Gotta say, all the re enactments on the I Shouldnt Be Alive episodes are always fantastic and so realistic. Also great actors too! The series never disappoints!
Ken is probably the only person on this show that was prepared, yet he can't get to any of his supplies. That's got to be frustrating.🤠
Lol turns out you can prep for most things and still get shafted 😂
I guess it’s important to pack stuff that Can get you out of this exact scenario if you’re riding a quad. The amount of time they said this happens was alarming
Reminds me of situations where people go out prepared, and promptly lose their gear (down a river, into the ocean, etc.)
But if he had been wearing goggles, he wouldn’t have got grass in his eye?
The waiting rooms of every doctor & dentist have Reader’s Digests. They are the first thing I grab, and the only stories I read are the “Drama in Real Life” survival stories. I’ve been obsessed with survival stories since I read Alive in 1974 as an eighth grader. Always interesting and compelling. I love this series.
Yep. Think all these dramatizations are modelled after that.
Wow Ken, you are one tough and resilient sob! You are living proof that knowledge is power. So glad you are still able to dance with your grand babies ❤
He's living proof you can goto hell and back 15 times in one day and still survive and live a normal life. This dude is a savage, what man should be.
He tells the story how he wants you to hear it. He’s delusional.
Why say that?@@kieranhart5776
@darrellpeterson7776 Why wouldn't Ken go and look at a UA-cam video about himself to see what people are saying? Huh?
Unlike many of the folks in this series, this man didn´t make any questionable, dumb decisions, AND, was fully prepared going into his trip. He was just plain unlucky and caught a bad break, still, he was able to smartly save himself, well done!
Was just coming to post something like this. So true. Ken's a badass.
If he was smart he would have dug himself out....
@@jimbob465are you sure ?
same thing happened to me as a wildlife ranger on a remote island..I dug my way out...Those quads look light being all plastic and baloon tires, but man are they heavy..glad you can hold your little ones again
@darrellpeterson7776why
Great , you answered my why not dig yourself out question and I'm only a couple minutes into the show .
My favorite story of all ISBA s. This man is amazing.
Love the narrator for this series. He's perfect.
I put this on and survivorman director commentary's to fall asleep for that reason 🤣
Wow, just imagine.
You get in a horrible accident because you Wanted to get a blade of grass out of your eye.
It's insane how one single action is all it can take sometimes
I ran myself over with a quad doing the same thing getting something out of my eye distracted with that not paying attention meant to hit the brakes and hit the throttle clipped a tree my foot slipped off the quad and the back wheel grabbed my foot and basically just sucked me under the machine that shit sucked
I know not all the actors in the series are good, but this actor is probably one of the best on the whole series in my opinion, at least
I asked this question above but is this the guy who plays Steven Reid in coronation street when he was a bit younger?
@@sellbydate yes, he also briefly appears in the movie “Everest”
The growling is unbearable...can't stand listening to the growls
Ken is my hero. God bless you man, you're an amazing individual, you deserve many more dances with your granddaughters, be blessed, my God the almight guide to light...
God doesn't exist
@aidanbarnes4290 you cannot prove you exist , or the phone you're using to write your disgusting message is rectangular. But I can to your unenlightened small mind that God the almighty exists.
@@aidanbarnes4290oh yes he does kid
@@limyize if he's real why did he get Ken stuck like that in the first place the only thing I'm getting out of this is God is using the world as his model train set and enjoys torturing everyone

Revenge of the beaver 🦫
People with physical limitations are usually the most adaptive to bad situations.
Haven't seen this one before. I think this is my favorite episode yet.
What we learn here?...Never drive and take something out of your eye 👁🗨 at the same time.... STOP and solve the problem then you can go back to drive..... and USE bike googles to avoid eye contact with the dirt.
Would expect that his spectacles would give some protection for his eyes.
Amazing how he was found and survived that long, I'm just curious about the trek back from the quad to the truck after he was found.... that must not have been easy and is usually explained on these episodes, glad he lived!
I suspect the rescuer went back and got his truck after he'd made him as comfortable as possible and drove to the spot to get him.
Its almost like karma from nature Wow!
😢so glad he made it out,,,,what a testament to how strong the human spirit can be
I like how in the reenactment at 44:06 the guy asks Ken if he’s alright. “Oh yeah man I’m good, I’m just taking a nap on this dead beaver and I got cold so I threw this quad bike on me to warm up”
SO GLAD I wasn’t the only one annoyed at that 😂
Did ye say ??
Sorry but why do they need to kill beavers in the wild ? Doesn’t nature take care of that or have human beings killed their predators too ?
You were blessed! Thank you for sharing your miraculous journey!
He had me until "I decided to eat some of the raw beaver".. Dude you ate 12 hours ago and the story's impressive enough already😂😂. Salute to you sir but not buying the beaver snack lol.
You might be the most determined person I've ever heard of, you are the definition of resilient and now I have something and someone to look up to and aspire to be like! Bless you Sir, keep trecking 💙
I have yet to see all the episodes. By far, this one truly melted my heart. Strong 💪 intelligent man. Unbelievable willpower. 💜🙌
The others have me screaming like, "WTF, is wrong with yall'z. NOOooooo, stop it!" LOLOLOLO 🤦♀️🤷♀️🤣☠️
This exact same thing happened to me when I was 13, luckily I had people with me to pull the side by side off my leg, and ot tore all the muscle tendons and flesh around my shin bone 🥲 a yeah of physio and 8 surgery’s later along with a huge skin graft o still have my leg 11 years later ✨
this was the very first episode I ever watched, I haven't seen it since I was a child.
the first episode I remember seeing as a kid was when that family's boat crashed and the Dad's leg got stuck under the mast. It was depressing for me to watch cause I thought he was gonna die for sure, but in the end he got free and they all made it home
he trapped beavers just like he got trapped. except he was lucky to live . karma my g
Trapper got trapped.
Karma: the inhumane trapper gets trapped. Change your ways, now you should understand vulnerability beyond your control...
Beavers. Revenge. 😮😅
Man. Thank UA-cam for providing critical virtual educational resources!
Evolution at work
Trapping beavers then he gets trapped
Very interesting, that he is trapped like the animals in his traps.
Exactly right. I thought the same thing
Not really knowing in the first 3 minutes its mentioned about overpopulation which does effect nature if not kept in check
Im not even a hunter. Hell, I hate the idea of hunting and I'm aware it's a necessity
@@roonkolos all we need to do is stop fucking up the natural system. Return natural predators that we have wiped out and nature is just fine .
@@roonkolosthere’s overpopulation of humans also, doesn’t mean we should kill them, even though we probably do. Animals have just as much rights to be on this earth as humans, specially in nature
Perhaps I’m wrong. But it kind of sounds like you’re insinuating that this guy deserved what happened to him.
My Uncle Ken, visited him often when we lived there. Tough guy, still doing his thing out there!!
U lie bro
Dont know why the camera man couldn't have help.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's because it's a reenactment story 😂😂😂😂
Brav they just re acting the story in simply terms
Who would film it then 🤔
@@pauljordan1080that's the joke ♡
Ex medic and SAR guy. Once had a friend tell me to leave the med kit in the car. He proceeded to cut his foot open 6 miles into some serious terrain. Always be the gear guy
OMG Bless you. This is just so moving.
The beginning is like a final destination movie
Just my input about beavers LOL they are rodents, yes but they are helpful rodents LOL They also have monogamous partners and their children live with them, so when you trap one it's essentially taking a mother, father or baby from their family :( Also they are important to the environment, As far as animals are concerned.. The only people they annoy are humans LOL Their infrastructure creates wetlands used by many other species, and because of their effect on other organisms in the ecosystem, beavers are considered a keystone species. Adult males and females live in monogamous pairs with their offspring. After their first year, the young help their parents repair dams and lodges; older siblings may also help raise newly-born offspring. When you think of it in that manner, it's terribly sad to think of people trapping them.
Yeah and I’m surprised to hear him talk about needing to trap to control the beaver population. The Canadian wilderness has plenty of predators for beavers.
They even welcome passing animals into their den, and I believe may even make a little ledge for them.
They’ve just been reintroduced in England.
Can I'm a cervical 5/6 quadriplegic I don't need electric wheelchair I can still push. I understand what you're saying about the pain out as a child you learned to tune it out get it out of your head. Sometimes it hurts so bad and all you can do is pray and wait for it to pass. But it's funny how God will eventually give us that piece. And I bet you know as well as I do
❤❤❤
I often question the decision making of the people featured on this show. Not this guy, what a badass.
U mean taking his hands off the 4 wheeler while driving in those mountains to get something off his eyes, instead of stopping to do that? That was one of the dumbest things, if not the dumbest, seen on this show. All those survival strategies and precautions, only to miss the most basic rule: don’t take your hands off the steering rack while driving high speed on a 1000 pound machine
Same. Just watched the one of the guy who intentionally hiked through a blizzard and got lost, fell off a cliff. Then for some reason decided to light a fire in his tent after dumping fuel allover himself and lit himself on fire as well as destroying his tent and sleeping bag lol. Dude was a hazard to himself.
@bsrkoacar8414 😂 I mean, I felt sorry for that guy. But geez!
i PROMISE you have done the exact same thing dozens of time, most people just dont face the consequences of something bad actually happening @@a.t.lawofficepllc
@@a.t.lawofficepllcno you are dumb asf, it’s an accident, you can drive one handed
Trapped.. like a trapped beaver?
was thinking the same thing! lol :) :)
Was looking to see if anyone else mentioned the 'karma' factor. Wonder if he still set traps for animals.
What an incredible story
Gee, I didn’t know that trapping and quad bike riding could be so much fun.
Respect the actor that sounded like James Hetfield from Metallica when he yelled out. LOL! Seriously, glad the guy is ok.
I find the growling very very irritating, like a man trying to sound like a wild animal. It doesn't work.
Finally, mentio of "wind chill factor"😮

Karma for trapping animals.. got trapped himself
Wel Ken good luck for the future and is happy that you survived.
Imagine being trapped while under water while knowing what comes next. You hold your breath as long as you can and then expel your last breath only to now breathe water into your lungs which is one of the most painful ways to die. Such is the fate of the beavers that were trapped beneath the water under the guise that there are too many of them. That default explanation for trapping and killing animals is confusing considering how many people there are over populating the Earth and the number grows each day. So being trapped under a vehicle is pretty much nothing compared to the torture imposed on the residents that actually belong in the woods. But they are "Rodents" so I guess it doesn't matter.
Crazy how he got Colbert to play him
Crazy what grass in the eye will do
Wat a strong man
The beavers put out a hit for his life
GET A QUAD BAR ----YOU SEE THIS? LOOK INTO QUAD BARS!!! FLEXY QUAD BAR BABY!!
he still have his reading glasses on amazing after rolling so many times
reenactment genius.
😂😂💀
It could happen
They're made to never fall off but not so good at blocking things from going in your eyes...I think those are called goggles
I just got the parts of the coyotes in your seen how great thou art. I love when people mention God in these rescue videos because it seems like it always seems to work and help and they get rescued. I hope yours works out I'm not done watching buddy
You dig the dirt out from around and under your foot!
What a legend
It can get much, MUCH colder than -20 in the Canadian Rockies.
After the "eat raw beaver" crap, I tuned out and figured this guy's trying to get a book deal. Dude, you ate less than a day ago
This man is a skilled survivor.
This was one of the worst cases in ISBA episodes. Pinned, upside down! Terrible disaster. Hes really a strong man. I would have closed my eyes and waited for Jesus to come and get me😢
Was Roy, the rescuer, played by the yahoo whose catamaran crashed in Baja?
This man is a hero god damn
Wouldn’t really call him that but determined for sure
Trapper getting trapped, the irony.
😂😭 Happy for him though, the guy’s a survivor
Mr gadget didn’t pack a firearm😂
The beaver god said not today
😮😮 unbelievable 😮😮
Them their 4 wheelers ARE dangerous for sure.Have a Yam 350(2013 w/only 200 hours on it)and the handle bars can jerk really fast causing disaster.Buddy of mines' mother was killed on one.She couldn't make a sharp turn so veered somewhat straight and down a 60ft cliff.WV.....
What a guy
And someone tell this guy that "He never gets lost" and " He always knows where he is" is pretty much the same thing.
yeah but this is different he is stuck in one spot and can't move. If he was lost in the woods without the bike he could've used his survival skills to move around and make it back to civilization
So boring they cut away the most exciting part of the episode where the narrator says: Coyotes are known to eat every part of their meal, even the teeth.
Crazy!!!
Heck yeh he started singing how great thou art. Give God praise even in the times where u could get eaten alive by coyotes-♡
God not real
Not trying to be critical here BUT … as my 2nd time watching this I noticed this time that in all the flying through the air rolling down the hill and having the quad land on him …. His glasses are still on his face ? … I wear glasses and I know how nearly impossible that would be ?? … Just sayin 😉🇨🇦
4 wheelers are heavy but not 2000lbs heavy, bigger ones are still under 1000lbs hell my whole side by side is 1300lbs
That quad bike is heavy
Trapping is an awful way to go if you’re the animal trapped.
Sooo digging a hole around his legs never crossed his mind???
He forgot his dooooog! It wasn't in the caaaaaar
this one is almost too painful to watch!😩
not as painful as the one where that guy gets lost at sea for 76 days
When he had the axe intact, could he have used it to dig around where his legs were trapped, to either compllettely escape or relieve the pressure somewhat?
I'm sure there's a reason why he didn't or couldn't do that but can you imagine him reading through the comments here now and thinking... oh shit I could have just used the axe to dig out some earth around my legs...
This is the first one that didn’t really do anything wrong lol
Cougars attack me all the time, it's hard to fight them off, so I understand.
What? Mountain lions?
I've dumped a 4 wheeler on top of me once as a kid. I didn't get hurt, but those things are so hard to throw off or even move out from under it, even for a non-disabled person.
He didn't tell anyone his plans? No way...
No guy ever wants to eat some bad beaver 😂
Imagine taking an animal life for no reason and ending up in that situation 😂
Similar happened to me on mount norquay also in Alberta, except I was on a skidoo and thankfully was only stuck pinned for about 20 mins or so. I would also like to say I would have probably died in his situation so most definitely not a brag, I was lucky. I wasn’t pinned nearly as badly as him, and was still on a slope so managed to maneuver enough for it to roll over me. Seriously sucked, but better than being trapped and unable to reach my radio.
7:23 sounds like alcohol withdrawal as a medically trained person lol
Hildebrand is a Dutch patriciers name, sort of lower nobleman who serve the country in some way without being called for. The term was used from the 17/18th century. But during ww2 the Dutch prime minister was from the Hildebrand family.
I believe the founders of Vancouver where from the same order. They came from/van Coevorden, i always wonderd when it changed from van Coevorden to van Couver to Vancouver 😅
Would have been funny if vancouver was in the usa people could say: I'm a Yankee Vancouver or Jankees van Coevorden a perfect normal name in Dutch.
Wow......GOD IS GREAT
😆
😂😂😂 god gave Ken polio and left him stranded under his quad, maybe god doesn't deserve credit for what people have done.
Nope- cold, stuck, lost, abandoned, injured, lonely, shoot even just hungry and thirsty- these videos make me realize about myself that I would just go to sleep and be a goner😂
The temp was below zero but there are still green leaves on the trees????
Trapping is cruel….no matter the reason.
This was a favourite for me Bless Ken and his awesome rescuer 🦘🇦🇺
Look what happened to Ken Block, this kind of thing happens all to often even to people very prepared and people that have extreme talent and still when it’s your time the grim reaper comes.
