It added quite a bit of interest for us as we were at Levisham when the hot box incident occured. We saw some interesting train movements around the station as a result. Hats off to the staff and volunteers for dealing with what must have been a stressful situation at the time.
Hi . I was there the 4 days & was with you its seems at the end of your filming ! Big thank you for this, Peter ( the chap with the Black Greyhound ''Harry''. ) The first time we had every walked up the the ornamental cast iron farm bridge,. was mentioned there was a good photographer amongst the group gathered and this really does bring out the sights & sounds of the event staged by the great MYMR team we saw at that time. I can only add the very massive 'thums up' you both deserve. & bvery happy I found your work here..........
Some great clips and thanks again for sharing. It is sad to hear about the disappointment you experienced at the end of the day on Sunday. I was there on Thursday and Friday where everything went to plan except for a slight delay with some of the trains as the day progressed. The weather conditions on Thursday were awful so they did a great job keeping everything running to the slightly delayed timetable. It seems strange that they did not put the steam loco on the front as that would have been a lot better for the people who turned up but I believe that the 9F was only being used as a banker to Goathland and then removed.
Thanks very much Alistair, glad you enjoyed it. Good to hear all went to plan Thursday and Friday even if the weather was a challenge, all part of the fun lol! Cameron
Eddystone being fitted for mainline working? OMFG! Back circa 1993 I helped move her wheels along a few yards of track in a field in Kent - was overjoyed to encounter her unexpectedly at Swanage two years ago - now to hear that I might see here on the mainline... OMFG again!
Wait, Repton's back!? That thing hasn't been in service for well over a year. I've been going since October 2023 and each time it's been stored with the front part of the running board removed. I'll have to go on it again when I visit next time.
@@JRS06 yeah, how the MPD managed to put her back together and running properly with only a week to go before the gala is incredible. Hats off to them.

Brilliant Cameron, once again the filming and editing is first class.
A very enjoyable video indeed....you NEVER fail.
Thank you very much for your kind comment David, it means a lot! :)
Loved your presentation.
Thanks very much Kenneth! :)

Great shots. I especially liked the 2 Black 5’s double heading.
Two fives are better than one!
Thank you very much! A pair of Black Fives is always a fine sight to see :)

Wow a great job done,we went on Saturday,a really good day
Thanks for the enjoyable video. It might not have been what was planned but it made for some different combinations!

Repton sounded great, like the "5"s. Super loco!
@@peterrobin9872 Ah, Repton. All steam engines are fantastic but Schools for me were the pinnacle. Great video, thanks.
Diesel banked by steam, a rare event. I imagine occasionally seen in BR days.
Nice !. Richard T.
Yeah! The limestone trains from Peak Forest were headed by class 25s and banked by 8Fs over the top with the 50 ton ICI hoppers.
Great sound :)
Thank you! :)

Some fantastic shots 😃

Still enjoyed this video even if it wasn't what you truly wanted... really liked the side shot of 4953 banking.. rare!

Yes it was a shame how the day ended, I thought the steam locos had failed but then found them banking the diesels ..
Great video
Thanks Josh! :)

Nice Footage there Cameron and Paul
Thank you very much :)

So, they decided to replace the 9f with the 25 because of late running that had nothing to do with the engine?
People getting so butthurt over someones own harmless opinion is hilarious. Just deal with it. Fantastic video. Particularly enjoyed 926
Very enjoyable views but what was unfortunate?
