Same, I especially remember wanting to see him remake it after watching his N64 video though I never thought it would happen. Boy was I ever so happy to be wrong about that jajaj
I’m pretty sure Nintendo was so proud of their water graphics quality that they made it the thing for this generation. Starting with project dolphin, wave race at launch, Mario sunshine, Zelda wind waker
And indirectly Metroid Prime had some really good water as well with the actual water looks and the waves you made, how murky it would look when you were underwater and the mist/rain on the visor.
Nah son rigging multiple layers of water textures was just an effect at the time that became popular because it was easy to do for the computers in general back then. Square enix ps2 games like Kingdom Hearts and final fantasy are alot of water environments and islands.
I worked my first ever job in the summer of 2002 at the age of 16. I took my first paycheck, went to a CompUSA and bought a GameCube, Melee and two extra controllers. My brothers and got an incredible amount of joy from that system and it's my second favorite system ever behind the Sega Genesis. This is probably my favorite video you've ever made, Scott.
I really really miss when the GameCube was new. It was such an interesting time. Companies started perfecting 3D games and we saw some of the most creative games back then
One of my favorite features of the Gamecube was the fact that almost every game supported full 60 fps gameplay. You can still notice today how smooth the games are even just menu navigation is incredible.
i was surprised to find out some ps2/gamecube and xbox games supports 1080i 60fps. Most tvs in the early 2000's were 480p crt and 720p plasma tvs. Quite impressive that they could pull it off. Thats something i would have expected from the next gen.
To be fair kids loved their console regardless what it was back then as all 3 systems that console generation were good, just 1 of the 3 was better than the others because how it got truck load of more quality games compared to the other 2.
What are you trying to say here? As a GameCube owner, and by proxy a GameCube controller, I have to say, Everything just oozes in the right position, it's like human hands were made for this.
this came out when I was in college. At the time my roommate got a $200 speeding ticket and was like "aw maan that was my GAME CUBE MONEY". I think of that every time.
@@BGRUBBIN That's the thing, Dan and Tab never said their roommate was speeding, they only said he got a $200 ticket for speeding. I think it was a ruse by the police officer to get GameCube money.
I remember when younger appreciating how light and easy it was to travel with the GameCube. I had a small travel bag just for my GameCube with a game or two and all the plugs. A lot of times my family would have to go stay at grandparents place to take care of them and then go back home a few days later. So I ended up with A LOT of nostalgic memories of playing a lot of the GameCube games to pass the time. I used that handle damn it.
In my opinion this was truly one of Nintendo’s absolute best consoles. Excellent Library of Games, Graphics that still look great to this day, and the iconic start up.
Was the Gamecube really named after a shape? I never knew that. What shape was it named after? This totally changes my perspective on Nintendo's first foray into the Gamecube market.
What's funny is that while the Gamecube didn't have a huge install base during its own lifespan, people got to enjoy the games through the Wii's backwards-compatability, and I think that's why so many people remember playing Gamecube titles despite never owning a Gamecube; the Wii sold the most units in the following console generation. Edit: if I'm not mistaken, the Wii sold 100+mil units. The gamecube sold ~20mil units. The Xbox 360 and PS3 sold ~80mil units. Therefore you could argue that, if you subtracted everyone who bought an actual Gamecube from the Wii sales, it means that the number of "new" Gamecube owners via Wii sales were about equal to the 360 and PS3. Just food-for-thought.
@@JorgeGomez-hx5uu The architecture is too different between the Switch and Wii U... but 99% of the games were re-released for the console, anyway, or had better versions come out on Switch. So, if you didn't own a Wii U, you can at least play the games from that generation.
It seriously did shape a generation, I can remember being at Target as a young child and seeing the ad for Super Mario Sunshine and just being like “wow, the future is here”. I never loved a Nintendo console more than I loved my GameCube. Got so many years out of that little purple cube.

Really Luigi’s Manson was one of my favourite gamecube games. On launch I bought a flight stick to play route squadron in, still one of my favourite game series
Good lord yah. And the 3rd rogue squadron was also pretty dope to. I played a boat load of Gamecube and N64 games. I was always more of a Nintendo dude. But I have plans to own all the old stuff some day. Like my dreamcast. Awesome system. The Sega Dreamcast was way ahead of itself, and it also had some bomb exclusives to.

@@TheAoalec14 My favorite thing to remind my friend is just how long Madden kept coming out on the PS2. His reaction every time tells me he still cant believe it.
@@Gungho73 lol for real. I remember playing the shit out of the madden with Vince Young on the cover in the dorms in college..that one came out on PS2 PS3 Xbox 360 n GameCube I think even for like 2 yrs after they still made it for old generation
@@TheAoalec14 Yeah I remember Peyton Hillis cover on PS2 copy and I'm pretty sure that was 2012. Which is WILD to me. Fans were mad for years because it actively sabotaged PS3/360 versions.
My childhood home had a flooding issue, and my GameCube was kept in the basement where one day came bumbling downstairs to find myself knee deep in water. I waded through the water to my cube, fully submerged, and tried to turn it on and play pokemon coliseum, completely ignoring the flooded ass basement.
Animal Crossing on the gamecube was the game that got my mother into gaming. I'd purchased the game so my niece and nephew had something to play around with, but they had trouble reading, and would ask their grandmother to read the game for them. Eventually she was more into the game than the kids were. She played it every single day, for years, so they didn't miss anything. She's STILL playing Animal Crossing, now on her phone. Some days I regret buying that game...
My god. What Scott said about the Zelda games each being a "legend passed down" so each one would have a different art style makes so much sense that I wonder why the f*** I never thought of it before. Please do more Zelda games Scott!
@@jacobmonks3722 only the fans force the games into a timeline. Nintendo doesn't care about it (except when they can sell Hyrule Historia's with it), which they have stated many times. It is ''the legend of Zelda'', not the ''meticulously detailed chronicles of Zelda''
My first gaming console was the GameCube when I was 5. I don’t ever remember asking for it, I just remember how excited I got when I opened that gift and saw it for the first time. One of my most treasured memories is watching my mom play Paper Mario after school everyday until we beat it.
The fact you said your mom played Paper Mario is pretty damn awesome. I never had a parent that played anything past an Atari 2600. That's dope you got to watch your mom beat that game
My first gaming consoles were actually the classic PS1 and 64 I remember how amazing, and very rad it was back in 94 on TV sets I remember getting the Ocarina of Time during Christmas back in 98 it's probably the only Zelda game I love the 64, PS1 and GamecCube were way ahead of its time. ♥
i used to play mario kart double dash over and over without even realizing that you unlocked newer courses by winning on harder difficulties. When I first unlocked those new tracks and new characters my life changed forever. I also remember playing crazy taxy a shit ton, as well as playing these demo games over and over from the game cube demo disk. So many memories from one console.
I remember being around 6 or 7 years old and accidentally accessing the GameCube's menu. The music made me feel like I was lost in some forbidden temple and I felt like I didn't belong there, like I was seeing things I was never meant to see.
I can't imagine how different this generation would have been if Nintendo stopped caring about piracy so much and made the GameCube full sized disc compatible. Even without DVD playback, the amount of games that would have been a _breeze_ to port/develop for it would have been insane, and with the extra power, it might have led to the best versions of those games as well.
No, I'd agree. I think if the GameCube used full-sized DVD discs, that would bring a lot of advantages and helped in a number of ways. That being said, I don't think that change alone would've significantly changed the outcome of the GameCube though.
Super cool to hear you mentioning stuff like the EON adapter for the GameCube. Upgrading those older consoles to look fantastic on modern displays is just what some people need to scratch that nostalgia itch. This vid doesn't go in detail about it but for those looking for more info on that, I'd check out My Life in Gaming's videos on getting the best out of the GameCube visuals.
@@ZaLewdWarudo A GameCube is only like 20 bucks and Dolphin is still far from perfect so if you can afford it's still a much better experience to play on actual hardware at this point in time
I was a bit too young for the GameCube, my first console generation was the DS and Wii, but I remember getting my cousins old GameCube and my uncle taking me to a second hand game store to buy games for it, and that will always be a great memory for me. My favorite game that I had was Mario Party 5, and I remember asking my cousins if I could have their old copy of Windwaker, and being so disappointed when the disc was too scratched up to work. So many fun memories with this thing.
The last Nintendo console i bought for myself was the N64. I then bought my friend's Ps1 for $20 so he could buy his Ps2. The only Nintendo I bought since then was my (step)daughter's DS, because her Deadbeat sperm donor's sister wanted to buy her Ninten-Dogs(don't think she even played it). Now my daughter is an Xbox girl. Thankfully cross-play is working itself out so we can Minecraft together. Sony/Microsoft/(Steam/Epic/new winner) is the future. Nostalgia mattered 15 years prior, now it's just business.
If you still have that disc you can very easily fix it up cheap, buy some Novus 2 off amazon for $6 and some microfiber cloth and gloves to avoid getting it on your skin and rubbing out the scratches/resurfacing it by hand. Should fix it if the scratches ain’t too deep.
I was perhaps just barely too young for a GameCube. So precisely on the border that many of my friends had one, but I was the one who ended up with a Wii close to release. I remember walking into a flea market used game store and picking up a copy of Metroid Prime 2, among some others. It's very unrefined to be sure, but that game's multiplayer has much more potential than many give it credit for.
@@nodorog448 I think you're the first person I've ever heard talk about preferring the Xbox. I don't even know anyone who owns one tbh but it's cool that it's working out so well for you and your stepdaughter :)
I think it's cute all his videos have a set format that he NEVER varries from. History and jokes for most of the video, but he always ends with a serious, nostalgic/tender summation. You can even hear it in his voice that he is trying REALLY hard to sound like he is discussing something that truly touches him. It's like he learned a format for planning these videos I'm high school drama class and he has never looked back.
It's incredible how Nintendo consoles just don't break. Never had a problem with overheating as well. But the Switch may be the least solid of them all, even though it may be one of their, if not their best console yet.
I still remember the day I got my Gamecube. I opened up the box, was looking over the system while my mom popped open the game. I'll never forget her reaction. "Why the hell is the disk so small!?"
I never had a game cube, but boy did I want one! I was only six when it was released, and didn’t have any video games or electronics at that point. My friend got one for Christmas in 2002, and i remember playing Mario sunshine on it at her house after school some days. Good times!
This is easily one of my favorite generations of games. There's good stuff coming out these days, but when it comes to sheer quality and fun, the 6th generation really was something to behold.
6th Gen was legendary. When the 360 came out, I remember going into Walmart and playing the demo console. I wasn't blown away like I was going from 5th to 6th Gen. Games nowadays have lost that magical quality for me, every now and again, I'll see something new that gets me hooked, but it's much more rare.
@@Sonic6293 it's called Rosy recolection, you probably where a kid only entering into the videogame industry when the 6th generation was in full swing and because of that you remember them that way because it was something new that you where experiencing for the very first time because by all accounts while there are some exceptions like always modern games are just better thanks to the last 20 years of evolution and improvement
Whenever I was a kid, my parents asked what I wanted for Christmas. At the time I didn’t know the name of any console systems aside from the “Nintendo” lol. So I said I wanted the box console. It sounded like that would be a console. Come Christmas, instead of opening a GameCube, I opened an xbox. My life forever changed from that day forward haha. Loved games ever since :) even Nintendo titles.
I feel like I’ve beaten Luigi’s Mansion at least 6 times, and it still holds up as one of my all time favorite “Mario” games. Overall, a very good showcase for the GameCube’s potential.
I'm always going to miss this generation of gaming in it's entirety. The worst selling console of this generation, still had a library was absolutely timeless, and jaw dropping. No matter what you had, whether it be a ps2, xbox, or a GameCube. You had something special, that truly had a heart and soul poured into it.
Yeah, personally I would say sixth (PS2) and seventh (PS3) generations are the last and best ones, all a bit downhill from there. Seemed like every gen was building on the last one exponentially, but it kinda slowed down and tapered off for eighth (PS4). Yes there was progress but there wasn't this appreciable jump any more. There's less difference to my eye from a PS3 to PS5 game than there was from a PS1 to PS3 game.
14:53 Can we all appreciate how Scott has up to the correct date marked on the calendar when it comes to when this video was published? Like, that either takes good estimation of workflow, good planning, or some luck.
The remake is coming in March and I CANT WAIT!! I really hope they kept mercenaries mode and I would really love a rogue like mercenaries mode where random enemies and weapons are different in every run.
This was my university console. During the holidays, we used to climb through the lecture hall window, set plug the Gamecube into the AV and play Timesplitters 2 (and later Timesplitters: Future Perfect) on a cinema-sized split-screen. Also, in the university kitchen, the Gamecube sat next to a Dreamcast on top of a PS2, which in turn sat on top of an XBox. Fun times.

My dad accidentally threw all of my Gamecube games away once and I had to fish them out of a public dumpster, but I didn't find all of them. Metroid Prime was one of the few games I couldn't find anywhere in the trash 😭
It’s fantastic isn’t it. It was my first console and I’ve played it all the time as a kid. So many great memories made. I found it in my garage not too long ago and it still works along with the games
The early 2000s were an insane time for video games. So much quality stuff came out in such a short time frame and almost none of it feels dated, unlike the previous generation. I need to go back and try it all. Thank goodness for ports.
10:10 there's actually an official gamecube carrying case, that has a space for putting the console where the handle will pop out the top, and extra space for stuff like accessories and games, there's even a pocket on the cover/lid (?). It's a cool novelty and would definitely make carrying the thing ALOT easier, but Im not sure how many people bought one.
GameCube was my third console, but it’s still among my favorites. I played that thing to death. Melee, TimeSplitters 2, Nightfire, Wind Waker, The Sims: Bustin’ Out, REmake, Twin Snakes and RE4 were games that defined my early teens. When I got older, I started playing the Call of Cthulhu TTRPG and it made me check out Eternal Darkness, and it’s a game I hold very dear to this day.
This is the best Nintendo GameCube retrospective on the internet. You cover all the bases and highlight every important game released as well as every hidden gem. Kudos for creating the most entertaining, informative, comprehensive and insightful piece of video dedicated to this amazing and under appreciated Nintendo console.
I wouldn't say I was *satisfied* as someone who was exclusively a GameCube owner through most of that gen, but it had Melee, so I didn't really have a choice!
I remember the Christmas I got my Gamecube. I wasn’t expecting to get one along with Super Mario Sunshine, that was the most excited I had ever been on Christmas
curious fact, the fact that it is difficult to pirate was one of the reasons why the game cube was not popular here in Brazil, because believe it or not, the ease of pirating is one of the requirements for a console to be well sold here since the original games here are absurdly expensive, where without any exaggeration or joke, you can buy a cheap second-hand motorcycle for the price of an original game which means that many people like me have never even personally seen an original game in my life what makes it cost even more
From an aesthetic perspective, the Gamecube is easily my favorite home console of all time. It just looks so nice. Games-wise, a lot more of my personal all-time classics exist on the SNES and N64. However, the Gamecube has two behemoths -- Smash Bros Melee and Animal Crossing -- that I've probably spent triple-digit hours playing. Add in Mario Kart: Double Dash and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and this console becomes a must-have for me. Signed, Someone who owns an e-Reader
I wouldn’t be surprised if he just took photos of the shelves when he first set them up empty and used photoshop to get that effect once the GameCube was shelved. I don’t think it’d be too hard to do
i actually remember accidentally triggering the boot up Easter Egg 19:39 i recall being creeped out and shutting the console off after, think it was the giggle at the end of it that just made me panic and do so
29:22 I'm pretty sure the LAN adapter and the modem adapter were two different devices. The LAN adapter connected multiple gamecubes to play with more players (or to let each player have their own screen) and the modem adapter allowed you to play online.
The GameCube was my first game console and I got it when I was 5 years old. It played games like super smash bros melee (my first video game), sonic heroes, Lego Star Wars 1 and 2c Mario kart double dash, and Starfox assault just to name a few. Some of my most treasured memories are of me and my friends playing it together and it contributed to my love of video games. It holds a very special place in my heart and I still use it to this day

I love how Nintendo's always been terrified of piracy of their games, yet they never actually put in the work to providing a fair and legal way for people to play their older games. Then whenever they do, it's usually a _very_ select few titles and its the most minimal effort they possibly could've done to emulate it, and yet expect a fortune for it. Nintendo's still 50 years in the past as far as technology goes, it's no wonder people have their games emulated at 4k before they're even released nowadays.
It comes from Nintendo being a really old company heavily married to Japanese law. They are both really backwards compared to other companies' retro offerings whilst rigorously persecuting anything online that might enable others to access their old games.
I really wish they’d give some love to the hidden GameCube games they’ve neglected forever. There are so many that didn’t sell well that I’m very confident would become cult classics if rereleased today :( I may just be projecting my love for cubivore
They never do so I stopped caring. Anything older than a gen is free game and fans did it better. Nintendo will never offer a better way to play GameCube than dolphin.
I’ll always see the GameCube as “the end of an era” with home consoles, everything before it is definitely the “Nostalgic chapter” of gaming before everything felt like “now/just recently”, and definitely a great ending bookmark at that. It also has my favourite game of all time, Super Smash Bros Melee on there too, so idk I guess it’s pretty good.
IMO it may feel that way before it was the norm for every console to be online, get patches, or have something like a home screen instead of booting straight to a game
I want to say thanks scott for inspiring me to get a GameCube 😂. I knew people who had one so rewatching this video made me have some serious nostalgia.
The GameCube is my favorite console. Simple but has character. I finally finished building the perfect game cube. Gcdual, gcloader, Gameboy player, ez flash omega, broadband adapter, and a full set of wavebirds.
I was in high school when the Gamecube launched, I loved that thing, it is my favorite console ever. And it was a nice touch that Scott is cosplaying as a purple Gamecube.
Gamecube was so interesting to me as someone who grew up with a Wii instead, because it had the graphical qualities of the Wii, but the games felt VASTLY different As I became more invested in Wii and Nintendo in general, I began researching about the company's past and learned new things, and when I found out about this console's existence I was hella confused, cuz it looked so much like Wii but it felt much more "hardcore". No offense to Wii, but the intricate control schemes and much more narrative-focused gameplay were enough for a 10-year-old like me to feel like that Since then I've had a weird relationship with the system; I couldn't buy one cuz it was hard to find and afford one for a stupid little kid like me, my Wii was korean so it wasn't backwards-compatible, and I couldn't even emulate it cuz back then regular household PCs weren't powerful enough to run Dolphin properly. That didn't stop me from beating Luigi's Mansion on 10% speed tho. Ever since then I really, REALLY wanted to experience Gamecube games, all I'd do on UA-cam was watching other people play it, and playing Gamecube games started to feel like some luxury to me. So somehow, I have some weird nostalgia for it even though I didn't actively grow up with it. I guess I idolized it a little bit Now I actually own the system, and even then I always feel different when I play on it compared to the other systems. It's not nostalgia, it's not just simple respect for retro, it's... Idk, a weird in-between of those two? I think it's interesting
Oh wow, that's all of my words taken out of my mouth, outside of owning an actual GC, I just got out my old Wii from my childhood and bought one of the Smash Bros. GameCube Controllers. The GameCube is oddly special, it was just this... era that struck a special little place, and made wonderful results.
I had a GameCube as a kid but I used the Wii more. Then I realised the Wii had backwards compatibility with the GameCube and that's how I played all these groundbreaking games the GameCube became a very big obsession for me since I became able to buy stuff for myself I started a small GameCube collection and I never looked back.
@@explodedglue5509 the GameCube is one of if not the best nintendo console ever released but if I was you kid get a white Wii as you can get one cheaper and it plays GameCube games which is mainly why it's so beloved to GameCube fans
"They are sooo concerned about piracy" is the keyword here. When I went back to Asia in 2004 after growing up in the US since 1993 during NES, SNES, N64 era; I was so surprised people in Asia (Around Japan but not Japan) have almost 0 nostalgia for Nintendo games, because back then, popular games were those that were pirated. If Nintendo handheld weren't easier to pirate, Pokemon will not be this popular (it came built-in along with billion other games into the DS in Asia pirating scenes). Now, game pirating scene in Asia died down (at least from what I can see), and most people just buy real games now, they do not have nostalgia for Zelda and Mario and even Mario Kart at all. But they will buy recent talk-of-the-town like Will Sport, but skip Mario Galaxy, Animal Crossing New Horizon, but skip Mario Odyssey, etc. I just talked to a colleague who claimed to be Nintendo fans and played Animal Crossing like crazy, I asked if she played the new Kirby yet. She said "a what?" My advice to Nintendo, brand recognition and accessibility matters, not all market is the same, so in Latin America, Europe and even Asia (right next to and all around Japan...but not Japan) where Nintendo don't even have PR team in and never does promotions; instead of worrying about piracy here, focus on brand recognition instead.
I agree. In Nigeria PlayStation has large brand recognition and sales due to how easy it was to pirate PS1 and 2 games. Nintendo did not have any form of presence in the market. So when I mention Kirby or Zelda most people don’t know the franchises. Beyond 2D Mario which was pirated lots of franchises are unknown. Mention Crash, syphon filter, winning eleven metal gear and god of war you get people talking. Cause these games were heavily pirated. But now the piracy scene has reduced, many from that generation have more income, more people are bringing in games and console, online store and digital sales has greatly reduced the need. There will still be piracy in markets that you don’t have presence in and really that should not matter since you didn’t plan to make any money from those people anyway.
Yeah, and I should know. I lived it! For up until recently, there was an active store which sold pirated DVD movies, games, and Windows programs. High speed internet was still rare in the Philippines from 2000 to 2012, to the point that Internet Kiosks and Cafes were so prominent in every singe area of the city. Nowadays, we either buy it online or pirate it online. Seriously, As much as things have progressed, you will never remove the cheapskates in our country.
I grew up with a Gamecube and it is absolutely the console that cemented my love for games. Pokemon Colosseum, Mario Kart Double Dash, the endless Zelda titles, I was absolutely addicted to this console. If I were ever made to choose only one console I could play for the rest of my life, Gamecube is the one.
I saw Resident Evil Remake on this thing and it was a system seller for me! Dat Jill pose in the elevator before the final battle with Tyrant! ATI graphics was phenominal on this system!
they should release a new F-Zero on the Switch. Or a new Mario Kart. I really do like the Switch, but it get's really so little love from Nintendo with so few first party titles. Most of the time they just port old games and double the original price.
I was born at the GameCube’s beginning, so I didn’t really know about its existence for years because I was too young. I was a Wii bitch, and I really love the GameCube so much now. Edit: 2002 btw. I’m sure my age group played it, but I just never knew about the GameCube throughout the 2000’s. I played the PS1, PS2, and Xbox 360 at my fam’s houses. The Wii was an awesome Easter gift in 2008, but I had no clue what those ports on the top were meant for. Edit 2: Yes I got one Easter gift ever. I love how that overtook the conversation lmao.
I was born in 03 and got a GameCube when I was maybe 4? And I loved the thing, played so many great games like Mario sunshine Luigis mansion sonic mega collection gems collection, good stuff. However ever since then I have been at least one console generation behind, when the Xbox one came out I had a 360, and in 2017 I got a switch and only 2 years later the next gen ps5 and series x came out.... only for me to get an Xbox one s, lmao.

6th Gen was legendary. When the 360 came out, I remember going into Walmart and playing the demo console. I wasn't blown away like I was going from 5th to 6th Gen.

It was the phase just before gaming became much more mainstream. Games were still made for fans
The Dreamcast was the worst selling of that generation
Yeah, these days are definably the opposite.

You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20
Revelation has been unfolding since Jesus died. The Popes have claimed to be equal to God and set themselves in Jesus' place (antichrist(s)). Vatican City (Which is its own nation BTW) have risen up to fulfill the role of the false prophet
Regarding the man of lawlessness or antichrist, 2 Thessalonians 2:4 says “Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The restrainer that the Apostle Paul was referring to in 2 Thessalonians was the Western Roman Emperor, who held back the Popes from taking power. Once the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 AD, the Pope was given civil and ecclesiastic authority over Rome; healing the deadly head wound of the beast in Revelation 13, as they took the Emperors title of Pontifex Maximus, leader of the church and state.
“We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God.” (Source: “Decretals of Gregory IX,” Book 1, chapter 3.)
Pope Pius V blasphemed, “The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.” (Source: Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Cities Petrus Bertanous Chapter XXVII: 218.)
Pope Leo XIII declared, “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” (Source: Pope Leo XIII Encyclical Letter, June 20, 1894)
The antichrist sea beast of Revelation points to the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, who controlled the Roman beast for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD.
Daniel 7:25 says “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” The Popes of Rome spoke against Elohim and proclaimed to be God. They reigned for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. during which they caused tens of millions of saints to be killed.
The Pope’s title is Vicar of Christ, which in Latin is ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’, and equates numerically to the number 666

Nintendo: I’ll release a port of super Mario sunshine when I want to!
Nintendo: There will be no piracy
Fans: and no way to play old games
It comes from Nintendo being a really old company heavily married to Japanese law. They are both really backwards compared to other companies' retro offerings whilst rigorously persecuting anything online that might enable others to access their old games.
I really wish they’d give some love to the hidden GameCube games they’ve neglected forever. There are so many that didn’t sell well that I’m very confident would become cult classics if rereleased today :(

Ah you too?
I was in high school when the Gamecube launched, I loved that thing, it is my favorite console ever. And it was a nice touch that Scott is cosplaying as a purple Gamecube.
Gamecube was so interesting to me as someone who grew up with a Wii instead, because it had the graphical qualities of the Wii, but the games felt VASTLY different
As I became more invested in Wii and Nintendo in general, I began researching about the company's past and learned new things, and when I found out about this console's existence I was hella confused, cuz it looked so much like Wii but it felt much more "hardcore". No offense to Wii, but the intricate control schemes and much more narrative-focused gameplay were enough for a 10-year-old like me to feel like that
Since then I've had a weird relationship with the system; I couldn't buy one cuz it was hard to find and afford one for a stupid little kid like me, my Wii was korean so it wasn't backwards-compatible, and I couldn't even emulate it cuz back then regular household PCs weren't powerful enough to run Dolphin properly. I guess I idolized it a little bit
Now I actually own the system, and even then I always feel different when I play on it compared to the other systems.
You've taken all the words out of my mouth everything you said is EXACTLY what I think of the gamecube and I would still like to have one
This is very deep, I love it
I had a GameCube as a kid but I used the Wii more.
It's clear Nintendo where really really proud of how good they managed to make the water looks on the GameCube
The four swords adventure was hands down in the top 10 gamecube games released. Playing that game 4 players was amazing!

To paraphrase Gabe Newell, the success of piracy is the failure of the service, or in this case, the marketing team.
Exactly right.
Better than PS2 and this is how I feel about it 9:58
Zelda games all suck sorry

And on my first video game console too. Truly bring a smile to my face
Pikmin 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, I love how insane it is.
F-Zero GX was so ahead of its time. They could release a port on Switch with some touched up graphics and an online mode and it would sell like crazy.
Sadly they focus on Mario Kart instead
No, it wouldn't. There are barely Nintendo fans. Only Mario and Zelda fans...
they should release a new F-Zero on the Switch. Or a new Mario Kart.
I really do like the Switch, but it get's really so little love from Nintendo with so few first party titles. Most of the time they just port old games and double the original price.
@@mario_adv2nture Don’t forget Pokémon.
@@svr5423 prolly because most nintendo games can be replay able for year(s)
The timing of the ad for me was perfect:
“Mario Sunshine may have been the only mainline Mario, but we got- EXPEDIA”
Same. I vaguely remember seeing commercials on TV for the Wii and literally everyone had at least 2 of them when it came out
Same here
I was born in 03 and got a GameCube when I was maybe 4? And I loved the thing, played so many great games like Mario sunshine Luigis mansion sonic mega collection gems collection, good stuff. However ever since then I have been at least one console generation behind, when the Xbox one came out I had a 360, and in 2017 I got a switch and only 2 years later the next gen ps5 and series x came out.... only for me to get an Xbox one s, lmao.
Same, I'm an 04 baby.
Kinda same for me
