Nice, spectacular snowfall. I guess we were lucky in Portsmouth as we only got cold 🌧 rain. As we have 3rd rail, we get spectacular results when it snows so I hope we get some. Anyway, great video. 👍

Excellent selection of trains and very nicely captured and uploaded. You must have been frozen getting this video but it was worth it (for us viewers at home). The Pullman looks great.

As a retired civil servant I find these films incredibly interesting and extremely relaxing..To see a vibrant healthy, well-used railway system is another great indicator of the state of a nations economy. (Along with the number of white vans buzzing about) well IMHO.
@Michael Wells no, just an honest observation. Most UK public don't get to see how hard our railways work carrying freight. Its just a pity even more doesn't go by rail . Electrification of our railways is surely far better for the environment than HGVs, too
Unfortunately not long ago TFN said 90% of freight in the north goes by road, since the running of block trains a lot of yards etc have fell into disrepair or sold off for development. The freight side of the railway couldn’t handle a big increase in demand, privatisation has seen a big increase in train weights but a lot of job cuts.
That one of the clearest PA systems I've heard at a station. The announcers accent is perfect for the task.

Great footage on very snowy conditions ! The 57 DRS was that just left idling all day for emergencies incase electric power failure happens ?
It left at lunchtime but was sat ready to go whilst I was there in the morning. 👍
