@Eric D yeah it's plenty loud and sounds like an old dump truck...no tone whatsoever just noise. You get what you pay for. Had corsa extremes on my 2017 5.0, and got more compliments on it than any other exhaust setup I've ever had, and I've had just about all of them over 8 different mustangs now. Best 2 grand I ever paid....I've had magnaflow, multiple Flowmaster systems, slp, Mac, muffler delete...you name it....corsa extremes were easily the best sounding exhaust for the coyote 5.0s
I use to be one of those hardcore manual only must have type of guys. I am coming from 2 Terminators. And really didn't think much of the new ones I had a chance to drive drive a 16 GT Premium in Automatic for a few days. Had the beautiful brown leather, heated cool seats, shaker, adaptive cruise etc. Literally so impressed with the ride comfort, the power on tap etc. And bear in mind this was with the 6 speed auto/3.19 gears. I can only imagine the 10 speed.
Very cool! I knew a guy with a Torino Super Cobra Jet (429 w/headers) with exhaust cutouts that he'd open up with two Holley choke cables on the dash! (and BTW, I wrote the book on the Mustang GT/CS "California Special") I had a '68 GT/CS for 30 years, 400K miles.
I have the active exhaust ,but always drive in track mode, how much of a difference between stock and corsa, hard to tell on video im sure its something i would have to hear in person
Hi, I had a install question. My 19 mustang GT premium was in an accident and dealer install a replacement Corsa extreme active catback system. When picking up the car and checking things out. I noticed after starting the car that the exhaust seems to start in quiet mode like I had set up before bringing it to the dealership for repairs. It seems to randomly change modes while idling. Goes from quiet to normal. When putting in track and revving the gas it changes by itself back to normal mode. The car after around five minutes of idling a defaulted message saying not being able to change exhaust modes appears. I’m assuming they didn’t line the valve motor spring up with the valve open on the tip. I just wanted your opinion if you think this is what it is.
You can't do it straight up. Aftermarket, a Roush active exhaust is gonna be your best bet. It was made to go onto mustangs that didn't get the active option from the factory.
Sorry I know this a dated video but can you make suggestions for the best active exhaust system (least back pressure) to couple with FI on a 2018+. Specifically thinking of a system to compliment a Hellion kit.
Is there no support for sport mode with this setup? There’s 4 modes: quiet, normal, sport and track but you only demonstrated quiet, normal and track modes.
Joe Falchek sport mode kinda falls in between and the valve is partially open at anything other than full throttle which is hard to show. At full throttle sport and track are identical.
The valve honestly seems the most active in sport, it's nearly the same as normal below 3k rpms and it's about the same as track above 6k. It has the greatest range of volume overall in my opinion. But you really have to be in the car to tell.
Bought the corsa with active exhaust got it installed sounds awesome but for some reason the valve is opening and closing by itself when back to the shop who installed it and they said everything was good and where surprised on why it was doing that does anyone know what I can do ?
So I have a 2019 GT without the active exhaust option. I saw the Corsa Extreme is not compatible with the base GT’s. However this exhaust will work on my car right?
CJ Pony Parts Thanks for the quick response. Just chatted with someone from American Muscle. He said that the Corsa Extreme will work on my car fine but obviously I wouldn’t be able to use the active exhaust function. Is that true or is he wrong?
Steven DeBenedetto the Corsa CBC66 on our website is designed for a passive exhaust car. The active would work but costs more and you would need to tie the valve open somehow.

They really need to make 4.5-5in tips for the gt500 and Mach1. For some reasonCorsa is producing 4in tips for the 500 so it’s a step down from stock size.
Why does the exhaust tips not sit flush? They look tilted/crooked or pretty much leaned towards the left and not in the center. Is this just how it is or something to do with the install?
around the same volume, pretty close. the non active xtreme is a little louder in decibels but isn’t noticeable at all. u could say from a hearing perspective they sound the exact same
If the connections are not made that dash throws an error saying the active exhaust is disabled. It will regrow the error every time you try to change drive modes.
Corsa makes a nonactive valve system that is identical to this one but it doesn't have the active valves and is around 300 cheaper. But be aware since it wont have a quiet mode and is basically in track mode all the time, therefore, it's going to be a cop magnet.
CJ Pony Parts painfully loud?! That sounds awesome lol if you had active exhaust like this lol all day every day seems a bit much. I wonder how many decibels it would be on that set up lmao
It all depends on my mood and what I am doing. I typically drive the car in sport mode, but my exhaust mode depends on other things. For highway driving I'll go quiet so I can listen to the radio, or I'll go track to goof around in town

Hello. nice video.
I have a question, is possible to use 4" corsa to use with sound packet (normal, quiet, track and sport)? regards.
What happened to “Sport” mode??
Aditya Desai Track and Sport sound exactly the same so they just use track! But there’s honestly not much of a difference
Seems like in track mode it sounds different than the xtreme catback non active exhaust. This true?
Do you have to buy the active exhaust corsa version if you’re changing a S550 that comes with fords active exhaust?
My next purchase
No option for black tips?
What's the controller like and cna u change the mode of it while driving?
Any plans for either the FRPP extreme or Borla Atak with active exhaust?

Do you sell the adapters that connects from the x pipe to the factory clamps? 🇺🇸
I already got a custom h pipe on my 2019 GTCS. Do you sell just the muffler bit with the active exhaust? Will it sound just as good?

Probably flowmasters or Borla ataks. Anything with a straight through muffler design to remove the backpressure.

Do the corsa sport axleback and the corsa extreme use the same mufflers? The only difference between the two is the X pipe correct?
