I love watching these shows. Anyone else? 😊
GOT ME THROUGH LOCK DOWN!!
Ye man😊
It's incredible what a person can live thru
Yes I watch them alot
Makes 2 of us
They need to give some of these actors Oscars for portraying pain. This guy was 100 believable.
Right?? The dog too... But all the actors in this series are exceptionally good!
that's what i thought! as i've watched every episode i just feel the pain by their very superb acting ...they are amazing!
Yoooo for real....I always thought the same thing they do such an amazing job on theese reenactment shows
Emmy but yea
I particularly loved the scene where Matt and his little dog stayed close to both keep warm and keep each other company.
Little Dog deserves *all* the treats for sticking by her human and helping him out of this horrible situation. What a wonderful animal.
Mans best friend
*her human 😂 you mean owner. No dogs have her cow. Or her walrus.
My dog is my baby. I love him with all my heart. With me, too, in the worst time of my life, he was there, right by my side. He absolutely saved me.
love that !
I gotta have to give it to Matt for his very strong fighting spirit and his courage to keep himself alive…. Kudos to his awesome dog…
Definitely Kudos for the 🐶💞
Matt’s a jackwagon. End of story.
Anyone else notice him referring to dog as he, boy, girl etc
@symphonyerice4423 a lot of people do, including me. (And yes , we do know that it is incorrect as we should refer to animals as "it" . We still choose to refer to them as he/she). I do not refer to them as boy/girl though. I would rather use male/female instead.
@@cme7527 I was just wondering since I heard him call the dog a boy and a girl at different times?
This reenactment actor deserves an Oscar. I know it actually hurt rolling down those rocks.👀👀
He's a great actor. I swear I've seen him before.
Dogs are truly a gift from God .
Indeed 💜
No, dogs evolved from wolves. Nothing to do with an imaginary deity.
GOD is NOT IMAGINARY. HE IS REAL AND HE LOVES US!!!!
Too bad dogs can’t do anything except give perceived moral support. I mean they can’t even fetch you a pail of water in a Survival situation.
It is amazing how a dog covers any terrain with the greatest of ease!
They’re much stronger than humans pound for pound.
Matt you are some kind of badass. I think most of us would have given up and gone to greet our ancestors. Double props for not eating your dog. He's a good boi !
And what about those hunters, trecking out of their vacation on a 13 hr trip to get rescue for an injured fellow man and stranger. Props to you all, you are an inspiration and good people. Doggo is good people too. 🥰
Yes, I saw that one. Made me sick. Never watch it again.
So glad that didn't happen here. I saw that episode too and its damaged me.
That episode was horrible n he threw it up...y eat ur freaking companion when you could even keep down that other fruit o whatever it was HORRIBLE
Love the pic of them at the end:)
@@Pitoling186 that was the only episode where I almost hoped the man died. That really upset me, can't watch it again, ever. 😮😢
Pretty cool how the dog wanted to go the worst looking way but was the right way animals are so so smart
I got stuck off-trail, on a mountain, no flashlight, no tent, no moon, and spent the night in the rain with my dog. That night was a bummer, however the dog made the difference between being absolutely miserable and maybe deadly to one, long, sucky night.
Don’t you just love how jovial Matt is when telling his story?
I thought exactly the same lol
I noticed that too!
This man showed incredible strength and courage. What an amazing dog. When I would take a wild country trip, I always had someone drop me off. That way someone knew where they dropped me, and would have my itinerary, and could sound the alarm when I wasn't there at pick up time. I always figured if something happened to me before my pick up date, I had to survive till the pick up date, plus 7 days afterwards, in case they had trouble locating me. I had to be mentally prepared for that. I'm so glad they both made it out of that hellish ordeal. The human drive to survive is amazing.
Geez, I felt every move. Oscar for the actor.
Thank you so much for uploading these videos. It's my favourite series.
Mine too!
Mountains...A fall...Broken bones and bleeding out...An agonising crawl...Freezing cold...Here we go again...A new star is born.
Who else is excited new episode I'm like scrolling daily to find new episodes I get more excited knowing it was in NZ being from NZ it's amazing how will power makes a person to survive you are a strong men matt
its not a new episode seen it many times in the past 3 years 👍
Yes I've seen it before too but it's a heartwarming film & very well done. I love I shouldn't be alive its so well produced etc...
@@milford8485 same just wish they would do another series
@@seagulls566 so do I!

I ran out of water on top of Diorite peak in La Plata Canyon in Colorado.. I was only a matter of 4 miles or so from my camp so I was only slighly uncomfortable. When I began my descent however, I got lost.. And it got dark. All I basically had was a pistol, a metal detector in my pack and a phone with no service whatsoever.
After an hour or two of crawling downhill through dense brush at night in a bear infested canyon with cliffs and drops, you get a little taste of what nature truly is. Nature is brutal. Getting thirsty is a scary thing. And the emotions you go through while lost in the wilderness are overwhelming.
My little experience in itself caused me to be obsessive about carrying water.. Everywhere I go..
wow. How did you manage to get lost? Weren't you following a trail. I've been walking in the hills for years, but there's no bears or similar potentially dangerous animals where I walk. Still, terrain can be hard enough to deal with. I've always been conscious of my footing. It just becomes a habit. I'm surprised an experienced guy like in this episode managed to have such an accident. You've always got to respect nature and know that you're not the master of it. It seems like nature taught this fellow a lesson.
@@lemon_j22 there was no trail. But I figured I could just find my way back no matter what, which I did eventually, but luckily it wasn't an absolute wilderness.
Nature is humbling. Respect it or else..
The stories about the Northwest Territories in Canada are pretty terrifying. Lots of weird stuff can happen out where there's no other humans to witness it..
@@omnamahshivaya6299 I can totally understand figuring that you'd just find your way back. You sound like me in that regard. I always seem to know where I'm at, like I have some in-built compass and a very good sense of direction. However it's best to not push it too far, I have to remember that as I often go off trail and follow my own path. If I was in a more remote area like somewhere in Canada or America, then I'd definitely be very aware. Even here in the UK it's possible to get caught out if you don't stay aware. People get rescued all the time here, even when they're not far from towns and relative civilisation.
Dude this show was my childhood i used to love watching these with my mother
Literally crying at this! What a trooper matt is .little dog deserves so much love and treats for this ,dogs are amazing!❤
What a miracle that he survived that long fall! God is good!
My heart went out to you Matt for each move you made. I can’t even imagine the pain. You survived and your faithful companion beside along with you. I’m so sorry that you had to go through such a horrible trip that should’ve been relaxing. God never left you. 😊❤
Me too I have been screaming with him every time he moves
Matt Briggs is such a courageous and strong man, I'm sure his family are very proud of him. So happy that Matt and little dog survived 💙
Lord this reenactment actor is good you can't help but ouch with him
"And 6 months later Matt was back in the mountains, doing the same dumb shit because people on this show never learn from their ordeals..." 🤣🤣
Agreed, he could have took his dog to the park , and Been at the bar by sundown 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Let's at least hope he learned to look where he was walking. 😅
😂😂😂
@@lulabelle4527Hopefully he bought better shoes at least lol
These actors in this show are absolutely incredible. Idk where they find these guys or the terrain. But props to 'I Shouldn't be Alive" absolutely astonishing, every single episode. 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
As long as the dogs ok it's all good.
Forget the man as well though? 😂 I can't talk too much, I have a soft spot for animals, especially Dogs. But jeez, this poor guy went through loads of pain, fear, and can talk about ot with a smile ❤ I bet that dog made ALL the difference as far as keeping him sane (plus warm) etc
Came to the comments for reassurance before watching 😂 thanks!
Matt, hunny, you are a super hero, and LD is a super pup! I'm glad you are back in the mountains and there for your daughter, she definitely has someone to look up to and be very proud of. She'll learn strength, resilience, hope and endurance from you! Much love Matt, keep trecking❣️
us new Zealanders would call him mad pom because he wants to muck around with mount cook, theres no trails up there because its dangerous ffs
Oh this was a hard watch for someone with a weak stomach 😮 Well done Matt, your fighting spirit is truly incredible ❤
Wow. This guy is amazing. I have broken my wrist and cannot imagine dealing with that plus a broken ankle on top of a rocky ridge. Horrible situation. Drive of his human spirit is absolutely incredible.
The moral of this story is always tell someone where you are going so that if you are missed rescue might be possible, glad you made it Matt and your pooch
He probably didn’t have any friends to tell
Well, he did leave a message with all of the data needed to track him down.
All these videos show me 2 things:
1. I'll never go hiking on my own.
2. I'll only go hiking on paths that are regularly used by others.
Well, I wouldn't get into a situation like him, because my lazy ass wouldn't go hiking for more than a couple of hours.
But better be safe than sorry...
Funny yet enlightening comment. Your last remark better to be safe than sorry I agree to some extent but like alot of hikers me included we do this kind of thing to feel alive & invigorated. Not going to get that kind of satisfaction walking along a path or marked trail the hell with that lol
Matt is amazing!
His will to live is soo strong! And Little Dog is the most loyal dog ever!
What a superhero!! I don't often shed a tear at these shows, but my goodness!! The human will to live is so inspiring!! I hope Matt, LD and daughter enjoyed many happy days together.
Please make more of these videos they’re so good and entertaining!!
The actors in this series are really superb. They had someone great working in casting.
This man is literally a warrior most of us would’ve failed to survive this fall let alone fighting death with broken hand and ankle no food nothing but just by himself and his alittle cute dog
I want to know what happened when he got back to the shop and was face to face with the people who ignored the panic date
You’re a very strong fighter and brave matt breggs! and I salute you! very touching and i like this episode too ❤
Strong is not the words for this dude, just unbelievable what he went through, incredible…
Omgoodness, I smiled along with you. What a blessing to see hope spring up from that cabin. Sure was hard to watch this. 😢😮
Another really wonderful story . What great acting , the pain noises alone were brutal ; imagine feeling that intense fracture pain . I just wish the actor would’ve called the dog a girl not a boy . Bless them both and the great rescue hunters and team . Go the Poms Kiwis and Aussies 🇦🇺🦘🇳🇿🇬🇧 the hunter sounded Aussie . Yes I agree the Little dog deserves treats 3 times a day . She nearly starved on the trip also
That BEAUTIFUL PRECIOUS PUPP SAVED his LIFE! Without his warmth and company, don't think he could of survived! Those pupps ARE God sent and are TRUE ANGELS that SAVE ppls lives! ❤🐾❤
My favorite part is how he doesn’t eat his dog like that piece of crap in another episode, an episode that should be scrubbed from existence btw. Glad I read the comments first or I could have watched it!
Same here... I saw a comment and thought ," Nah, buggar that "
If you're into this type of thing, why wouldn't you carry one of those emergency GPS deals ?? Just in case
He had one, he forgot it.
@@nicolab2075 oops
It should be the 1st thing you pack.
An absolutely amazing story of survival and determination. What was the deal with his employees though? Even if they didn't read his note, he was several days past due...I mean, sheesh. The actors in these reenactments are just amazing.
YAY FULL EPISODE THX YOUU! always a good day!
I was just as worried about little dog as I was Matt. Glad little dog stayed loyal and helped him thru
Incredible. The will to survive was strong in in this man. Sir you are one tough cookie. So glad you made it. 🌹👍🏽💯👊🏽
This was a great episode! Congrats Matt on making it out Matt :)
Keep em coming, friends! Love these shows ❤
Thank you for the episodes !!!
Damn! He fell quite a ways..... how is this man still alive?
Amazing episode. Love this series.
I think I’d fire those people at the shop who didn’t read his note
What a lucky guy. Lil dog and him should feast on steak and lobster and lots of doggy treats. God bless our four legged companions
What most people don't realize, if you go on these hikes by yourself and you have a pet with you watch what your pet is doing. He probably could have went a better direction by watching his pet. They are not stupid. I think he put himself in more pain than necessary. First of all no one should go by themselves anyway. Hasn't anyone learned this about that after knowing what happens when you do go by yourself? Pets have a sense of direction to help you in times of need. Also if you're going to do these things by yourself always say you're going to be back sooner than your going to be.
Exactly and that dog knew he was injured too
If you say you're going to be back sooner than you're going to be, then someone might get concerned and send a rescue team when you don't need one. Like what?
Matt is a true survior long live bro
10:25 the dog is looking at him thinking you idiot😂😂
Courageous man and his little dog. Amazing survival. Bless them both.
Thank you for sharing your miraculous journey.
You GO Matt and Little Dog 🐶 What warriors!!!! I know ALL about that kind of pain, what a hero! ❤
Little dog is such a good boi !!
Kudos to Matt for surviving such an ordeal! Kudos to the actor for playing his part!💞✌️
I love LD! What a loyal companion
Courageous people like you are‼️ This is why I wouldn't venture alone cuz one fall and it's a whole new ball game🤦🏻♀️but...I get that it would be AWESOME♥️✌️
Dogs are the best 🐶
Man’s best friend! 🐶
I felt Matt’s pain every time he falls I screamed with him like it was me
A new meaning of the word pain
Great channel. Greetings from Germany... Awesome episode.
One thing I've noticed. Matt calls the actual little dog a girl but the actor calls it a boy..
My hero the dog always.
Im confused how this is considered well prepared. The worst thing is to lose water imagine that and work backwards from there. Wet foods for you and the dog. Painkillers. Saline solutions. Strap beacon to your body … call me paranoid 😂
I call you sensible
I think most humans are capable of extraordinary things when it comes to self preservation. I’m not in any way taking anything away from this man who is completely remarkable in his fight to stay alive, just saying humans are bad ass. Never underestimate yourself and your will to live.
At least he didn't go crazy and eat his dog like that one guy did...
I was just thinking about that story but I couldn't remember if it was covered on this show or if I saw it somewhere else. What were the details?
@@BohoAstronautlost in the Amazon, with his dog. He was near death. Had malaria. Killed and eat his dog in desperation before he was rescued...
@@Wildrover82I can't watch that one. I could never kill a dog to eat.
Just a few minutes in. His fall is horrifying Great show.
How the Fuck did this guy survive???? Jesus christ, I have a broken leg and can barely make it to the bathroom, meanwhile this man climbs down a mountain with a broken wrist and leg over 9 days...... Is he a super hero or something?
Im glad I didn't have to go through this to realize that I shouldn't be alive
Yes I love watching them as well
This experience Matt Briggs went through reminds me a bit of the story of "Pilgrims Progress".
I couldn’t even begin to imagine the pain when he put the salt in his leg.
Amazing!
What a remarkable man, he has a purpose in life...
Wow..i had to hold back tears when he seen that man 🙃😏gee👏👏👏
Props to this actor. Every movement he made I felt lol..I would've liked to have known the reason why no one saw the note he left. Even though he should've actually told someone..
Why anyone would go hiking a long distance alone is very baffling to me, and I have no idea how you would leave your beacon at home!! That’s the first thing that I would make sure that I have!!
First of all I agree with you about the beacon & that with water are the first things u pack. but he deserves credit for having the good sense to want to take one. No one ever does on these shows. As for you being baffled to why people hike alone which I do there are several reasons why. To be alone & soul search is the obvious one but also hikers carnt always find someone to go with I know I carnt. Another reason is two people might disagree about decision making where to go & for how long & there might be conflict. So hopefully these reasons have left you less baffled lol lastly not a big deal hiking alone if you have the beacon anyway of course he made a mistake there by forgetting it unfortunately.
i broke my arm in half as a kid. had to wait 1 night til surgery. the bones rubbing against each other was the worst pain i've ever felt. couldn't imagine going through that for a week
LOL a fun day of relaxing hiking these mountains fun day huh 😁
How could you divorce this gentle soul.
Exactly what I was thinking!! Her loss unfortunately and their child.
I mean I really don’t blame her, he makes terrible, illogical decisions.
Maybe because he makes very serious stupid, selfish decisions and that makes him an irresponsible and unfit father and husband.
@@llddau Phew! What are you really angry at?!?
I love watching ISBA, this one missed the section of actual footage at the time of final rescue
I've seen these before, but watching again. This one is interesting. Not that the lost and floating at sea ones aren't well done, but I find the whole shark threat/oh no here come the stinging jellyfish drama a bit overdone and samey. Like you know they didn't get eaten by a shark, because they're talking on the camera. Watching this guy in this episode get himself out of his situation was genuinely engaging.
So afraid for the dog that will follow him anywhere
I thought the same
WOW!! It is amazing Matt's will to survive and live! Blessing to have his best friend, his dog, with him!! 🏞⛰🥾💪
Great episode!
Can you upload Season 6 Episode 5... Lost In The Jungle 😀
This is tense!
His ability to handle the pain is outstanding. I broke my tibia in 3 places the pain was appalling. It needed 3 months of hospital care and a lot of drugs.
True i shattered my tibia and fibula and was in a cast for a year with two oporations pins and screws and plate then bone graft, and the pain was horrendous i was screaming like a banshee god knows how he managed to move at all I could not move as my leg was halved for anything i would have died there,he had great strength to move under they circumstances.
@@annbow4064 I hear you. When I came out of surgery for the first time I have never experienced such pain. This is why I'm stunned at what people can do while injured.
Good dog. ❤🐶
