Thanks so much for the videos! Just picked up one of these today! This makes it so much easier than trying to figure everything out with just the manual. Thanks again.
Keep up the great job Eddie, your content is very informative with excellent topics.
Thank you so much!
Excellent video! The air conditioning “tuner” in the middle is more for cold weather/countries, it’s when you select warm air centrally but you don’t want something to warm in your face when you’re driving, so you can adjust with a bit lower temperature for the “front” part (could also work to regulate a too cold air in your face in summer in presume 😉…), if I’m not wrong 😉
Thanks for your videos!!
Super helpful. Thanks!
Great content on the F15 overall. Really thorough in this video as there is a lot of tech and features. Just bought a loaded X5 Xdrive50i yesterday and love it. Thanks for the content.
Congratulations!
How is your experience with your car so far?
@la10sooony I am thinking of making a video to recap. First time owning a BMW and was hesitant as this one was higher in miles with 86,000 miles. Good news is I opted for a third party warranty (5 years/50k miles). I have had 3 repairs done all covered by the warranty. Paid $3k for the warranty and have had $5k in repairs done (ignition coils/fuel injectors, rear air bags, and recently air suspension compressor). Overall it's a great vehicle for luxury, performance from the v8 is great, and it's really practical for me here in CO. I go camping with it and even pull a trailer from time to time. It checks all of the boxes for me and I will continue with BMW as long as I have a warranty. They are not cheap to work on.
@@JThomas2678you should learn to work on your own vehicle, it’s not rocket science and is very satisfying.
Great video - Thank you!! I have a 2017 X5 35i with M sport package - On your video at approx 09:25 you said turn on both heated seats - you hit green and blue // in mine the green is heated and blue is air conditioned seats... !?! Great women to bring you lunch .. Bless you both!
Yes, she really is a good person. I have a bad habit of getting distracted and not eating so she makes sure I’m well fed!
Yes, you are correct. The blue is ventilation and green is heated. I was trying but didn’t come out that way was that you can activate both the heat and ventilation simultaneously. Some cars only let you do one or the other.
Mate fantastic video keep up the great work.
Thank you!
What does the big round thing in front of the driver seat do?
what dashcam do you have?
Great video.. I have a 2016 X5 35i and find the steering is way too soft in comfort and even sport mode. The best steering feel is with eco pro mode because power to the eps is reduced which results in a tighter or heavier steering sensation. What are your thoughts?
I do prefer the steering to be tighter. I rarely use EcoPro unless I’m on a road trip. I should try it out next time. Good tip!
Hi sir awesome content channel. Have you ever tried to lower the suspension of your X5, is it possible?
I never tried to lower it. I know people who have done it so its possible!
What if you don’t have the paddle shifters ? I have the same bmw suv but I don’t know how to shift it when it’s in manual.
Jinelle H, you can always move your shifter to the left once you’re in Drive to the M/S mode.
S will have sportier driving characteristics (will also consume more fuel). When the shifter is in the M/S setting. Moving the shifter forward to back to the + or - setting will shift up or down respectively.
Hi Edward, nice video. I looked at most of your videos and noticed that when you start your car or switch on iDrive system, your media is not played automatically. It stays off. For some reasons my media (Radio, CD) starts playing automatically when I start my car or switch on iDrive system. How did you manage to achieve that (disable autoplay on start up), please?
That’s strange, both of my X5’s audio system always remains off when restart.
@@eddiemcars Hi Thanks. Do you press the mute button before turning the car off?
@@bobbyzy4430 yes, if I press the mute- on/off button before exiting the car, it will remain off on the next restart
@@eddiemcars thank you. I was under the impression that you don't have to mute- on/off and car will always start at fresh with media/audio switched off. Have a great day.
Can you also explain the nomenclature like ‘F15’ and etc? Thanks.
Yes I can. I’ll make another video on that
@@eddiemcars Thank you!
Is there anyway to get a comfort access key made without paying the absurdly ridiculous $450 dealer fee to get a second key made?
I think you’re restricted to the dealership for programming. Unfortunately.
does your ac whine a lot at low speeds in the 50i? it not like overpowering but is it there? cause our 50i does it and the dealer said it just normal for the 50i's to do that.
What kind of whine? If it’s really hot outside and the fan running I will hear it occasionally but usually it’s hard to hear.
@@eddiemcars its a low pitch whine it actually sounds like a supercharger XD but goes away when the ac compressor is switched off.
I just listen. Mine has a very faint hum that goes away with the a/c switched off.
@@eddiemcars yea you can really hear it when your moving slowley in like a car park just above idle of the engine.
That top speaker on a same year model pops up why is that ?
It’s a fancy design from Bang and Olufsen that’s all. My last Audi Q7 had rising tweeters from each corner of the dash when the audio system was activated.
Hi Edward, I'm looking to buy an X5 this weekend. I found one with the exact features as this one, same color, same engine. Would you recommend getting this V8 model? Thanks
If you like having horsepower, then the V8 is an excellent option!
@@eddiemcars Thanks for your reply. Do you anticipate it having more issues than an in-line 6?
I think the issues are going to be the similar. The V8 may burn oil, but I've heard of some I-6’s doing the same.
Thanks for your input, I think I’ll pull the trigger this weekend.
I'm confident you won't have any regrets.
What option gives you the leather dash?
Extended Nappa leather
The best part was when the pretty blonde lady showed up 😍😬
