- Hi Everyone. I never knew that instant snow expanded so much and so quickly. Can you guess what happens in resin in these three resin experiments using instant snow?

Instant Snow in Resin -Can You Guess What Happens??
Warning: Important Health and Safety Notice:
Resin is an industrial chemical and as such should always be treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken. Here is a video I have made on how I keep myself safe: • Stop Making Yourself I...
How interesting. I could see using that in a snow pyramid for great effects.
Hearing how tickled and excited you became when the “snow” reacted with the water quite literally made my day! Thank you for sharing another cool experiment. Now, I’m off to order some snow! ✌🏼💜🛼
Someone is having a lot of fun. Awwwwwwwwwwww
I love instant snow! My brother moved from here (Wisconsin) to California, got married & had 2 kids. When they were around 7 years old I had realized that they've never seen snow, so that Christmas I sent them some instant snow. My brother said that it was their most cherished gift that year! They've recently moved to Colorado near the mountains, so now they have the real thing, but they still talk about their snowy Christmas in California! Thank you for all of your experiments, as sometimes they bring on fond memories!
Your laughter cracks me up.
Really interesting. My kiddo has a ton from her slime making days. I'll see if I can use it come Christmas! Thanks again Steve!
The giggles st seeing it for the 1st time were cute!
Love the glittery one. Looks like a jewel
Steve is the wrist better! I hope so. Love your tutorials and experiments. God bless you and your family and furbabies.
I reckon that would work well on waves and seaside resin pictures. What do you think?
Just love your experiments! I'd never heard of instant snow either.
Thanks Pam, me neither. It’s great though. Lol
Amazing experiment ! Fascinating. 😍
Love how excited you got about fake snow haha
This is the first time I've seen that kind of snow very interesting. It didn't melt down ? Can you please let us know if it does.
This would be interesting to know how it lasted long term. I would assume in the resin it's encapsulated enough not to "dry" out. However, maybe it would break down and become cloudy??
If I remember correctly, this is the same stuff used in diapers, so if you have a little kid who still uses them, you may be able to cut the absorbent stuff out of a diaper and use that if you can't find instant snow
Brilliant experiment Steve as always!
I have so be waiting for this video cant wait to see what it dose
Hope you like the outcome 😀
Yesssss thank youuu!!!!
I never heard of it either I’ve got a stinking cold at the moment but you cheered me up. You could make a snow scene with a snowman and all that would be cool I might try it in my pyramid mould
Wow...
Questions:
1. I was wondering if it "melted" ?
2. If it did how long did it take?
3. Did it return to the same amount or did it still have some slight expansion?
4. What is the longterm effect with the resin?
So I thought it's really cool. I think the one with glitters was the best one of all.
Love the experiment!!!
Ringy-dingy🔔🔔🦋🦋
Very cool experiment! 💖💖💖👏👏👏🇦🇺
First time I have seen this stuff ! Great experiment ! 😁💙
That stuff is so cool
I’m shocked it cured! That’s pretty cool. I do wonder if the water will cause negative color changes over time inside the resin though, like flowers that aren’t fully dried can mold or foods can rot
This stuff looks brilliant! Wonder if you could make it up and spray glue on it to make a snow scene?
Hey there. First I love your videos/tutorials/experiments. I love your reactions even more when your experiments turn out cool.
I didn't read all of the comments so I don't know if anyone made this inquiry.
I'm wondering if you tried mixing mica powders, glitter, or the alcohol colors etc., to the instant snow before you activate it with the water to see how it absorbs the colors then how it works with the resin/epoxy?
Awesome steve McDonald
Haha this was great! Instant snow seems like an interesting item. Don't have any use for it, but you for the most part had great results!! Thank you Steve!
Can you mix some premade snow with resin and make a little snow scene for your snow globe? I remember last year you had a snow globe mold and I think you put a dress form in there? I am curious to know if the artificial snow would create too many bubbles for the resin.
Can you imagine though, if it worked, you could have a.little snowy landscape forever on your mantle 🥰
This is going to be interesting. All I need is a reason to purchase something else.
HI Steve, I Was like you so Surprised at how much snow you got out of one tiny bit thanks for the demo very Interesting 👍✨Lin
I just love the snow!
Have you ever used leather in resin?
Love your videos. I've just recently started making resin crafts. Just letters, a few spoons and a leaf tray and was wondering should I be using craft or art resin. Thanks again for all your hints and tips they are great 😁
This may be the stuff that they are using for clouds in different resin projects. 😲
Yeah I bought some (not knowing it's what they put in diapers and it needed water) thinking I was going to use it in resin glad you did it for me first
That was fun Steve. Have you ever tried using Ivory soap in the microwave? It's whipped so 5he air expands and you get little clouds. I just cut a few tiny pieces and puff up, it takes just seconds, then when cool it stays puffed and I just drop in resin.
interesting! had a thought ~ would the instant snow stuff react well if put into baby oil or shaker fluid when making a snow globe?
I wonder if you could use it to make a winter scene like you’d see in a snow globe.
have you tried using colored water to expand instant snow, it would be so cool if you could make it, blue or red before adding it to resin
Quick membership question…..if I were to join in a few days, despite your “coming to an end…” of the selling series, would I be able to still see it all?
You should try mixing a colour into the snow after you add the water and before you pour clear resin into it.
I wonder if you could use this to make a base for a snow globe
If you put the wet snow in a screen strainer and then suspend the strainer above a bowl. Will putting it in the pressure pot squeeze the water out of the snow?
you could make te snow with colourd water, recon with food colouring or some kind.
I was thinking, perhaps food coloring instead of the glitter would be nice to experiment with.
what if you use colored water?
I enjoyed the video but was a bit disappointed when the results part seemed very rushed and we didn’t get a close up to see each ourselves. Just a suggestion, maybe you can show some close up photos at the end?
IT'S FOR RESIN SNOW GLOBE'S 🌎!
What would happen with alcohol ink drop in the snow/resin mix …. Like a Petri dish?
I wanted to see what happens if you didn't stir it. The snow not the powder
I think I'd be more disappointed, if the resin didn't cure nice and hard.
At least, the resin cured well, even if the results weren't what you anticipated! :)
