Covering the seats with large garbage bags will help save them until the project is over. Large ziplock bags on the ends of the greasy A arms helps keep them from contaminating the shop too. You're doing great.
Great content brother all the way from Australia. Bit of advice tho when pulling gearbox you should separate with torque converter unbolted so it stays with gearbox as you can damage pump seals etc. Same as re installation ensuring torque converter has engaged correctly back onto input shaft and pump before marrying back to motor. Ensure you threadlock the bolts too. Keep up the awesome work champ
be careful with the greased bearings on the driveshaft, if the fall off it can separate and is really anoying to put back together. love the new project :)
The thing at the end of the cam cover is a vacum pump, its for your brake servo and anything else thst requires a vacum, hope that helps pal. Motorbike rebuils vids are great ive bwen showin my pals to get you some more subs
Trocar os parafusos de aperto para dar torque correto. Uma vez usados já não servem! Parabéns pelo trabalho! Acompanhando aqui de Lisboa Portugal 🇵🇹 Deus abençoe! 🙏
Check BNR Racing. They just came out with a new turbo for that motor that is good to about 370 HP. I have a 2018 Venice and I'm at about 220ish and it rips so I can't imagine 350.
I’m confused why you are building the engine. How much power are you trying to make? Lol personally I would have gotten the car running and driving first to see how it is. And then do basic upgrades like intake, exhaust tune, maybe upgraded turbo. Are these engines really that weak that they can’t handle basic upgrades?
So the factory 1.5l LFV engines actually develope cracked pistons after some mileage (it's a very common issue) and the factory rods are practically 1/3rd of the size of H beem rods. I want this to be as reliable and fun (fast) as possible. I also had to pull the motor for the frame repair so why not learn how to build a motor while it's out!
Pretty sure it's more like a learning exercise than aiming for any particularly big performance improvement. If the engine blows up on this dinky thing it's not really a big deal, and he'll learn a lot taking it apart (like that using the wrong tools will break your harmonic balancer!). As long as it's not being sold to someone it's a great learning tool.
Hey, i been enjoying your videos. I'm new to these stuff after i realized fixing my by myself is cheaper and more satisfying after i send it to some workshop and they charge me a ton of money. But im currently don't have a good tools to do all the stuff my allen key is cheap stuff when i tried to open my bike caliper nut it put a dent on it making the flower lose it's shape. Currently looking for a best tool brand and I'm interested at the SATA tools. However u done these alot of times so u must have a lots of experience. What's the best brand tool in your opinion? I don't want to buy bad tool kit and waste money trying to find a good one. (Sorry for my bad English im from a third world country and didn't go to school)
Caro CJ, curto muito seus vídeos, apesar de não falar inglês, sou doido pra adquirir essa ferramenta de soldar fios elétricos, tipo pistola soprador de calor. Poderia postar o link de compra do equipamento?? Obrigado.
When you separated the engine from the transmission, oil was leaking. Is it the transmission or the engine that is leaking? Are there problems there? because you can see that the engine and transmission are new.
It’s a shame you have used two of the oldest tunes on UA-cam at the start of this video. They have been used a billion times and are well out of date now. I absolutely love your videos so hopefully them old tunes don’t pop up again. Sorry
Broo you literally have to stop buying bikes for a while and you have to invest into a large space or garage that will be a great moment for us viewers and for your parents cuse your mess will not be there😂😂
I understand your comment, yeah the shop is packed. Something about being in a small shop and working with limited space and resources maintains the relatable vibe of you know what I mean.
This channel is just fail after fail. Fantastic entertainment, keep it up buddy!
I just love your videos, Please make them longer at least 30 mins
I love this channel and am very interested in the inner workings of the vanderhall. Please more videos
Next level spannering. Nice 1 cheers from Scotland
cant wait for another brutale updates
Heck yeah bro! So happy to see you getting into a project as serious as a engine rebuild like this!!
Thanks ben! It really is a lot of fun tearing apart the insides that you never get to see! Hopefully you'll get a chance to rip this vandy with me!

Solid idea! Cheers mate!
This kid is easily my favorite UA-camr!
But/and...
Every time I watch one of his videos, I let out an audible groan, at least twice.
Like for the CV joints? lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣 You know what, i do the same 😂😂🤣🤣

Hi cj happy new year ❤
Waiting for mv agusta 😢
Be careful cinder blocks are weak that way though the vehicle is really light, holes should be vertical with a piece of wood or something on top.
Yo cj could u do a garage tour showing all the vehicles u have rebuilt
Show!!!

Not your car tho
As he no longer has a motorbike to repair, now the inventions begin: cars, tricycles and so on. Here in Brazil we call it stuffing sausage lol

It’s like a d16 Honda rod. They are as skinny as your pointer finger. Cant handle much more than 200hp! Keep cranking out the content CJ! 🤙🏻

What fun is a front wheel drive automatic? Lol. You should definitely get ahold of a slingshot and build that uo after this to compare the 2.
ouch the torque converter always goes with gearbox as its a big pain aligning it up

This engine is GM, the same as my car here in Brazil, but mine is a 3-cylinder turbo with 180/horsepower.

Its dripping from the Torque Converter, thats normal.
@@Mattsch9 ok thanks
Yes what Matt said! Completely normal, I think I need to add some more fluid in the Torque converter before I reinstall the trans too.
@@CJMediaOfficial greetings from texas bro
❤❤❤❤❤❤
you could say the balancer is no longer armonic lol
😊😊😊
Do not get that cv grease on anything it’s a nightmare to remove.

Yeah, rookie move by me, im not a huge fan of those tunes either, I'll keep them locked away for now 😁
