This man is one of my all time favorites! Holly Holy, Soolaimon, Brother Love's Travelin' Salvation Show, I Am, I Said, Stones, Shilo, Play Me, Red Red Wine, Thank The Lord for the Nighttime, America and more. He's amazing.
Listen to "I am I Said". Listen to "Sweet Caroline" "Cherry Cherry" "Solitary Man"....there are so many. He wrote for many other acts. There is so much information out there. You are lucky that you can just find out anything you want. I enjoy your reactions. By the way, the record is sung faster! And it does not cut off like that!
I love Solitary Man. ua-cam.com/video/EAtwg1BwKek/v-deo.html But it's "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon" that sends a young teenaged girl over the edge. OMG. :) ua-cam.com/video/vRLBdOr1eZo/v-deo.html
My favorite Neil Diamond song is "Solitary Man." I've read that Neil Diamond went to high school with Barbra Streisand and they sang in choir together.
Neil Diamond is a national treasure. He put on a spectacular concerts back in the day. His discography is extensive. Please react to "Sweet Caroline" and his duet with Barbara Streisand, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" ❤️
I cant think of any bad songs on any of his albums. He is a a National Treasure. He has some very deep songs of lost love, and then lots of fun songs too. Stones, from the album of the same name, is incredible. I cannot listen to Neil Diamond without having memories of my late godfather come washing across my mind like a wave runs up a beach. He introduced me to Neil Diamond, we spent hours listening to his music on Kens then state of the art Sansui amp and Gerrard Turntable, through Bose 901 speakers. Those hours are fond memories, and he made it so that system came to me when he departed this earth. I am having the Sansui restored right now. The turntable has been freshened and the Speakers are waiting. And...it will be Neil Diamond that comes out of that system when it comes to life again. Thank you Kenny, for all the time you gave to me. You will live in my heart as long as their is breath in my body.
This is one of his songs that makes you gently rock back and forth. Try "Holly Holy", the live version. You'll be entranced by it and he oozes passion.
He is a Legend. He was probably the biggest star in the 70s. Elvis and the Beatles in the 60s. But he was the biggest solo selling artist in the 70s and even the biggest selling solo artist throughout the 80s believe it or not, the record for most sell out concerts. His music catalogue is very dynamic covering many genres, but his voice is his best asset... Many Songs to hear my pal
Neil Diamond is one of the greatest artists/ musicians of all time, in my opinion. I love his voice and the songs he sings are so beautiful. I have many of his records, my favorite being " Hot August Night" . Thank you for sharing your reactions to this song, I enjoyed very much.
Neil is the best easy sing-along artist ever among other great qualities! His deep rich voice with musical accompaniment makes his music stand out from other artists. Love it!
Really Smart How do you find these lovely hidden gems? It’s precious how shy Henry Winkler looks in real life. 😍 Was that beautiful blonde lady at 2.38 ONJ? 💖💖💖
Choose any song from his Album “HOT AUGUST NIGHT” and you can’t go wrong... This is when his voice and his confidence was at its best... (possibly just me that thinks that though)... x
@Libby Bullock You aren't alone. The last time I saw him in concert, he was celebrating 40 years of Hot August Night. He still had the pipes. Holly Holy is one of my favorites on that album.
Valerie Boyco.......... You’d already sogged -up a whole plate of potato chips, but the management didn’t mind because you were a regular customer...💖💖👍👍💖💖
Neil Diamond and Shirley Bassey singing "Play Me", absolutely sizzles, the chemistry between them is red hot 💥💥, somebody needed to throw a bucket of water over them 😳😳😳😳
When Neil Diamond played The Last Waltz concert with The Band he came out & said.... " I'm only gonna play one song for you tonight but....... I'm gonna play it GOOD" This is a great song that starts slow and builds tempo and at the he's got the whole audience eating out of his hands 😎🎙 Neil Diamond Dry Your Eyes ( 76' live ) From The Last Waltz concert ✌😎 This is a must watch video from.. Neil Diamond & The Band !
Neil totally has it going on. Straight up talent...born with music in him that he has had to express for over 50 years. A living legend. Totally love Neil.
I love everything by Neil Diamond. Just an amazing talent. Was fortunate to see him in concert and one of the best concerts I’d ever been to, and I have been to a LOT. Please react to Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show.
Neil Diamond has tons of hit songs and I was privileged to see him in concert twice. You need to react to “America”, “Solitary Man”, “Love on the Rocks”, “Shilo”, “Sweet Caroline” plus many more. He is just wonderful. 🥰🥰🥰
Not Neil’s best imo, but his voice is great no matter what. This is very old school. Please listen to: 🌹 You Don’t Bring Me Flowers Anymore (duet with Barbra Streisand) 🎤 “Hello Again” is another great one.
This song was on the radio at the same time as a song by Albert Hammond called 'It Never Rains in Southern California'.....and it's still stuck in my head!
Holly holy ❤I am,I said❤ always relate to this song Play Me ❤❤❤❤❤ best lyrics 🥰 You are the words. I am the tune ... you are the sun ,I am the moon.....play me 💋
As I have said before he is a legend, that voice is so smooth, he wrote so many songs, when you hear his music you calm down and just listen and chill out 😉😀☺😊🤗☺🤗🤩.
It took me all of 5 seconds, to put a like on it. I like Neil and respect this man. Ok not the world’s greatest range, but what you get is silky smooth, love the guy.
Neil had more great songs that were so easy to sing along too. He is said to be the best live act. He always gave audiences way more than they were expecting. This is one of my top 5 Diamond songs. Brother Love's Travelin Salvation Show...Coming To America...I Am I Said...Shiloh. Only scratching the surface here...any of his hits are great for me. Nice reaction J. Wish you could have seen one of his concerts back in the day. He was awesome.
As with a lot of other live performances, you need to go back and hear the studio cut. You really can't go wrong with a Neil Diamond song. His voice is incredible.
Honestly Jayvee, Neil Diamond could speak the words to his songs just like a normal conversation and it will be a hit. Just hearing him speak you can tell you're in for a treat.
Neil Diamond has sold over 100 million records world wide, he is loved all around the world, back in the day people would say he was the Jewish Elvis Presley, not at all politically correct to say the least, but never the less that is part of his history.
Oh my....I spent high school in 1967-1970 and the rest of my life loving Neil Diamond. Please, please please react to "I am, I said" my angst song for 50+ years... .
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show, that's a great one from the old days about those old time revival tent meetings that used to move from town to town. He really gets worked up in that one, just like those old-fashioned revival preachers! It's a great song and showcases how growly his voice can get, ha!.
Love Neil Diamonds voice. Great memories. My dad had all his albums when I was growing up and I saw him in concert with my mom. So many good songs. "I Am I said" is a favorite.
One of my fave movie soundtracks from old is "Jonathan Livingston Seagull", Neil Diamond wrote and sang the whole soundtrack and it has some very spiritual, emotional songs with gorgeous music. A bit different from his usual albums but worth a listen. Used to be my fave night time listening album way back in my high school days! Here is one song, "Dear Father" from the movie, the video with it is actually from the movie itself. ua-cam.com/video/qDbToBxhZUo/v-deo.html And another melancholy, gorgeous song from the film, this one is "Lonely Looking Sky". ua-cam.com/video/o3UXV0crbOk/v-deo.html
Neil Diamond has some of the best sing-along songs, ever.
Sure right there, very well put.
My friends and I used to drive around belting out his songs when I was back in college !!
Truth
"Sweet Caroline, ... bah, bah, bah ...!" You can't help but sing that.
You should listen to America by Neil Diamond. Will bring tears to your eyes.
That is a great one for sure.
Absolutely. I was going to recommend it as well.
Yes, I love it and he performs it in the movies The Jazz Singer. Awesome
Leah. I do cry everytime. So true!
They play that at every 4th of July celebration now. And why not? It would make a better national anthem than Star Spangled Banner.
I AM I SAID is my fave song by him ,grt ballad
If your heart is torn between two places this song pulls your heart strings. California/Arkansas
Ditto
Neil is a legend, I have listened to his music for 50 plus years.
"I Am, I Said" "America"

I'll add "Play Me" to that list.

He also should listen to Johnny Cash's version of "Solitary Man".
Love Neil Diamond. Haven't heard this song in years. Thank YOU!!!!!
Javon: Give a listen to "Solitary Man". It is probably his biggest hit, (if not "Sweet Caroline").
I love Solitary Man. ua-cam.com/video/EAtwg1BwKek/v-deo.html

neil's "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show" captures a great sense of place and building tension just like a old-time preacher in a revival tent.
"Coming To America", is a good one, too.
I cant think of any bad songs on any of his albums. He is a a National Treasure. He has some very deep songs of lost love, and then lots of fun songs too. Stones, from the album of the same name, is incredible.

"You don't bring me flowers any more ".- another classic sung with Barbara Streisand.
This is one of his songs that makes you gently rock back and forth. Try "Holly Holy", the live version. You'll be entranced by it and he oozes passion.
Yer the live version at the BBC is great.
That is good live.
Forgot this one!
Neil Diamond has that velvet voice. Amazing singer/song writer

He wasn't quite the best selling 70s solo artist. That was Elton John. Neil was up there though.
Neil Diamond is one of the greatest artists/ musicians of all time, in my opinion. I love his voice and the songs he sings are so beautiful. I have many of his records, my favorite being " Hot August Night" . Thank you for sharing your reactions to this song, I enjoyed very much.

My parents are extreme Neil fans and I grew up listening to him a lot. He is great! I think my favorite is Cracklin' Rosie.
Cracklin Rosie is a gem.
Neil's an iconic singer
Neil wrote the songs, the music, put together all of the arrangements, then fronted it all with his guitar and voice. He is a great all round talent.

Fun Fact: This song, written by Neil Diamond, was inspired by the second movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto #2.
Love on the rocks!!!!! Neil diamond. Great song!!
He has a huge library, (he wrote hit songs for The Monkees and The Partridge Family), and had albums worth of his own hits.
