Sony a6700 HONEST Review - Is it a good travel camera?

- Are you looking for a lightweight travel camera that won’t break the bank, but still give you professional-quality photos? In this video, I’ll share my honest review of the Sony a6700. I used it as a travel camera on my 40-day backpacking trip across the north of Spain, and I have a lot of thoughts. I’ll also show you my real-life footage and photos I shot with it!

Great video Jen! The A6700 is a remarkable camera. You're on a path and Sony is a very good one. The Fuji X100 is overhyped (although a great camera) but the Sony is miles above when it comes to what's under the hood. Also, and this is personal, I think the Sony A6000 series are beautifully understated in their design. I love the A6700. It's got an industrial revolution look. If you update Lightroom, it will recognize your camera. Keep it going Jen, you've got talent.

The XS20 competes better against the a6700 instead of the x100. I have zero interest in the x100
Wait until you get a lens that isn't that kit lens. While good to learn on its with better lenses that it will really shine.

Oh, one other point, get a peak design capture clip (no more digging into he bag!. Easily the best accessory I own.

a solution to the fujifilm being sold out is to use some fuji presets to get close to the look they provide in camera.
it is a beast of a camera in comparison to X100v. Get a 18-50 2.8 Sigma and see the result.

Probably the Fuji xs20. However, that is not weathersealed like the a 6700@@jenontherunn
Now you are impressed, but wait untill You switch that kit to a better lens. X100v is a TikTok promoted toy compared to that Sony or even other Fuji cameras.

Thanks for this video review! I have the sony a6700 plus many lenses: 70-350mm, 18-135mm, sigma 30mm, and sony 11mm. I do NOT recommend this camera for travelers who are not serious about photography and just want nice pics of their vacations, travels, etc. The camera and lenses are simply too big and heavy, too delicate. Nope, get the TOUGH T5, or the Sony RX 7...why? Because these are true travel, tiny cameras. Get earlier versions of the RX 7 for 3-$500 dollars, and the TOUGH cameras are waterproof and rugged.
That’s a fair point! For my purposes and for people who have a bit of photography experience under their belt, the a6700 is a great fit. For someone who’s a beginner, something else as you suggested may be the better fit. 🌟
