, I had only recently overheard the term "overnight oats" and was interested in other ways to prepare oatmeal. Up until now I've been pouring boiling water into a cup of oats and letting it sit for a few minutes. This method sound more efficient and maybe even healthier. So thank you for the video :)
This is perfect for me, who’s on travel alot to hotels and has no time to make breakfast
I do really like it. I prefer it cold but that's most things I eat. Not really a warm liquid person. I do drink it. If you add a little.more milk then recommended then the drinkability goes up without watering down the flavor. I haven't tried it in the micro yet but might in the future
I drink it . Its faster . I hate oatmeal anyway . But my doctor said i needed oats in my diet. I buy the creamsicle one its easy and right after i drink mine i rinse and wash out my mix cup and reload it and stick it in the fridge
I've tried it and love the flavors. i usually drink it first think waking up before hitting the gym 90 mins later. so far i feel great since taking it. i do drink it from the shaker. at first the texture was a bit weird but i got used to it. it is a touch expensive but given the convenience, variety of flavor and amount of protein youre getting, i say its worth it if it fits your budget
Haven't tried it yet. My first order is on the way. One thing that appealed to me versus making my own overnight oats in a Mason jar which I've done before, is the added protein. 20g from the packet alone, plus another 13g from the Fairlife milk I'll use is great for me.
You can always add some protein powder -- someone like PEScience makes a lot of great flavors. www.pescience.com/discount/brad
The protein that it has its just whey protein wich you can buy yourself for far cheaper.
@@Fire-in-the-skyMost protein is like 30$ you can get 16 packs for 40$ protein + oats w flavor
I like to make my own just cuz it’s cheaper for me but thank you! Always wondered how it tasted :)
Sam Calderon very good flavor but yes cheaper to make your own!
I make it at home its thicker and flavored how i want. Today ate one with cocoa, coconut and pb
I’ll check these out. I’ve made them myself but haven’t been a massive fan. The flavors sound good though.
Danielle Clark I’ve liked them so far! Blueberry has been my fav because it actually has blueberries!
“It feels like you’re drinking puke…” 🤣😂. I’m sure they love that review.. haha. Thanks for reviewing, I’m prolly gonna give it a try..
Just add a little milk in the morning and make it thinner and you can drink it
its not just the convenience your paying for its the healthiness of it to. Their oats are farmed out of Canada and are certified organic which means no herbicides like glyphosate. Plus oats overnight tests there oats for containments
So we can consume oats overnight without having to worry about phytic acid? That’s the one thing I’m worried about.
I love all the flavors so far. I hadn't thought about heating them up, I'm going to try that next serving. I always just drink them, and don't mind the texture at all.
🙌🏼☺️
if you buy oats in bulk and meal prep like .50c a serving. these can stay in the fridge for over a week
:O the ad for the oats does advertise them to be able to be drinkable so might be good to watch more of the vids to figure out how theyre supposed to be :)
It’s designed to drink out of the shaker bottle. You made it sound bad but depending on flavors will determine if you like it or not. Choc Peanut Butter is my go-to.
The chocolate peanut butter is the first one I tried this morning and it was super good !! My Mother just bought me a sample pack, good stuff
I actually don’t think it is designed to drink. The commercial I saw for it made the cookie dough flavor look like they were supposed to be eating “cookie dough” with a spoon. I think she added too much milk and/or didn’t let it sit long enough
@@user-hg1wc3tu1iit Literally is designed to drink it COMES WITH A SHAKER BOTTLE TO DRINK OUT OF. in that commercial they were showing Actual cookie dough being eaten with a spoon bc it’s a commercial-they then say they don’t feel good because(bc duh bowl of cookie dough) It is just dramatization to emphasize and convince people that their product tastes like eating cookie dough but Is healthy. When they show their actual product in that commercial they are drinking it. Not sure how you could miss that they intend for it to be drinkable they literally call it drinkable oats over and over
@@user-hg1wc3tu1i like that was actual cookie dough not their product, Their product was being shipped from a shaker bottle,I’m still bewildered at your confusion on this.
@@jamesmansfield9276 chill the fuck out…I mean holy shit. Some people DO eat it with a spoon depending on how they make it.
Are you ok? You must wake up mad. Protein powder comes with a shaker bottle too sometimes. You’re saying no one mixes protein powder with anything like yogurt/oatmeal/cottage cheese?
I'm interested in oats bc I'm trying to get more protein in as a vegetarian without the meat substitutes. I'm just so picky with oatmeal, I need it to be more on the dry side so I don't think I can stomach the texture 😮💨 might just have to experiment at home first
That's my issue the texture!
I just ordered to try and then cancel. I got 16 packs with the tumbler thing. it has an 8oz label on it but seems like it should hold MORE. Maybe for second try tomorrow ill add more stuff. I had banana bread and the smell.......SO GOOD....the taste was meh. not bad but I tried it cold.
“Doesn’t have too much of the sliminess” doesn’t really make me want to eat it. 😂
I’m so glad you made the portlandia reference lol
I just received my box today and I’m excited to try it. All the flavors they sent were spot on to what I like.
Perfect! Hope you like them
I just put it together, shake it, and then drink it. Easy. I don’t think it’s meant to be warmed, that defeats the whole convenience factor lol. I’m sure if left overnight it’s a little better but I have no complaints drinking right after I pour and mix it.
I ordered my first batch yesterday after seeing it all over Facebook. I’m excited to try it
So are there whole oats in there or are they ground up?
My husband eats them almost every day! He loveeeees them! He also drinks his.. maybe that’s weird after watching this video 😂
120 a month for oats?
I love them!!! taste great both hot and cold. Banana bread is my favorite.
😊🙌🏼
When I’m on the go heading to work or school, I keep it in the cup and drink in during my commute. It’s easier than using a spoon while driving.
amoody87 I drank it last night and it was so handy!
Yeah thats how I would envision doing it if I couldn't just guzzle it
As a blue collar these are amazing early in the morning pricing isn’t that bad either
Judging by the video I’d probably make than heat it up. Then put it back in the shaker and eat/drink it on the go in the morning since I got to be at work at 630 am
Claro que yo si
Thanks for the review! I definitely have to check it out, convenience is invaluable!
They sent the FREE product to the wrong person to review. What a train wreck to watch.
Bummer!
For real. Sponsored. This review is horrible
This review has only confirmed my decision to NOT try.
@@BromlowFamily Right, this review has only confirmed my decision to NOT try.
@@nikkihernandez6935 then don’t try it…
Measuring the liquid is kinda important to be able to give a fair review.
True
I was an extra on Portlandia once, it’s such a great show, especially if you live here then you really get the jokes!!
i dont like that u cant get one package cuz they give u 8 packages and i dont even know if im gonna like it
You right!
I love the mint chocolate flavor and I can't replicate it at home. I wish it was cheaper.
Mine never come out tasting good! I may just have to try this!!
Add butter, totally brings out the flavor
I agree definitely not worth the price. I would rather meal prep them. Also, I have never had runny overnight oats like that 😬 Mine are always thick and creamy.
Ashley Boyette I prefer it runny!
Can you blend it instead?
They absolutely expect you to drink it. That's how they advertise it in every single ad lol that's why it comes with a shaker. They say it's possible to mix it in a bowl and heated in the microwave as long as you use half the required milk
Is it not like regular oatmeal?
So are you supposed to drink it? I’m confused
I just ordered the Overnight Oats (8 pack), with the mason jars. Whether it's good or not I have to eat it so...🤞🏼 🤞🏼
I'm in the same boat... just made my first drink tonight lol
I just ordered it too so we’ll see 😂😂🤞🏻
Update... Mocha and Maple pancakes were the best 👍
@@OMFGitsLUCAS worth it ??
@@zonadro it's good, if you like oats/oatmeal, it's for u
Just ordered some.. thinking about freezing it and putting it through Ninja Creami to eat it that way…
I came to the ad & looked around because it was all about eating "ice cream" for breakfast. They show them scooping what looks like ice cream with an ice cream scoop. Everything within the company page is about drinking it, except for a memtion of eating hot or cold with a spoon if you want. I want ice cream! Where is that? Do I just put it in the freezer to feel like I got ice cream? Or is it a cold mush?
lol I also saw the same thing on FB. I was about to order until I seen these reviews. $40 on Amazon for some damn frozen oatmeal. I also was just hungry for breakfast ice cream😩
It doesn’t even show directions for freezing. I too wanted the ice cream!
Thanks for this review. I was considering it since it's marketed as a quick breakfast drink for on the go...but if that's the least pleasant way to consume, it's a no from me.
Good call!
I know people might say there overpriced but go ahead and make the flavors they have out now, oats over night is actually really good
Honestly they are not that pricey I usually get the 24 meals for like 70 bucks, it could get expensive if these were the only thing I eat, but as it is its almost a month worth of meal for less than a hundred bucks
Did you sign up for the subscription on your first order? And if you choose to add more liquid does that impact the consistency enough to drink? Looking for a meal on the go that doesn't require a spoon.
If it's too thick, then just add more milk.
The directions say add milk first.... the oatmeal packet in there first will throw off your milk measurements.
expensive if shipping international...
Are they peanut free?
Buy any flavor whey protein that's around $0.7 per serving. Oat is cheap too. You can make it $1 per meal. Revolution fitness has great tasting protein for cheap. Specially crispy marshmallow and peanut butter flavor.
This has got to be one of the worst reviews. You didn’t pour the milk first, didn’t pour to the line and definitely didn’t let it sit over night💀
Right, this review has only confirmed my decision to NOT try.
I could see taking these on vacation for an easy breakfast option with a decent amount of protein. Usually you end up eating out for lunch and dinner so it would be a nice, lighter breakfast that would give you enough energy for morning activities without being overly filling. If you mixed it with Silk unsweetened soy milk that would add another 7 grams protein.
You’re supposed to use the shaker to warm it up in the microwave (without the lid on). That way you don’t dirty another dish.
Good to know!
To me it looked runny and if you add the whole 8 oz of milk wouldn’t it be like chunky soup?? I don’t think I could handle the texture of drinking it… I’d definitely have to use a spoon… but really, I think just making a large batch at once and filling up a weeks worth of jars then add your toppings in the morning would be easier and cheaper… who would want to spend that much money a month for the convenience factor? That would be a ton of money for something that you could make in advance for way less money and still
have the convenience of not spending a whole lot of time… 🤷🏽♀️
Just make your own they’re so much cheaper and you can make whatever flavors you want
I tried it the peach was okay but the others I have tried so far taste very artificial just not that great to me
Y’all swole 💪🏽😂
Ryze overnight oats it's amazing not sure about this brand, and with ryze it's only 8oz of water with 1 pack the vanilla cinnamon is amazing and drink it right out of my shaker
For everyone saying “Oh she didn’t follow the instructions” TECHNICALLY you add the milk then the oats and then you leave it in the fridge for a minimum of 4-5 hours. What part of that did she screwed up on?
You can buy a whole dozen eggs for cheaper than one serving of this and way more nutrient dense.
I don't love it doing down, but I feel full with something healthy.
I love them!!!!
First time on your channel, but I can't leave after Cacao.
Welcome aboard!
I so want to try this but I’d have to have mine warm I can’t eat it cold
Good stuff first video oh and btw holy s$&t your beautiful nice bonus 😍
Glad you liked it!!
I feel like this company would do better if they sent a free trial before you commit to a subscription. I value your review but would still want to try it myself before committing to the product. Also, if you don't do the subscription, you pay much more.
I'm confused. They advertise as "spoon free" but youre saying to use a spoon?
🤣🤣🤣 “It feels like your drinking puke”
What if you just bought oats at the store and did the exact same thing
I like them. It's good
Cacao😢 my wife's favorite quote
$4.00 a pack? People are so gullible! 😮. Literally just buy a huge container of steal cut oats, whatever you want to add, and boom, less than a dollar per serving. If that’s too much “effort”, you deserve to be ripped off. 🤷♂️
Thanks. Saved me an expensive purchase
In my opinion - the blueberry is the worst one. The banana bread is delicious
I make protein overnight oats and part of the allure is how cheap it is!! And I like trying out new recipes with different nuts and spices. I just stick it in a mason jar, heat it up in the morning, and eat it on my way to the hospital
freeandbreezy oooo so you heat yours!
6:38 We're just gonna graze over the 10 out of 10 entrance from Gabby?
They do say put the milk in first.
Glad I stumbled onto your review before I bought these. That’s $$$ I’ll be keeping in my pocket!
I wouldnt purchase this because it's way to expensive but I loved your review.
I guess it's good if you dont wanna buy different tubs of protein
Laura Vanessa Mewha yes very expensive!
