when the Nintendo Switch was announced, I was really looking forward to Nintendo releasing cool joy cons over the lifetime of the console but they just never did, it is a market that is there for them and modders have had to pick up the slack, dude this was awesome to watch you are very good at not only thinking of ideas but the execution of them, seeing where you are not as experienced as others and reaching out for help to make the project perfect and you succeeded
Nintendo creates a potential market for themselves, stubbornly ignores it for no particularly sane reason, and then the modders swoop in to take advantage of the empty space. To everybody's benefit. Then Nintendo attacks the modders for having unregulated fun. A tale as old as... Well, whenever Hanafuda cards popped out, I guess.
Literally just ignoring it (which would be harmful in its own right) would already be way better than what they’re doing already when they’re sabotaging fan projects left and right. Wolf Lykaios Nintendo is too lazy to try anything like this. They’re lazy with their OS. They’re lazy with Nintendo Online. It’s a shame.
@@codybishop7526 Nintendo wouldn't want to make this because its too big. The joycons are already great in the first place.
@@codybishop7526 They're not lazy, they're conservative. We're talking about a gaming company that's been around since 1889. That's 120+ years of business. When Sony and Microsoft were still a pipe dream and their CEO's were graduating highschool, they've already cornered the market on card games and Pogs. There's a reason why Nintendo still exists.
@@scottwpilgrim lol they almost went bankrupt and they only got lucky momentum from their portables and switch. they make mistakes too and can be lazy and misinformed. it would be smart for them to build a gamecube controller for switch cause literally everyone would want it, and their os has always been shit they only started tightening it up after the switch came out as well as their Nintendo online. its not that deep, nobody's saying nintendo's bad we're saying it's run by humans and prone to human error and judgement like anything else.
Look how much time and money he spends just to entertain us, what a legend
So true, I remember getting a notification for this video, and got recommended this video so many times (even though I have watch still very entertaining.) Legendary work.

I particularly liked when you “scanned” the shell on a document scanner
You realize 3D printers look exactly like any other scanner or printer right?
@@MrFraknak lol to be fair i know quite a few people that don't know that fact. but the looks on their faces when i tell them is hilarious.
@@MrFraknak They do? No 3d printer I've ever seen looks like a normal printer.
@@six6r actually it probably wasn't a joke, many ppl do this bc document scanners keep dimensional accuracy so you can then import the shape into cad fairly easily
Edit: I actually first saw this on a different controller modding channel where he actually explained the technique
MrFraknak have you ever seen a 3d printer lol
Every couple of months i come back to this video and just get more fascinated each time
What I learned from this video:
1. You are awesome
2. I lack patience for this kind of crafts

There are so many steps where most people would’ve gone “nope - I’m done, oh well I tried”. Tried contacting Nintendo? A working prototype is surely half the work. It would be awesome to see your creations mass produced.
This dude has achieved the title “legend.” Mad respect

Also the title Legend of Zelda

Power A and Hori: Write that down, WRITE THAT DOWN!
I legit would not be surprised within the next year we see these made by them. Watch 'em be $60 too 😂 day one purchase for me
If Hori made them I'd buy them
Ikr I would buy them too. Especially if it’s power A because their wireless GameCube controllers are really good
I just wish PowerA's custom print Switch Pro controllers didn't have flimsy-ass sticks.
I thought Power A left the business
Why is this being recommended to me again, I already watched it like a million times
Good, boy, algorithm. Keep it up 😄
I feel you
The UA-cam algorithm chooses videos based on a history of what you've previously watched and recommends similar videos. So, since you've watched this video a million times previously, and there's basically NO OTHER VIDEO THAT COMES CLOSE TO ITS AWESOMENESS, it just continues to recommend this one of a kind video over and over to you. Basic math! ;-)
Ok
This is the most rewatchable video
Okay but fr, along with being amazing at everything, this guy's comedic timing is on point with stuff like "stupid left and stupid right buttons that nobody likes" and "attempt to play smash Bros online". This is the first video of him that I've seen but I'm already subbing to him

I saw a controller that was a gc controller but Bluetooth and compatible with switch
I just came for the nostalgic view in modern technology. Keep it up.
when the Nintendo Switch was announced, I was really looking forward to Nintendo releasing cool joy cons over the lifetime of the console but they just never did, it is a market that is there for them and modders have had to pick up the slack, dude this was awesome to watch you are very good at not only thinking of ideas but the execution of them, seeing where you are not as experienced as others and reaching out for help to make the project perfect and you succeeded
Nintendo creates a potential market for themselves, stubbornly ignores it for no particularly sane reason, and then the modders swoop in to take advantage of the empty space. To everybody's benefit.
Then Nintendo attacks the modders for having unregulated fun.
A tale as old as... Well, whenever Hanafuda cards popped out, I guess.
if nintendo were to make joycons like these they would've made a boatload of money
only poor NES joycons or recolors with special things
Literally just ignoring it (which would be harmful in its own right) would already be way better than what they’re doing already when they’re sabotaging fan projects left and right. Nevermind embracing the enthusiasm by fans around the world, no, not only do they get no appreciation, but they straight up get axed for it
one of the pains of being a nintendo fan is looking at their wasted potential. in every.single.way.
“Nintendo is no stranger to fragmenting their controller scheme” **Proceeds to slam balance board on table**
shank: Has to paint something one color
Shank: I need painting lessons
The secret is Donkey Farming
I love watching your videos at night because of how peaceful they are, and just how intriguing it is to look at your work and try to figure out how you do it, like the brackets, I need to learn 3d printing to better understand it, but I just really enjoy it
