For me Lower control arm spherical bearings did contribute some NVH on my Whippled 10R80 stang but it was in my case the key part that eliminated wheel hop out of all the rear suspension mods I had installed.
He said the first where all mustangs come with them which is correct, doesn’t matter if it was a gt pp or an ecoboost base model all of the s550s came with them
Hey Scott & Chris: great video!! Thanks for the detailed explanation. I will be purchasing these items as first mods to my 2024 DH once I get it. I look forward to making a good Mustang into a better Mustang!!! Cheers Gentlemen‼️‼️👍👊💪😎🇺🇸✝️
I have y’all’s support braces along with the vertical links. Bolt on street car that sees street action(digs). Is there still a considerable amount of bushing deflection and end link movement on less sticky surfaces?
Even if you're on the street, you're still going to see bushing deflection. The clip at 0:15 was filmed on the street in front of our building with stock tires. You also see movement between shifts after the launch.
I know the cars are old now, but can us S197 guys get a similar video? I have a '13 Roush RS3 that I'd like to see about getting better road/AX handling out of.
Considering your Stang is a 2013. I'm sure it's a nice ride, but unfortunately it's become to old for Steeda to spend R&D money for parts or create a video covering the S197 since most current Mustangs are S550 and the new S650. If your looking for specific suspension parts. Maybe try contacting Steeda direct. Otherwise maybe contact Roush, Ford performance or possibly Shelby. Good luck
@@DWH300 the R&D is already done. They have parts for Mustangs back to like '79. All I asked for was a video similar to this one to help guys the right pick parts for their chosen Mustang activity. There are far more of us with S197s than there are S650s.
Wish I knew who to go too?? To have this work Done??? I have no problem with the parts, I don't have a lift, and I am 50 so I'm not getting under this car on my back..
Make some calls to some local independent shops. Some chat in shops won’t instal customer parts. Most independently owned shops would love to help out on stuff like this.
We don't recommend that and I'm not sure why you would only want to install the fronts only. That part doesn't affect your ride quality or add any noise, vibration, or harshness. They are designed to be installed in all 4 subframe mounting locations.
You tend to see more of the movement from a manual, but that's because you can launch those cars harder on the street. But that doesn't mean you won't see and feel the same results in an auto. Because they are a core part in all of our Stop the Hop kits, we recommend them in either application.
Stop the Hop Starter and Drag Springs. Depending on how much you're at the strip vs the street, look into the Adjustable Camber Arms and Lower Control Arm Spherical Bearings.
I’m curious if these stop the hop parts in any way adversely affect the magnaride suspension (I have a2022 PP2). Or do I need to have it recalibrated after install
If you feel they are too stiff for you or you spend more time in the turns, then the red are recommended. But you don't have to swap if you're happy with the black bushings.
All Steeda manufactured products see a 1-2 week turnaround time. Most of the kits are just missing the IRS Braces, which will be back in stock in the next few days.
We'd recommend something like the Street Enthusiast Kit with a set of Delrin Vertical Links. The Spherical Bearings and Vertical Links are going to prevent a change in alignment when you get on the gas. www.steeda.com/steeda-555-4456-s550-stop-the-hop-enthusiast-kit www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-mustang-billet-aluminum-vertical-links-2015-all-555-4121.html
For the IRS Braces you will need to remove your factory convertible bracing and replace them with the IRS braces. But all the other parts mentioned are compatible with convertibles.
Wheel hop is still an issue with the s650 ?!, the notion of the s650 is a new model is a sham, when s197 made changes in 2010 and 2012 it was not a new model is was still a s197
Ford engineered wheel hop into these cars intentionally and nothing will ever change my mind. You can barely touch the throttle and the car shakes itself to pieces. Its brand new as well bot beat. I have abused every car ive ever owned. I have naver had a wheelhop issue with any of my cars that were in no way designed to be performance vehicles. The only thing i cam think is ford want to keep you from driving the car hard so they make.it.unbearable to beat on. Same with the transmission. I have never driven a car with such a bad transmission.
What else did you have to do to get rid of it, im thinking of getting a mustang for fun but idk how much would have to go into making the suspension perfect
The Perf Pack is a great foundation to build upon. Add a few upgrades like the IRS bushing supports and start putting things in the right direction. I personally have liked Steeds components, but there's lots of options on the market. You don't need a lot to perfect the car for the street. I drive rough, back roads every day and have little to complain about. It's a very compliant car without beating you to death. Only issue I had from factory was the hard launches, but that's not an every day need either.

All you need is a good set of tires. Michelin pro sports did it for me.
