- In this video I explain why I made the switch to the Corsa sport catback versus the xtreme catback. As always, the video does no justice of the sound in person, but there is a substantial difference in volume comparing both catbacks. I hope you find this video helpful!

A lot of things dealers leave out as well they don’t tell u the difference between a extreme axle back to a sport axle back this video has great detail thank u 🙏 very much
I've slowly realized you've done every single mod I have done and am planning on doing with mine lol. I've got the Corsa sport with the double h-pipe, rear side led smoked deflectors, upgrade to quad tips with the gt350 rear valance, smoked Vland euros, etc. All I can say is you and I have the very same design language 😂

bought my 2016 GT recently with Corsa catback and the seller did not know which one exactly it is 🤭
I kinda assumed it's the Corsa Extreme (double x-pipe) but wanted to be sure so I contacted Corsa support and they said the only way to tell is by a sticker (which was no longer there even though the exhaust was on the car about a month and less then 1000km)
thanks to you I have confirmed now I have the extreme (sport muffers + x-pipe)
I have the stock cats, stock headers and for me it's already too loud
I love the burble at heavy traffic puddling speeds, and don't mind the car being loud at full throttle but at normal traffic driving when I use maybe 30% thorttle and rev maybe to 4k it's just too loud for the speed (or lack of) I am doing
to me the volume just doesn't match the speed, I am going the same speed as everyone else and the car is so loud I feel like an ass
so I am looking for a way to quiet it down....will probably keep the mufflers and get rid of the x-pipe and install some resonators and custom piping, probably vibrant bottle resonators, always liked vibrant sound profile, not in your face and raspy but still great more matured sound
any advice from anyone who was in a similar posisiton would be appreciated
I'm running kooks longtube headers corsa double helixx with borla atak,doesn't feel crazy loud..15 to 17 are much quieter the 18 to 21

If you wanted deeper and mature, BORLA is the way to go. I'm in the opposite position, I went with borla and I wanted that higher pitched exotic sound. The borla is zero drone as well. You can check out some of my clips I have of the borla if you're curious to what I'm saying. I'm going to be putting some more videos on here as soon as I can and try to really cover the exhaust
Really nice S550 did not realize you had this as well. I've always been a fan of more deeper sounding exhaust more so than the ear splitting screaming exhaust.
Unfortunately I don't have the car anymore as I bought the terminator. I recorded this video a few months back and forgot to upload it lol

I just started looking into mufflers for the s550 pp1 I don't officially own yet lol. Thanks for explaining the difference. Just so I'm clear as far as mufflers it's either touring or sport. Then what happens at the resonator would make the "corsa extreme" system? Example: I would buy the sport muffler and take it in to a muffler shop and have them cut out the resonator and weld in a h pipe but keep the cats. So technically that would be "corsa extreme" system minus the x pipe resonator because I'm a fan of h pipe over x pipe.
Yes you got the right idea! Corsa actually also sells the xtreme system with an h pipe if your interested. The h pipe sounds really good as well and will take away some rasp. 👍🏻
Just get the extreme cat back it replace the whole exhaust system
@@loscar5oh I'm back almost 5 months later. I went with the double H pipe and corsa touring mufflers (sport catback). Even tho I completely understand corsa's systems now it's still stupid how they label them. Anyway I've had the exhaust on for months now and I absolutely love it! It's a great tone but not aggressively loud. With that being said I have a set of American racing catted headers sitting in a box in my living room ready to be installed. The only reason is I'm throwing headers on it and I also have a supercharger on the way. I'm ready for some boost!

@@lobbyrobby I'm glad your enjoying it! You made the right choice imo in getting the touring mufflers since you are going to install long tubes as well. Im sure it will get louder but not as crazy like with the xtreme catback 😄

Ofcourse bro I'm happy to help! Between the roush and sport catback I'd say the corsa sport would be less loud for sure. I think the roush is similar to the xtreme catback in comparison

Yes with hi flow cats. The catback is what makes a difference when it comes to drone. Corsa has no drone whatsoever.

Great question! Tbh im not sure but in my opinion going catless versus catted gives more raspiness but I believe the volume won't be affected much on these coyote engines especially if you have long tubes.

Hey man, I’ve got bbk headers and catless and I’m thinking about switching my extremes to sports for the sound to tone it down. Thoughts? I’m miserable with the sound being too loud and miss the deep growl it had before headers.
Yes I'd say go with sport catback. It will make a huge difference in volume and will even sound deeper.

so if i have corsa double H pipe and want to get the corsa sport cat back what would that be considered?
If your planning on buying the entire catback, then it still would be a sport. So that would be the touring mufflers with the h or x pipe. The xtreme kit would be the sport mufflers with either the h or x pipe.

Not at all, the sports are significantly quite. At least most noticeable when inside the cabin.

Touring muffler + x pipe = sport catback
Sport muffler + x pipe = xtreme catback
The xtreme catback is significantly louder than the sport catback.
@@loscar5oh gotcha , so are the sport mufflers and the xtreme mufflers the same ? Like if i bought sport mufflers , then got the x Pipe and went headers , would it be as loud as if i had the extreme catback and went headers? Sorry I’m just a little confused lol

There's plenty of videos out there with just sound. As I stated in the description, I explained why I made the switch. I wish I would have recorded more sound clips but I never got the chance to do so.
