This. I built myself a 500$ mechanical Keyboard with all the bells and whistles after watching hundreds of videos on the topic. It sounds great, it feels good, it works perfectly, and I ducking hate it. Bought myself an MX Mini from Logitech and now I’m sad everytime I open the drawer and see my 500$ waste.
Personally, I custom-built my own mechanical, linear keyboard for around $200, and I absolutely love it. I get it, it's clunky and not portable, but I still love typing on it. But hey, mechanical keyboards are not for everyone.
The number (300, 350) etc in Mercedes EQ models has nothing to do with range - it's to do with model/trim numbers. If Arun had done his homework he'd have seen the claimed ranges were nowhere near 300, still less 350 miles. And the assertions about charging station availability are odd. I don't know where Arun is driving, but I regularly do the London to Glasgow drive and there are huge numbers of charging stations along that route. Similarly there are large numbers on the way to Bristol. The UK currently has almost 65,000 public charging points (not enough, I agree), but that number is growing exponentially and is expected to hit 600,000 within the next six years. Full disclosure: I drive an EQB and it's fantastic. The performance massively outclasses my previous car and any ICE vehicle I have ever driven (and I once, briefly, drove a Lotus Elise!) and it's so much more comfortable and quiet, and much less noisome (no petrol/diesel smells; my children's car sickness has largely vanished). EVs are still developing and are not for everyone, and there is still plenty to criticise in how the UK market supports them. But let's do it on the basis of properly-informed facts.
As someone that drives am electric van for work I really feel your pain with the EV charging situation in the UK, the infrastructure just isn't ready here yet.
Never make a "one big investment" purchase in the computing world sometimes even for commercial it doesnt make sense, thats because every 5 years tech moves so far it would be better to buy a mid-range machine within 5 years.
Yep I always buy screens or stuff secondhand now, learnt an expensive lesson a couple of years ago. One month ago I got a 500 dollar screen from last year for 80 now. 😅 works fine and looks brand new
If it's a desktop and not a mac product then it can be worth the investment as you can make upgrades. I only just changed my PC last year that was used daily since like 2012
I like these videos. And I like how you explained they’re YOUR worst tech purchases. Because some of these are not necessarily bad tech or products . They just weren’t for you
Totally, especially since like for me, I'm the total opposite with the laptop thing. I don't like working on the go, and changing scenes distracts me. I prefer the resolution of sitting at a desk and getting things done, but Arun prefers being on the go and working
Arun, learning how to type properly can massively help with carpal tunnel syndrome. I’ve only known how to properly type for about 5 years, and it has massively helped with productivity and eliminated wrist pain. It doesn’t take very long to learn how to do, it just takes practice.
Literally no-one is avoiding charging considerations. This is no different than living somewhere so remote there's no petrol station. They also have home charging as an option it's just the install was done by someone incompetent. Which I'm sure wasn't an official Mercedes person because they're such a reputable company... ;)
He specifically said about the media, not the ordinary people. Also if you think that uncle Joe installed a Mercedes certified charger without them knowing, I have a piece of desert land in Antarctica to sell you.
Okay, I like Arun, his mostly right about a lot of tech, but his experience with his EV does not match the majority of EV users in the UK. I've been driving EV for 4 years now and I've had 0 issues, I've never had to wait 3 hours for a charge, EVER. The issue he made here is the EQS is just not a good car, sure it says Mercedes on the front, but they're are reletively inexperienced making EVs. Tesla, Kia, Hyundi, BYD, MG, Fiat, Audi all make far better EVs and have significantly more experience at making them. Also there is significant misinformation in his 'opinion' on this. Traffic does not impact EV batteries. If the car isn't moving, its barely using energy. The heater will make a small impact but most EVs are now heat pump based and you'll be looking at losing 1-2% of battery per hour at the most. Range lies, well thats on Mercedes here. My Tesla Model 3 gets the range stated most of the time in Spring/Summer/Autumn, maybe 20% less in winter.
It's still awesome 90% of the time when driving close distance. It's well known if you want to drive distance Tesla is the only option. Good range and a charging network you can rely on. On the positive side the experience will only get better as more chargers open.
@@BenWeatherillBut do you regularly drive 300 Miles like he said he does? Sure, it's really bad marketing on Mercedes, but the problem persists. Finding a free charger, when you are in dire need of one is way more challenging than finding a free pump. And if a pump is occupied, it's available within the next 5 minutes. A charge-stop can set you back another 30 minutes to a couple of hours. Sure, you could just charge up for like 10 minutes, but then you are back at the same problem after 100 miles. Commuting with an EV makes sense, if you can recharge overnight. But for longer distances it's just painful.
So the mechanical keyboard part was just basically because you didn't do enough research and just went for a mainstream brand. All of the issues you mentioned can be fixed by getting the right switches for the job.
for 23,888.88 you can get a threadripper 7995wx, and this computer can run simulations. it achieved 81,804 on multicore tests. Btw the apple mac pro with an intel xeon processor achieves 10,533
That’s definitely a great thing, but there’s some situations where things, like the mechanical keyboard might not work for him but might actually be great for someone else
That suggest to ask people to spend money wisely and not to throw it at the latest fad which doesn't fall in line with the current corporate abusive world. Not all tech is bad but people need better self-control even I have problems considering how predatory is the current internet. I myself make mistakes and I highly doubt there is anyone that doesn't unless they are extremely poor. I also bought a handheld which I don't exactly use very often which costed me around 60$ as well a beamer for 33$ but hey it is better than throwing hundreds to thousands for something you will barely use. I'm not a fan current EV tech and how things are done.
I feel the portable blender is more useful for when you are going camping, where power might be limited. Having an easy way to make a smoothie after waking up could be a good use for it (I am assuming it is battery powered)
well, why not just blend everything and get your smoothies prepared before you go out. Unless you are finding the ingredients out in the wild, it's gonna be just as mushy and fresh and easier to bring.
Regarding the mechanical keyboard issues: I personally had similiar issues and bought the Keychron K3 some time ago. It combines both the mechanical and the flat membrane keyboards' benefits perfectly. Also, the switches are hot-swappable.
i wanted to get a mech keyboard but was worried about the decrease in typing speed, and loud noise. I need to be able to type as fast as possible gliding through words and even tho they seem really fun, ust doenst seem ideal so i dropped the idea nad got an avg logitec membrane intsead
Mechanical keyboards are overrated IMO. They used to be very common back in the 80's and 90's but fell out of favor for membrane keyboards, who where softer and quieter. Try working in an office with 20 of those being used at the same time and you'll understand why... Main reason why they are making a comeback now it's due to the influencer hype and the fact they have become a sort of status symbol among gaming enthusiasts. If you've got a mechanical keyboard and it works for you then great, but the reality is most people don't need one. The best keyboard you can get is one you like and feel comfortable using. Membrane keyboards are cheaper, quieter and often times sleeker (which makes them more ergonomic without needing to buy extra accessories like wrist rests). And honestly, why spend 100-200$ when you can just go for a fully functional 20$ keyboard? I understand the alure of following the hype train and wanting to try things, but really, more important than what others say is what you think is best for you and your situation... Don't feel bad if your opinion doesn't align with current trends.
i think it's a use case issue, main reason for choosing mechanical keyboards is N-Key rollover (ability to hold down many keys at once and they all register), Membrane keyboards are usually 4-Key rollover up to 6-Key (4 key meaning you can hold down any 4 keys and they all register but 5th might cause the keyboard to report no key being pressed) depending on key position and some special keys (Shift-Alt-Ctrl) you can go over the listed value but its listed as the minimum you can be sure works. For writing where most multi key uses are Shift + Letter, Ctrl + S and Ctrl + P, Any membrane will do fine. For Gaming or certain IT tasks where you set up multi-key keyboard macros for some tasks you will want at least 6-key rollover or a mechanical keyboard.
@@cyover4401how fast do you type really? I switched from a Drop CTRL High Profile with Everglide Amber Orange to the Keychron K3 with red switches and did not feel any speed change. You will just adjust for a few days. I’m a 135-ish wpm typist and can type that fast back and forth and with any keyboard really. Just have some “getting used to” adjustment.
Interesting that mechanical keyboards made the list. Doubt you'll see this but I regretted my first as well. It wasn't until I found the right switches (Silent cherry reds - no annoying click!) that I finally saw the value. Good video
Was gonna say this exact thing! Mechs have switches for all uses! I'd even go as far as trying to recommend low profile switches to Arun if he'd prefer shorter travels and bottoming out. All the best in your exploration. =)
The XSX is only on aggregate about 3% more powerful than the PS5 anyway. It's important to remember that total data processed is a product of the amount of parallelisation (GPU cores) multiplied by its clock speed. The XSX has more cores, but due to the thermal envelope limits ends up running at a much lower clock speed. In the end? Performance vs PS5 is a total wash.
The ROG Ally section basically confirms all my fears I had about it. The Steam Deck works because it's built for gaming and not a just a PC in a handheld case. It just works as Todd Howard would say.
@@NanoscopicSize did it improve now? I usually just add it as non-steam game if it’s just a game in a folder and test between proton experimental and proton 8 until I got a good stable performance
@@kongsunlyheng4186 for me deck is perfect. I've only ran into problems with gothic 2, but it seemed like windows users were getting the same, so not a proton issue. And deck is the best gaming purchase I've ever done
Watching this video felt like taking a journey through the tech world's 'oops' moments! 😄 Your honesty about your worst purchases is refreshing and relatable. We've all been there, learning from our tech blunders. Your insights will definitely save others from making the same mistakes. Thanks for sharing your experiences and making us all feel like we're in this tech adventure together!
I think the problem you encountered with mechanical keyboards was the fact that you went straight for a specifically gaming keyboard. While appealing for some people, there are far better options by companies such as Keychron and other more enthusiast brands. The recent Blackwidow V4 75% is a really good example of a *good* gaming mechanical keyboard, and I think you should give it a try.
The problem he encountered is actually the fact that not everyone actually likes or can adapt or become accustomed to mechanical keyboards. I've had my Logitech G815 for about 9 months now. I still can't type nearly as fast or as accurately as I could my old Roccat ISKU or my Logitech G213. If typing were more important to me, I'd have either stuck with my G213 or gone with a Logitech Signature K650, K120 or K270.
@@aaronthomas6155 What I’m trying to say is that different switches have different typing feels for mechanical keyboards. The problems you might encounter for one switch might be completely irrelevant or absent for another switch. It’s all about trial and error. I’m not saying mechanical keyboards are the best thing to ever exist but you really have to branch out to get a full picture of just how vast the entire spectrum is.
Also you have logitech keyboard with really thin keycaps and nice durability, he should have had spoken to a person with more affinity on mechanical keyboards@@galvendorondo
And the two brands named here as unsatisfactory are actually known for not making good mechanical keyboards. It's like saying you don't like to ride a car since your Trabant wasn't what you expected.
That and he could of have went with a low-profile keyboard like the g915, or as you said a Keychron. That would be a lot more similar typing experience. Personally, I always buy a wrist rest too. In general, he could have looked a bit more into something, but I get that not a lot of people want to do that though.
I think he was a bit rough on the mechanical keyboards, especially considering he has a corsair one, Which nearly all come with a wrist rest to prevent any damage to the nerves along with many high end keyboards offering the so called MX Silent keys which are very very quiet. Not to add as well the fact of different form factors that various manufacturers provide for the keyboards, making them very to grab on the go.
for sure, there's a whole world of custom keyboards out there that he either failed to mention or just did not know existed. He could have used the $200 he spent on that overpriced corsair gaming keyboard on a really nice custom
I think he was refering to the exact model he bought, and I think that it is a personal opinion video, more than buy or don't buy these products. I had a corsair K95 exactly like his, and I can confidently say itis NOT worth the huge price. Keycaps started breaking 4 months in, as the slot for the switch to lock is so flimsy. Then I found Keychron, and for a fraction of the price of that corsair keyboard, I have a custom one, with hotswappable switches and the option to print my own keycaps as there are hundreds of 3d Models out there for it.
I mean I hate to be *that* kind of guy but if noise and travel distance was a real problem, he could probably get a keeb with low profile silent switches. Yeah they’re a bit mushy from what I heard and don’t provide the full experience, but they do exist. Then again not everyone likes spending money on keyboards soooooo
@@felixf2631 No he was not referring to that exact model. I have the same keyboard since 2018 and it still looks brand new. Hard to believe your keycaps started breaking randomly.
I was sooooo nervous about regret when I bought my EV. Thankfully, I ended up loving my Bolt EUV. I charge mostly at home, which is simple and easy, and when I do go for longer drives, the public charger situation is a lot better here in California.
for the keyboard thing, it's better to build your own keyboard using switches that suits you, personally I use really quiet switches that short travel, on top of putting on o rings, that resting my hand on the keyboard will bottom it out (super low actuation force as well).
What you're saying is next level, even with off-the-shelf keyboards you can get a satisfying experience. mrwhostheboss mentioned minuses that are very personal. Sound - many users don't care about the noise they make(plus there are so many types of switches with various levels of .. well everything). The wrist strain - easy to solve with a wrist rest. Bottoming out - again, different switches with different levels of everything. Sure, some people don't like mechanical switches, but if you really give it a proper go, there's no going back. That said, I would not reccomend anyone getting into it if they like their membrane switches, mechanical gets very expensive very quickly.
I just wanna say, if you get a mechanical keyboard, a palm-rest is a must. You should get some silent red switches and lube them up to get a quiet and satisfying typing experience. Also razer keyboards suck because most are not hot swappable and they they all produce a metallic sound when you type because of the frame vibration. Hope this helps!
His review was also extra wrong when the Corsair K95 Plat also comes with a wrist rest which has 2 sides and the holder is detachable. It's a 200€ after all. What baffled me the most is the excuse to have lost speed using the best switches to type ease and accuracy. Downsides on this KB are the detachable pins or the wrist rest are not particularly sturdy and the size of some keys are different that most brand so you need custom keys. But he reviews mechanical kb in a whole and what he's telling me is he didn't use it enough to get used to it as you have to, coming from all these membrane and chiclet ones...
I've been watching your channel for eight years if my memory serves me well, and I have to say I'm glad you can now afford to make expensive mistakes. You've worked hard and deserve it.
one solution for the mechanical keyboard is to get a gasket mounted keyboard, which is softer and bouncier to type on, and do make the keyboard quieter, consider adding some foam or other mods to make it quiter, or perhaps quieter switches, as i think the keyboard is hot-swappable. different keycap materials may help too
It's so sad you rarely see splitscreen in games anymore. I think the main reason for this is with the advancement in graphics and such, you have to spend more and more time into optimization for those graphics as well. And having a secon camera just means you have to render double the amount of graphics on screen. Meaning it's scrapped in most big budget games which sucks!
And also, game companies and console companies alike make more money from each person buying their own console and copy of the game, and playing online together using their subscription services!
Bro, your videos are so good that I was just lost in the preview of your video when I realised that it was around end… I patiently wait for you every video And I keep playing your old videos because you put so much effort on it, and I love them…
Mechanical keyboards do take some fiddling to get it all right, but that’s also part of the fun of it. Trying out new switches, keycaps, foam, etc. Still not for everybody, but I think it’s worth sticking with it and tweaking things to get it just right. Personally have a Keychron K7 with some Cherry reds, some extra foam, and Mode Design keys with a nice wrist rest. I wouldn’t call myself a keyboard fanatic, but I definitely value all the different approaches you can take.
Also you are not supposed to rest your wrist while using a keyboard which made it difficult for Arun to continue using it. Following good posture would make all keyboards useful.
I hate laptop and other thin squishy keyboards, I'd rather use a screen then. I very much disagree with Arun on this take and so does 80% of people that have anything to do with tech or gaming.
Interesting to hear the EQS getting so little range. Also the charging situation in the UK seems to be really terrible, as here in Belgium you pretty much always have a decent charger available within 25-50km of motorway
Yeah, I'm always amazed when UK citizens do not realize that their country has completely fallen from the standards of mostly the rest of EU. But then again, they fell for a propaganda campaign utilizing populism, kinda like fascism when you think about it. 😲
His talking about fast chargers not the ones that take 3 to 5 hours to get you 40% battery. And he also talks about how fast charger that charged the car to 100% in 35 minutes are usually filled with people since everyone wants them so you have to wait in line for them
@@niggachad_1 Yes, so are we, they are literally EVERYWHERE. Good luck getting that in UK while outside of EU. LMAO. But then again, maybe we see you back in a decade or so, pretty clear what the opinion of brexit is in UK right now. Only rascists and the rich still supports it.
@@niggachad_1 In Germany probably 80% of rest stops have them (at least 150kW, but going up to 300kW). Driving fully electric for a while now, there was only one day, where I had to drive 10km on to the next rest stop, because the last one was full (usually the car would now this and change the route accordingly, but this time also one charger was blocked by some construction, but was reporting itself as available...)
@@kurap1kaa exactly finding available fast charger are hard no matter where you live. Cause they too little to meet the demand of electric car drivers. I'm staying with old engine till electric cars actually get good
I think that Arun needs (even) more recognition for his videos because unlike other tech channels he is efficient but still makes it fun to watch his videos! Keep up the good work!!😊
I don’t think the series x is a waste of money as the jump in performance and graphics from last gen is nuts. Made me replay some of my old games at 4k 60 fps. Xbox exclusives like starfield are coming- hopefully.
But those games can still be played on the old console people buy a console for new games that can’t be on other consoles of the past and xbox series x fails this graphics can’t save a console and a disappointing killer app aka halo infinite if you want game pass buy a series s/xbox one
Yeah where the games made for the system itself? Game pass is great and all but its not the whole reason to a new console just to old games with better performance.
i would rather recommend the Series S because it’s enough to play those games and otherwise i choose my PC, in the same time some of the unique aspects of PS5 makes the experience better for me, than the experience of Series X
the problem is xbox is full of promises which never deliver. Yes starfield may coms out. But is has not yet. Yoy need to live in the moment and at the moment, Sony is bodying xbox. I have not touched my xbox series x once since i bought it except to play halo i finite campaign which was disappointing. Not to mention ps plus monthly games are significantly better than xbox game pass ultimate
The small details, the editing and the stunts you do in your video will definitely get you way ahead of Apple! Damn liked when you put the grater near your Apple 2019 Mac Pro!
Damn, this video was more of an eye opener than I thought. I've been wooe'd so many times by the BlendJet commercial, but damn your experience broke the marketing spell they had on me. Mac pro was obvious, especially after Apple Silicon. It's actually impressive how good the Apple Silicon chips are. The mechanical keyboard issue is something I always related to. I've always felt the same and I can type much faster on my laptop keyboard. The EQS and electric cars in general really do have an industry wide issue where they exaggerate range and charging speed. I love EVs but I cant recommend it to people when they overhype the specs like this. And lastly the PC handheld gaming. It is frankly overhyped and I am glad someone actually took the time to lay out the practicality of it,
I absolutely adore my BlendJet - it's super useful in a bunch of circumstances and I never have issues cleaning it. And I know many people for whom it's the same. I strongly disagree with what's been said in this video specifically about this product only. But to each their own!
Guy buys the most hated keyboard brand, gets browns, state that "it's clicky", then concludes mechanical keyboards are bad. Also... tomatoes in guacamole ??? lol
Personally I think the series X has been very worth it for me and it's sad for me to see Arun not think it's worth it, however I think the experience is different for everyone.
PC has all the Xbox features, but not all the PS5 ones nor does it have all the games. I would say a PS5 is a better purchase and a nice PC is always amazing.
Here's right though. If you compare XSX and PS5 side by side, PS5 is better for majority of users, and sales statistics prove it. I sold my XSX as I was disappointed and tired of waiting, and waiting, and waiting for good exclusive games, so I understand Arun completely. If PS5 offers the same multiplatform titles AND better exclusive titles, what's the benefit of Xbox? None.
@@being_mr_gamer386 You actually can, but you'd have to use the used market. If you want new you can get a PC for around $700 (you need gold to play online on Xbox so it'll pay for itself anyway) plus you can get that for $400 by just getting a PS5. Xbox is really not in a good position at all right now and people only buy it because of the "most powerful" claims (I know it's technically more powerful but tests have shown that PS runs games better) and because of brand loyalty. It's either PC or PS now, Xbox shouldn't be a consideration and I'd never recommend it to anyone.
I have the blend jet and honestly I like it. Mainly use it when we go out some where like vacation for a while instead of taking a full sized blender everywhere. It’s pretty portable
Mechanical keyboards vary a lot, and I would say some of your issues there come not from it being mechanical, but characteristics of that one that simply do not suit you. There are low profile switch options with significantly less travel, and certain switches or o-rings to cushion the bottoming out, and with lower noise than clicky audible feedback ones. There are keyboard designs, and maybe even modifications to reduce the sound even more. But those still may not make it a good fit for you personally. If a membrane keyboard suits you well, there isn't a need to change. Mechanical keyboards vary such a huge amount, it would be ignorant of someone to declare a keyboard better for someone for reason of it being mechanical alone.
This is a working example of that one point you made in 'im worried about humanity's future'. You mentioned that humans will pay more attention to negative info over positive info. This video has gotten more views than your video about your 5 best tech purchases, by about 800,000 btw!
For a mechanical keyboard it's probably just cause you got the wrong one, there's many different types of switches, Silent MX cherry switches for example or even low profile switches
Yep, I went with Silent Linear switches and the typing experience is amazing, it's also a hotswap keyboard so if I didn't like them I could easily swap them out with different switches.
Not to mention he bought a prebuilt gaming brand, which are all horrible in terms of sound and feel. They all have very rattle-y stabilizers that require modifications to really make sound and feel good.
@@hhaste Yep, the only pre-built 'gaming' keyboard I'd recommend is the new Razer, everything else is just...eh. I ended up with a Ducky, but swapped out the switches for Gaterons (though am wanting to try the Boba U4's...being in Oz limits my options somewhat as shipping here can be expensive and annoying). Lubed them up and it's a super smooth typing experience. Going for a gaming keyboard when you're using it for productivity isn't the best idea. Keychron make some great 'pre-builts' and their low profileis fantastic, same with Nuphy.
I have the Wooting 60he which is definitely a great buy for me. I got the wrist rest so it cost more, but it is a great typing experience, and the Rapid Triggers help it to feel so much faster and the Hall Effect sensors are so smooth. You should review that one!
Interesting. The best/fastest keyboard (programming) that I ever had was a Monroe 2000, a semi-compatible IBM clone just like the Tandy 2000 (video buffer was different between both 2000s AND the IBM PC...), but it had a keyboard with hall effect keys. Never saw another keyboard with that, and of course, the keyboard wasn't detachable on that Monroe 2000 either. Going to bookmark this in case I want one to type on again.
I bought a blendjet for the form factor and being able to make individual servings and being easy to finish. When I make stuff with my vitamix, I always find myself adding more and more in after each drink, instead of finishing the little bit that is left at the bottom. That's a me problem, but the blendjet does help with that, I have to be more mindful of the space that I have to use. It definitely has some shortcomings when it comes to frozen things, but working around that, it's helped me out. I've only noticed the ads more recently, months after I bought it.
About the keyboard, you can always get a custom cream mechanical keyboard. They make less noise (compared to the corsair you have) and are much more satisfying. They dont bother people around you ^^. Maybe you'll see this, maybe not, but it's worth giving it a try. Love your videos!
For his specific requirements (small travel/bottom out distance, noise) and he mostly doesn't care about it's keyboard quality or looks, custom keyboard would also be "wasting money" for him ig
I placed mine on a towel and dampened the sound significantly. It also matters how you type. Since Arun types like his using a normal keyboard then it is going to be loud.
I don't own a mechanical keyboard yet but I plan to. Been watching a lot of insta reels and found myself liking the creamier sounds better. Which switches would you recommend the best for creamier sounds?
@@ry.hoshiko5482 I’m not a custom keyboard expert, and it also depends on what you like. There are a lot of previews and Vostok builds with all ingredients on UA-cam, it’s just a matter of research
@theworm7156 Windows provides that for free. Even upgrading from a new version of Windows is free for the first 5 to 10 months of release and Windows PCs come standard with a 2 year warranty without paying extra. But don't get me wrong Apple PCs are good and reliable PCs for business class even the old PowerMac G5s are still great PCs today, but that's it.
@theworm7156 Not for major updates on Apple. You need to pay for major updates on Apple however for Windows you'll be able to get it free as long as your device is compatible with the upgrade.
the blendjet might be a bit overhyped but its actually pretty usefull for gym and work, especially when you want a cold smoothie, you just put milk and ice in and blend it. Also, to clean it, you can just open the jar from the bottom, the whole long plastic thing comes out.
My cousin has a portable blender, not sure if its the same one or not though. But she uses it while shes in college. She isnt allowed to have a typical blender in her dorm, so a portable blender does come in handy for her! While I can see the cleaning issues, I do also believe there are some good, specific situations where they can be useful!
I generally watch videos on this channel for entertainment but this was a useful video for a change and I appreciate it. The amazon reviews video was another useful one that I can think of in the recent past.
The ergonomic keyboard you showed is my favorite one on the market. The only downside is that it’s kind of fragile, and won’t survive even the slightest fall or jostling…
I love the video concept, it's raw and honest. But, please, make the deep dive into the world of mechanical keyboards, someone like Glarses would a great channel to collaborate with. I'm sure you could find the perfect keyboard for you, there are literally hundreds of options to choose from.
My personal soulution to all of these 1: i never had a use for a blender. 2: get a g915 tkl, perfect blend of thinness with that mechanic keyboard feel. I live alone so no noise complaints. 3: play pc games 4: have a switch or a decent phone or any other handheld console. 5: learn to cook 6: build your own pc that you can upgrade latter. If you need a laptop, get a framework. 7: get an aptera (when it comes out), look it up, the amount of positive things i can say about it is allot. 8: opera is ok
I'm proud that I realized the pointlessness of a portable blender pretty much on sight 💁🏽♂️ Nonetheless, a few months after hearing about it, I bought one 😂 It's actually a good product for people who travel a lot and like blended drinks. I have one such friend, so I got him one and got a second one for free
Early adoption of products comes with its elevated risks (as compared to products that have matured a bit when purchased) - especially true for tech based products since we have been led to believe that their "so-called" lifespans are so small (ever heard things like "3 years is an eternity when talking about tech products"). Anyways, hindsight is always 20/20 and I am glad you made this video - especially for the more expensive products. In some of the instances - e.g. the Apple desktop computer and later in this video and especially for the Benz - ideally it would be neat to update the original video with a clip inserted "Future Arun here to point out some of the things that didn't turn out as rosy for xxx products as when we initially published this video" - mainly because there will still be folks who might still purchase those products in the future after watching those original videos and might not get to watch this video till its too late. Granted that most of the items would have depreciated quite a bit (including the Apple Desktop) that folks wont pay anywhere close to what Arun paid originally. However, for things like the Benz and even the keyboard - Arun makes some valid points alluding to how "persistent hype" surrounding the product can make us make decisions against our own gut feelings at times.
My problem with this ( 6:16 ) is that, yes it is not made for this, but when you use Steam you got the Big Picture mode. You can simply let it start at startup with it. And then you have almost the same experience like on the Steam Deck which you have not even covered with your point.

There's a right and wrong way to enter the mechanical keyboard world, and some would argue that what you picked is the wrong way, but also one of the most common ways. You should revisit the them in the more enthusiast segments where the boards are essentially supposed to be customized to be catered to your wants and needs.
You definitely need to try out other mechanical keyboards. For productivity use, gaming brands are not the way to go. Order a customised one or someone can do it for you. Lubing, sound dampening, using the correct switches, there’s so much to do.

Man the car thing really sucks, everything else you could probably find some use for but if the car just doesn't have the range for the journey you can't even leave the house with it.
Yup, there are a lot of variables with mechanical keyboards that affect feel, sound and usability. Pretty shortsighted of a tech reviewer of all people to drop an entire category of products based on his experience with a single (and tbh, overpriced/overhyped) product.

That car range feels like a scam. Car range should assume we’re using a heater or AC.
I swear, the advertised "450+" assumes you don't even turn the lights on...
Daniel give me coffee
It's the same for all of them
The number (300, 350) etc in Mercedes EQ models has nothing to do with range - it's to do with model/trim numbers.
It is a german car brand so maybe it stands for kilometres and not miles
As someone that drives am electric van for work I really feel your pain with the EV charging situation in the UK, the infrastructure just isn't ready here yet.

Arun, learning how to type properly can massively help with carpal tunnel syndrome. I’ve only known how to properly type for about 5 years, and it has massively helped with productivity and eliminated wrist pain. It doesn’t take very long to learn how to do, it just takes practice.
Your EQS summary basically pointed out everything that is avoided in "big media" promoting evs
Tesla's charging network works like a charm. He bought the wrong EV lol.

In a city, with a small car.
@@ahtheh and if you have own charger :D
The car is brutal. I really feel for him there. Imagine spending 120k on a gift which turns out to be an inconvenience 😢
@@BenWeatherill1.9 tdi will go to the moon and back on a sigle tank

And here I am wishing I could afford that Keychrone K3...

@@zemozem360he failed to mention it, glarses literally made him an entire custom keyboard and he never mentioned it. unless this was made before then
I think he was refering to the exact model he bought, and I think that it is a personal opinion video, more than buy or don't buy these products.

This guy needs to get into custom keyboards to understand mechanical keyboards
@@talongloy agreed
He needs a heavier weight switch too because he likes bottoming out. Too bad my recommendation for him no longer is being made
His review was also extra wrong when the Corsair K95 Plat also comes with a wrist rest which has 2 sides and the holder is detachable. It's a 200€ after all.
What baffled me the most is the excuse to have lost speed using the best switches to type ease and accuracy.
Downsides on this KB are the detachable pins or the wrist rest are not particularly sturdy and the size of some keys are different that most brand so you need custom keys.
But he reviews mechanical kb in a whole and what he's telling me is he didn't use it enough to get used to it as you have to, coming from all these membrane and chiclet ones...

i hope you know that you can take the glass/plastic part out of the blendjet and clean instead of having to sticks your whole hand in there
one solution for the mechanical keyboard is to get a gasket mounted keyboard, which is softer and bouncier to type on, and do make the keyboard quieter, consider adding some foam or other mods to make it quiter, or perhaps quieter switches, as i think the keyboard is hot-swappable. different keycap materials may help too

Personally have a Keychron K7 with some Cherry reds, some extra foam, and Mode Design keys with a nice wrist rest. I wouldn’t call myself a keyboard fanatic, but I definitely value all the different approaches you can take.

1:59 what went wrong with the keyboard layout right here??
I don’t think the series x is a waste of money as the jump in performance and graphics from last gen is nuts. Made me replay some of my old games at 4k 60 fps. Xbox exclusives like starfield are coming- hopefully.
But those games can still be played on the old console people buy a console for new games that can’t be on other consoles of the past and xbox series x fails this graphics can’t save a console and a disappointing killer app aka halo infinite if you want game pass buy a series s/xbox one
yeah he thinks its a waste of money bcuz 343 fucked up
Yeah where the games made for the system itself?
Also... tomatoes in guacamole ??? lol
Most hated keyboard brand??? It's not
@@johnwheels89 If you are into keyboards, corsair is absolute trash.
@@sweetsurrender815Agreed
Here's right though. If you compare XSX and PS5 side by side, PS5 is better for majority of users, and sales statistics prove it. I sold my XSX as I was disappointed and tired of waiting, and waiting, and waiting for good exclusive games, so I understand Arun completely. If PS5 offers the same multiplatform titles AND better exclusive titles, what's the benefit of Xbox? None.
@@sweetsurrender815try to get a pc at 499 dollars as powerful as series x
Yes it's not bad at all
Mechanical keyboards vary a lot, and I would say some of your issues there come not from it being mechanical, but characteristics of that one that simply do not suit you.
Oh, look at that ⌨️ catch! Absolutely marvelous, I must say. A true chef's kiss-worthy moment!
That was hilarious showing the cheese grater next to the Apple computer 🖥️ 😅
5:17 Now I’m not alone 😂
To whoever caught the keyboard……. NICE CATCH

Welcome to the wonderful world of Apple, where you'll end up with overpriced paperweights thanks to planned obsolescence.
I mean they support for like 6 years of new updates
@theworm7156
Windows provides that for free.
@@dogs-and-destruction-channel yeah duh it’s free it’s the same with apple
@theworm7156
Not for major updates on Apple.

The ergonomic keyboard you showed is my favorite one on the market. The only downside is that it’s kind of fragile, and won’t survive even the slightest fall or jostling…

Nothing like a Mrwhosetheboss video to brighten a bad day
My personal soulution to all of these
1: i never had a use for a blender.
2: get a g915 tkl, perfect blend of thinness with that mechanic keyboard feel. I live alone so no noise complaints.
3: play pc games
4: have a switch or a decent phone or any other handheld console.
5: learn to cook
6: build your own pc that you can upgrade latter. If you need a laptop, get a framework.
7: get an aptera (when it comes out), look it up, the amount of positive things i can say about it is allot.
8: opera is ok
I'm proud that I realized the pointlessness of a portable blender pretty much on sight 💁🏽♂️
Nonetheless, a few months after hearing about it, I bought one 😂
It's actually a good product for people who travel a lot and like blended drinks.
The guy think is not worth it for him... Please ROG ALLY fan boys dont bring your toxic shit here.why when any one say something about the ally u don't like, you need to have a problem about it?

Secondly where does it say I have a ROG ALLY? At least I suppose I need that to be considered as a "fan"...
There's a right and wrong way to enter the mechanical keyboard world, and some would argue that what you picked is the wrong way, but also one of the most common ways. You should revisit the them in the more enthusiast segments where the boards are essentially supposed to be customized to be catered to your wants and needs.
You know Arun’s videos are never disappointing, especially when he has a consistent upload schedule

You definitely need to try out other mechanical keyboards. For productivity use, gaming brands are not the way to go. Order a customised one or someone can do it for you. Lubing, sound dampening, using the correct switches, there’s so much to do.

As far as the mechanical keyboard it really comes down to what kind of switches you have.
Yup, there are a lot of variables with mechanical keyboards that affect feel, sound and usability. Pretty shortsighted of a tech reviewer of all people to drop an entire category of products based on his experience with a single (and tbh, overpriced/overhyped) product.
