I think newer cars with high mileage are nothing to shy away from, I’ve always bought high mileage car a few years old and they make great buys never had an issue
Probably because they are highway driver vehicles. Doesn’t damage the engine and the gearbox nearly as much as city driving. And also less time is spent in the vehicle as it’s going faster, so it gets worn less in the interior! Also people don’t want high mileage cars so they are much cheaper

I only sold my beloved Mondeo because it would not pass the ULEZ requirement due to start in October this year in many parts of London. I have travelled the length and breath of the UK with my Mondeo and never one day did l have to call the RAC to rescue me. What a lot of people don't realise is that as long as one upon buying a high mileage car, immediately gives the car a good service (oil filter, air filter & plugs in the case of petrol cars) most importantly changing the timing belt/chain, and subsequent regular servicing, the engine will go on forever. Surprisingly quite a number of people don't know a lot about cars and only judge a car's reliability on it's reg or mileage. I think you should also do a video on "Should l buy a newer or older reg car"?? A lot of people judge a cars reliability on the reg of the car. Considering one of these, nice to see it on high miles
I’m looking at a 13 x5 with 155k miles. For around 9k would that be a good deal?
I’ve got a 64 plate X5 with good history and it’s a great car 🚘...I suppose you can’t catorgise every car the same due to previous owners etc ...
Which app do you use for hpi check and spec?
Hey Calvin, I know you said each to their own and it depends on the individual car but if I told you I wanted to spend £12k on a facelift 2016 Audi A3 1.4l s line with every factory option you could think of like a pan roof and an virtual cockpit, but it had 85k on the clock, would you say I was being stupid with my money, or would you say it's a good ideal as long as the car was in good nick?
Thanks man
Calv do you have a video coming up soon with the e46 m3 wagon?
I need a reliable family car with a bit of go in it for £1600 by next week what would you buy or suggest?
Hey I am just like you bought a high mile high spec car but it was worth it! I serviced it done few bits and its spot on even wear and tear was not bad so happy price was really good and i did not have any problems with it as long as everything is done on time !
That’s a perfect example. Some of them can turn out to be really good experiences for people 👌
Cold weather package is the washers for the headlights.
Loving the content recently calv! And nice to see a weekday video back, absolutely lost during the week 😅
What app does he use for hpi check?
Excellent video as always Calv. Got a question here, on HPI checks etc what is DVLA millage? I've not been able to find out exactly who enters it besides it's entered by the general public
Dvla mileage is when it enters auction, or when you fill in the logbook it has a section for mileage and people fill it in that’s where they get the information.
Calv i agree i love buying high kms and finding that perfect high km car then telling everyone about how good it is !!
What’s the price on this Calvin, as I’m very interested?!!!
Can’t remember when in the video but pretty sure he said about £15.k
@@ada-ey3xd must have missed that bit😉😉
Has it been well serviced? Modern cars seem to be designed to do 100k miles over ten years, then they're virtually worthless.
Cars can go forever if you look after them correctly, my mondeo is on 204,000 and drives with no fault and still pulls
