@@stefanmzenhardt2891 I am from Nuremberg as well (even though living abroad for many years). But yes, I agree, it is not a big thing in Nbg at all. I also just stumbled over it randomly some years ago.
In a smaller german town, Schwäbisch Gmünd, the new public open air bath is named after Bud Spencer for may be ten years. As a young man , under his real name Carlo Pedersoli , he took part in a german/ italian swimming competition as member of italian team in then existing bath of the town.
That's because the German translation/interpretation of his movies is exceptionally good. I don't speak Italian but I've seen most of his movies that were filmed in English in the original version as well as the dubbed German version. The German versions are practically completely different movies. I don't like to watch dubbed movies and usually before watching a movie in a dubbed version I rather don't watch it at all. But the German versions of his movies are brilliant. So much better and funnier than at least the English originals. Whenever I watch one of his movies one quote from a completely different movie genre comes to my mind: "You've not experienced Shakespeare until you have read him in the original Klingon". Makes perfect sense now: you've not experienced a Bud Spencer movie until you've seen it in the original German version. 😂
His film partner Terence Hill speaks German. Terence Hill's mother came from Dresden and his grandmother from Bavaria. Until the age of six he only spoke German. Terence Hill has Italian, US and -German- citizenship!
He didn't say much, while his accent and intonation are really impressive, even with the few words he spoke, I can already tell that he would be pausing a lot while speaking about more complicated stuff (like with me )
Sandra Bullock and Mark Strong were clearly the best speakers, but that's not surprising since both have a parent from Germany (Edit: Strong's father is of course from Austria and not Germany). You can still hear their dialect relatively clearly, but in one or two sentences they almost sound like native speakers. Considering that he only learned it through singing and acting, Christopher Lee's German was pretty good.
Ooooooh, there is actually a pretty strong theory that Christopher Lee was that good in German, because he was not only an activice soldier but - most specifiically - a German translator, for Britain in WW2. How true that is I don't know. He seems always pretty reluctant to speak in German though. And interestingly (unrelated) enough, he knew exactly that men don't scream when getting stabbed in the back (like in his Saruman role where he argued with Peter Jackson about that scene). That man has clearly seen some things in his life. That much can be said.
I have to admit I still need to watch the entire video but Sandra Bullock's German was pretty good and yes I'm a fluent German speaker. edit: I did watch the entire video by now and I would say Sandra Bullock 1st Place, Mark Strong Second even tho he emitted his German might not be so good and third and final place Christopher Lee he also mentioned that his German was not that good but the bits of German he spoke was actually pretty good.
Christopher Lees German was good enough that he was able to synchronize himself in the German version of The Last Unicorn without much of an accent. The guy was absolutely amazing. Bud Spencer learned German when he was a child because he had a German nanny, but he was not really fluent. Donna Summers German is really really good, you hear she‘s not native, but she‘s a fluent speaker.
Mark Strong sounds like a native German speaker, and an educated one at that. I've always liked Sandra Bullock, but hearing her speak with that beautiful soft Franconian accent makes my heart melt.
Leos mother is german and he regularly visited his granny whilst she was still alive. But his German seems to have lacked a bit. Mark Stron and Sandra Bullock are very good German speakers, very fluent with not to much of an English accent. Sandra in fact has a bit of an "fränkischen" accent when speaking German, which is quite natural since she grew up in or near Nuremberg, where this is the local tongue.
Leo only had to speak German, when he visited his grandparents in Germany as far as I know. His German used to be good enough to converse with the elder German neighbors, who didn’t speak a word of English.
I'm sorry but if you aren't german yourself you cannot tell how good someone's accent is. To my native ears it's still clear that he is no native speaker. Not even close.
Sandra Bullock grew up in germany and didn't leave until after the age of 12. She is a native speaker and only makes the few mistakes that people make when they haven't spoken their mother tongue for years. She said "Sprache" instead of "Rede" and made one der/die/das mistake. Amazingly, her voice sounds even more attractive / sexy in german than in english. She's a peach... ♥️♥️♥️
Honestly looks and sounds (from his voice) like someone who'd appear in some German crime drama. And since I didn't know that name fit his face, you could have told me he was some German actor and I would have believed it.
@@p.f.5718 austrian is not german- total diffrent Dialekt and a lot of diffrent words. Its like i would say British english and US English is the same.. Schluchtenscheisser - I didn’t know this 😂 There are dialects like vorarlbergerisch or strong corinthian and so on I don’t also understand or even hardly. But a bavarian brother talks the very same way like me as an Upper Austrian. And vienna is a mix of many dialects with a big influence of czech pronunciation. Wow, Mark Strong came so unexpected! I agree, he speaks very confident and from this short cutout I’d say he’s on a native level. Also as you said the tone of his voice sounds absolutely German!
Sandra Bullock = sounds native, little southern German Christopher Lee = British accent Donna Summer = American accent Bud Spencer = Italian accent Jorge Bergolio = some undefined mediterranen romanic accent John Kerry = said to less to identify details on accent Chris Pratt = sounds like Elon Musk speaking German Novak Djokovic = Slavic accent Pep Guardiola = sounds like Arabian accent, although he is Spanish Mark Strong = sounds nearly native German, but little undefined accent Leonardo Di Caprio = strong American accent
Sandra Bullock and Mark Strong sounded like native speakers with regional accents. Though you could tell that Sandra speaks English on a daily basis, because she struggled with some words and literally translated some English terms into German. Even though Mark said his German was rusty, to me he just sounded totally German. I found Donna Summer's German great, too. She has an American accent and you can tell German is not her native language, but I think she would get along really well in German speaking countries. About "deutsche Familie": she said that she met many, many people (in Germany) who are now her German family. Christopher Lee was great, too. I'm always totally fascinated with (some) British people speaking German, because not only do they suddenly sound totally different, but also just like someone who could be your German neighbour (with an English accent).😅 John Kerry did good, too. The others were ok. Yes, The pope obviously just read from a paper and tried to pronounce everthing correctly.
Sandra even has a southern german "fränkischen" dialect. Sandra hat sogar einen fränkischen Dialekt. at 0:50 she confuses " das" with "der" her only mistake.
German requires discipline and is easy for those who love the culture, for those who are just curious don't learn it, now for those who are motivated, learning German is fun, and it is an allophonic language and can be hard and can be delicate and loving as well. I have listened to many audios in German and the pronunciation was even more charming and delicate than French, I relistened the audios about 5 times to believe and understand that I was listening to German and not French or another language. Thanks @vanessakuenzel for motivating to learn german 💋💋💋💋 you're cute 🥰💋💋🌹
@@TuaTeMauAkauAtea aww thank 🙏😚💜❤❤❤💋💋💋💋 well, it sounds that you're very interested in learning German 👍😊 may I ask you about the topics they talking about in your audio? Do you understand it well or are there still some difficult words? How does your interest in German comes from?
Christopher Lee (RIP) was a member of the British Intelligence Services during WW II. Although he says he never studied German I'm sure he knew how to use it. 🤭
Sandra's accent was close to perfect - she did have a glitch at the end but all in all VERY good. Novak Djorkovic actually said in that interview, that he had lived in Munich for 3 to 4 years while training with Nicki Pilic. Pep Guardiola had a strong accent but A) for a Spaniard it's quite impressive and B) he impressed everybody at his first press conference, where he answered almost all of the questions in German.
Mark Strong is definetely no. 1 for me as a German ! Almost no accent at all, very fluent and convincing intonation. Where did he learn our language so well ? I am impressed ! 👍
That would be Sandra Bullock for me. Mark Strong was close second, Sandra's vocabulary was much more elaborate and the flow was better. German used to be my mother tongue, I can still speak and sound like Mark Strong, not Sandra Bullock
Bruce Willis can also speak German- he was born in Germany. Leos Grandma lived in Oer-Erkenschwick and he spent every summer with her. I think he would be fluently again, when he spends a time in Germany. Sandra Bullock is A+ with Sternchen--.she is really really good in speaking and understanding German. So funny to hear her talking German but not in her dubbing German voice.
"A+ with Sternchen" ist mal feinstes Denglisch :D no front, finds nur lustig! :-) und P.S.: ich komme aus Erkenschwick (lebe aber nicht mehr da) und kannte die Oma, weil die auf der gleichen Straße wie ich gewohnt hat :D
Sandra Bullock and Mark Strong could pass as native speakers, but given that both have parents who are native speakers, that's not too surprising, but it's very cool to see that both have kept up their proficiency with the language well enough even well into adulthood in English-speaking countries. I had seen versions of this video before, but not this specific one. Also Christopher Lee, being put on the spot at the red carpet there, probably also didn't want to mention that he learned some German during the War, but I also highly recommend the German dub of The Last Unicorn, where Lee also voiced King Haggard like he did in the English original. His voice always had so much gravitas.
As already someone mentionend: Sandra Bullocks mother is german and Sandra herself lived in Germany until she was 12 and moved to the US. Almost the same with Leonardo Dicaprio - his mother is german, too. If I remeber it right, his father is an american, but his roots are german and italien. That's probably why Leo is so cute! XD ^^+gg Btw: Beside Bud Spencer speaking german ... his mate, Terence Hill, has a german passport as his mother was german. Until the age of six, Terence only knew and spoke german ... he grew up with german(s)!
Christopher Lee was moderate about his German speaking skills - and he spoke a lot of languages. He was with the SAS in special operations in WWII in Germany. Though he never studied German in school or at university, he probably needed to speak German back then to accomplish his missions. In the bonus material of Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers he told Peter Jackson what sound a person makes that is stabbed in the back ... I never knew Mark Strong grew up in Germany. His German amazed me. He's speaking fluently and his accent is even better than Sandra Bullock's.
According to the german wikipedia Mark Strong didn't grow up in Germany, he grew up in England. He only spent a year in Germany when he studied law at a university in Munich. But I read in another comment that his father (Italian) left the family and he grew up with his mother (Austrian), so he probably only spoke German at home.
Buds Spencer a hero from the spaghetti western era: "god forgives I don't" is a great movie! Buds Spencer and Terence Hill are legends in Germany in particular. I recently visited his grave in the cimetero IL verano in Rome... 🌹
Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were well known actors for ‚italy Western‘ in the 70ths and 80ths. Bud Spencer (Carlo Pedersoli) was also famous swimmer and took place in the Olympic Games in 1952 and 1956 (Helsinki and Melbourne)
Geesh, Bud Spencer is still my childhood fun hero, now I'm hungry for chili con carne fresh from pan. Sandra's german speak is not a surprise, because her mother was a German opera singer and Donna Summer started her career in Germany.
I think most of the times it was baked beens. 😋 And, yes, that's the reason I always have a can of baked beens in my pantry. You never know when you're in the mood for a decades old Bud Spencer movie. As soon as there's a pan of baked beens on the screen, I'm off to the kitchen. Because that's the decent way to watch a Bud Spencer movie. 😂 I think I'm in the mood for Banana Joe right now... 🤣
You gotta love Bud Spencers reaction to when he is told, he is one of the biggest film stars in the world. He replied "Yes, exactly. I'm nearly 2 meters high."
Sandra Bullock is speaking with a Middle franconian Accent :) and we use to roll the R very much which she does also. Sir Christopher Lee actually did voice King Lear in "The last unicorn" in German too (also a thing i didn't know until i heard him speak/Sing German for "Wizards Dream" single from Rhapsody of fire which exists in several languages)

Once a big compliment to you. You are very pleasant. Many Americans who also react to German videos and deal with it are completely exaggerated, mendacious, do not really mean it honestly, do not really want to know anything about the country but just want clicks. With you, you realize that you really care, and that you are very respectful. I find it exciting that you can understand the key statements of the people without subtitles, although many speak very broken and poor German.😄👍

DiCaprio's mother is German, his father (US-American) has Italo-German ancestors. (Wiki) Donna Summer began her career in Germany and lived there and in Austria from 1968 to 1976. (Wiki) Pope Francis received a doctorate 1986 in Frankfurt, Germany, he visited a German course there. (Wiki) Mark Strong has a Austrian mother, speaks German fluently and studied law in Munich for one year. (Wiki) There's another video on YT, where Kirsten Dunst, Peter Ustinov, Henry Kissinger and Terence Hill spoke German.
Henry Kissinger and Terence Hill are both native speakers of German (Terence Hill even has the German citizenship, though only since 2022), Kirsten Dunst has a German father. And Sir Peter Ustinov was just very talented at langauges, I guess. He would also usually speak his own role in the German and French versions of his movies.
Sir Peter was incredibly intelligent and spoke at least eight languages fluently. Four, however, already due to his origins. His grandfather was a German of Russian descent, his grandmother had German and Senegalese roots (which was a French colony at the time). He was born in England, but at that time his father was a German diplomat. Only when his father refused to produce an Aryan certificate in 1935 (which would have revealed that his mother was not only half Senegalese, but also half Jewish) was he dismissed from the civil service and emigrated with his family to England. As a result, Sir Peter learned German, French and Russian from his father in his youth, in addition to English.
Sir Peter Ustinov did many interviews in German, almost fluently with a pretty small accent. In one of those interviews he told, that he had a german nanny. So if he told the truth there, this certainly would have helped him to get an easier access to the German language.@@arthur_p_dent
@@the_tabulatorSo was Leo’s mother, Irmelin. Irmelin was full blooded German as well, born and raised. She came over after WW2. So Leo got German training full time at home growing up. His mother taught him both, English and German. But that’s also probably why Leo is so hesitant to speak it in public. He has to be persuaded to speak German in interviews. It’s like he doesn’t want anyone to know he’s bilingual.
As a german I would say that Mark Strong takes the cake here because not only does he speak this foreign language pretty fast but also for the specific reason that he speaks it with almost no accent. He put in some kind of humour as well which requires an advanced knowledge of a language in general. Sandra Bullocks speech was also pretty good but like you already pointed out she might have practiced her speech before so its kinda prepared sentences.
Sandra Bullocks German is very good. Christopher Lee was really okay. Donna Summer has a good vocabulary, but has problems with the grammar. Bud Specer had enough German to get by. The Pope has studied for some time in Germany, his pronunciation is horrible. Chris Pratt was okay too. Djokovic didn’t have a good teacher it seems, at least not for pronunciation. Pep Guardiola should definitely had taken a language course before going to Bavara. Mark Strong was really good. But his mother is Austrian, so I guess he was brought up bilingual. Leo seems to understand more than he can speak. Mark Strong and Sandra Bullock were the best
Leonardo di Caprio has a German mother. His grandmother lived in Germany. Terrence Hill also had a German mother. He also speaks German. As a child he lived near Dresden for a few years and saw the bombing of Dresden at the time.
Mark Strong's German was the absolute best! Very fluent with lots of difficult vocabulary. Sandra Bullock's was a close second. I think if she hadn't been in that situation of accepting an award, in all that stress, she would have probably spoken even better. But Mark really blew me away!
Leonardo actually grew up visiting his german grandmother in a small city here. And Sandra Bullock grew up in germany. In her movie Oceans 8 she actually has a very short german line with Heidi Klum, the german supermodel that makes a cameo appearance.
Donna Summer’s first husband was Austrian and she lived in Munich and Vienna for several years. Definitely not a native speaker but she has a strong command of the language for sure
Sandra Bullock spend the first 12 years living in Germany with a German mother, so she's basically a native speaker. Her German is VERY good and has that distinctive "fränkisch" accent. Judging from the footage Mark Strong is probably a fluent speaker of German language, as he has only a slight accent, that I might even have missed if I didn't knew who he was. These two are probably the ones who are the most confident and capable speakers of German language amongst the shown celebrities in this video.
I guess you didn’t include him but Peter Ustinov spoke very good German. My husband is German, he met Ustinov once and said his German was perfect. He spoke at least French and Russian too.
I love your Scottish accent. I just discovered your channel and I too like to listen to people speaking different languages than what I'm accustomed to hearing them speak. I already knew that Sandra Bullock was fluent in German, but Christopher Lee and Donna Summer really surprised me.
Leo: "My grandma is from a small town two hours away from Düsseldorf." The whole Ruhrgebiet, Cologne, Bonn and other major cities are in that range!!! :)
I was raised in a big Multicultural area of Sydney. It was my job in grade school to teach new Australian’s English so I speak a little of a lot of language’s. I didn’t realise I still knew much until I went to an Italian page and I realised about halfway through a post I was reading Italian and turning it to English. I taught my first daughter to count in 4 languages at two years old and to speak many words in those languages. She was very bright and started school at 4. I got a letter asking me to come in as my daughter was stupid and couldn’t speak properly. I love those kinds of notes. I arrived and my daughter was alone with her teacher as it was lunchtime. She told her to count to 10 and she did perfectly in German. Then I told her in Italian to do it again in Italian, she did. Then I looked at her teacher and told her to ask in English or French because she had already done it perfectly in German and Italian. Teacher was really sorry. Now her daughter who is about to complete her Masters degree as a research Scientist and has taught 3rd year Biology and Chemistry while she was doing it. Besides her Bachelor’s and Honours Degree her reseach will not be funded by Australia so she must work overseas. She also got separate degree’s in Biology and German and Germany have just made an offer for her. She has already been published last year but we have to let her go. My two youngest grandchildren who just turned 16 and 17 are both fluent in three languages. They use them when they don’t want their parents to understand. They speak English, French and their favourite because most of the world don’t speak it is Canadian Inuit or what we called Eskimo. They went to school on the Polar Cap. There wasn’t an English school. They make me laugh. I think my grandchildren are more entertaining than that video.😂
I was born in Italy and my ex Wife of 23 yrs. Was born in Germany. I allways loved Foreign languages our tree children had good opportunity to learn Italian and German but in the early seventies for some reason it was frownd opon to speak another language. So my Ex Wife and I thought we would be wasting our time. My partner speaks 4 languages we can go anywhere in the world and not have a language problem.
For a Scottsman you’re pretty easy understandable. But then again, the scottish accent always sounds warm and pleasant. Bud Spencer was an Olympic swimmer, which is much more impressive than his German (though it is always likable when some foreigner speaks the language of the country he is currently in, or at least tries it). Sandra Bullock grew up in Germany as far as I know, at least in parts.
I am impressed by the tennis player. Learning German in just 3-4 years in school and sound this good. He must be either a very good student or his school was damn good in teaching or both cause I see it every day here in Germany how hard our language is to learn for everyone. Even Germans sometimes ruin our language 😂😂and Mark Strong was impressively good. He spoke so easy and comfy, really surprised me 😍

Henry Alfred Kissinger (* 27. Mai 1923 in Fürth, GE) is currently celebrating his 100th birthday in his birthplace Fürth and received a Bavarian award. He was United States Secretary of State from 1973 to 1977.
Mark Strong did by far the best. His german was very solid! The words he chose, the pronounciation. Judging from the short clip he speaks better german then many people that live here for decades. Also Christopher Lee was a nice showcase. It was noticable that he may not have the highest word count but his pronounciation is very close to perfect. Respect for someone who only occasionaly dealt with this language. I also liked Donna Summer. Her german was not the best but she used handpicked words (Not just a set of common phrases) and what she said was coherent. She talked about Munich so I guess she is on her very own journey to learn german. Ofcourse repect to all others but those 3 stick out to me.
Sandra Bullock gave me one of the biggest mindfucks ever. Being used to watch her on tv with her German dubbing voice, but then see this clip for the first time years ago hearing her speak almost perfect (she only used a wrong pronoun once) German even with Bavarian or Munich dialect, that was a thing my brain didn’t compute
German here. 😛 I was blown away by Mark Strong! Such a fantastic actor and I never knew he spoke German. And he did so fluently and almost without an accent. Very impressive!
😍 oh my gosh! I am German and I almost fell in love hearing Sandra speaking my language. It was almost perfect, sooo nice and cute, wow! I loved it. Yes, and Leo.. well I don't fall in love jejeje but I have heard that he have German roots also.
His grandparents did not live in Düsseldorf. They lived (from the early 1980‘s until their respective deaths) in a small town called Oer-Erkenschwick (about 45 minutes to an hour from Düsseldorf).
Sandra and Mark for sure. To us they sound like native speakers who may have lived abroad for a few years, so the vocal color is a few percent off here and there, but the order of words in sentences is correct, the melody of their speech is spot on.
Mark Strong's german language skills are tremendous!!! He sounds native german except the moment, where he starts to say "Auf der Schule wächst man auf...". It should be instead "In der Schule.." 😉 But all in all impressive
Sandra is half German and grew up here, Donna Summer had a German boyfriend and lived in Munich for several years. Leonardo Di caprio is half German as well, his moms side and he often visited his German grandma near Cologne.
Leonardo’s German used to be quite good as a kid, and he visited his grandmother often. I remember him taking part in a breakdance contest one summer back in the 80’s while there which he won. His grandmother died in 2008 and that’s the last time he visited the village she lived him. I guess speaking German only when visiting his grandmother, and the fact that his mother didn’t bother to raise him bilingually are the reasons why Leonardo’s German isn’t as good as for example Sandra’s. Another actress who speaks excellent German is Rebecca de Mornay, btw.
English and German were and still are compulsory in elementary and in middle schools here in Serbia as it was (and probably still is) for all the rest of former Yugoslavia republics, followed by Russian on the distant third place.
Sandra Bullock is a native speaker, she grew up in Northern Bavaria. She hardly has any accent, over the years some little grammar errors have slipped in. Mar Strong also spoke with absolutely no accent, completely fluent. Leo's German comes from his ancestry - his grandma is from the Rhineland area in Western Germany
Christopher Lee impressed me the most. He never studied/learned to speak German, as he said. But what he said was perfect and almost without any accent!
Donna Summer worked from 1968 to 1974 - that was before Giorgio Moroder, in other various German productions - she was a member of Muscial Hair in Germany. There she had already sung music titles in German in 1968 as a 19-year-old. From 1968 to 1974 she continued to learn German. Marry an Austrian - Fun Fact... His name was Sommer and that's how Donna Gaines got her name Sommer - Donna Summer. Work with Moroder only started in 1973!
Pep is the most extraordinary. He was just Bayern's manager for about 3 years and there was clear progress, from one press conference to the next. In the end you could tell he knew all 4 cases (the ones where the english speakers only have one 😁) and even took over the german pronounciation and melody quite well. You could still tell he is originally a spanish dude, but still that was super impressive and unlike anything, I've ever seen before. Mark Strong also super impressive, almost native. Apparently he has an Austrian mother, and tried to study law in munich... so that is not a surprise.
Wanted to write the same. Guardiolas german developed very soon after he took the Bayern job. he's very talented to learn languages in a short time. Do you remember how another Bayern coach tried to speak German? "Was erlauben Strunz? Hat gespielt wie Flasche leer!". Legendary speech also in german by Giovanni Trapattoni 🤣
@@janka248 Of course it's easy to compare Trapattoni (55 when becoming coach in Munich in 1994) and Guardiola (42 when coming to Munich in 2013). Guardiola kept speaking English in interviews with German journalists even after 2-3 years in Germany - so I wonder what anyone who sees an improvement/development in his skills relates to. Right now, Xabi Alonso as head coach of Leverkusen seems to do very much better!
If you dont know Bud Spencer, you missed some of the greatest part of german comedy. he might be italian movie artist but in the german synchronisation (dub) his movies got a legendary status that is kinda unreached even until today, while most of his movies are from the 70s and 80 in co-work with Terrence Hill.
Sandra Bullock`s family is from Germany - so she learned the language in childhood. Christopher Lee was singing and acting sometimes in german - so he learned the language quite a bit. Also the singer Milva from Italy learned german by singing in the language without really knowing what she was singing (just the "sound"). Donna Summer lived in Germany for many years because she had big success in Germany - much more than in her home country that time. So she learned the language quite a lot. She has no family in Germany - she said it was "like a family" living in Germany. Bud Spencer studied a little bit german as an Italian. And how great (for me) watching him with the dutch showmaster (whom I loved as a child) Rudi Carell! Leonardo di Caprio has also german roots with his family as far as I know. Also I know that Bruce Willis has german roots with his family. I like this video of yours - as a German! Thanks for it!
Bud Spencer was a famous Italian (he himself would have corrected me on that emphasising he wasn't Italian but Neapolitan 🙂) actor, professional swimmer and water polo player. His actual name was Carlo Pedersoli and he was known for action-comedy and Spaghetti Western roles with his long-time film partner and friend Terence Hill (Mario Girotti).
Sandra Bullock speaks the best German, almost without an accent. If she does, she has a Franconian accent, which is no wonder, because she lived in Nuremberg for 12 years.
Leo is actually a Berliner. He grew up with his Grandmother before moving to USA. Berliner is a highly German language therefore Leo is a German born actor. ♥️
Sandra Bullock has some flaws in her language - she's just Not used to. The next one has a lot of words missing. The same counts for Donna Summer a Lot of important filling words missing. Germans will recognise immediately. Bud Spencer hat viel vergessen 😂 Indeed very funny. Argentinien Pope: Its broken, but germans understand it's meaning John Kerry: Sehr gut :) Missed no words!!! The next one has a good understanding but he speaks a little bit 'accendic' 😂 Novak spricht gut deutsch, He Misses some filling words too. Just missed practicing. Pep Guardiola - Broken German, uncomftable for German. The next one speaks perfectly!!! Great pronouncination - By far the best in your video!!! Leonardo: Some flaws, Broken German, Strong english accent 😄 Yours Kai from Germany, (Native Speaker) 😂🎉

i died at " i never heard of Bud Spencer " that man was such a legend here in germany R.I.P.
Exactly. I feel the same.
But the voice? I wouldn't recognise that. Well, dubbing.
Christopher Lee was a highly intelligent man and a great actor who taught himself several languages. Brilliant!
He even did german synchro...e.g. for the Last unicorn.

No, there's no British accent at all. Maybe a slight German dialect.
Mark Strong's German is actually really perfect and accent free. Very impressive.
Yes, you are right. He speaks without any austrian slang. His mother is not from germany, she's from austria and his father is from italy. 😉
Mark Strong's German is as native as it gets. Absolutely accent-free.

I'm always totally fascinated with (some) British people speaking German, because not only do they suddenly sound totally different, but also just like someone who could be your German neighbour (with an English accent).😅
John Kerry did good, too. The others were ok. Yes, The pope obviously just read from a paper and tried to pronounce everthing correctly.

Until the age of six, Terence only knew and spoke german ... he grew up with german(s)!
How could he get a German passport? You're only German through the father. I have a German mother, and was informed of this by German authorities.
Most likely Christopher Lee has bad memories.

It’s like he doesn’t want anyone to know he’s bilingual.
As a german I would say that Mark Strong takes the cake here because not only does he speak this foreign language pretty fast but also for the specific reason that he speaks it with almost no accent.

Henry Alfred Kissinger (* 27. Mai 1923 in Fürth, GE) is currently celebrating his 100th birthday in his birthplace Fürth and received a Bavarian award.
He was United States Secretary of State from 1973 to 1977.
despite Lee saying he nver actually studied german his german is the best in the entire list
Mark Strong basically said in German: “I can say what I want, because most of the people won’t be able to understand what I’m saying anyway” 😂
Ofcourse repect to all others but those 3 stick out to me.
lol. sandras was the best.
Sandra Bullock gave me one of the biggest mindfucks ever.
Being used to watch her on tv with her German dubbing voice, but then see this clip for the first time years ago hearing her speak almost perfect (she only used a wrong pronoun once) German even with Bavarian or Munich dialect, that was a thing my brain didn’t compute
she speaks fränkisch, since she grew up around Nürnberg. Nothing “munich”-like about that
@@Folgemilch21 sorry my bad. Apologies for that
German here.
I loved Bud Spencer.
"you're one of the biggest filmstars today."
"yeah, i'm almost 2 metre."
i wheezed at that one haha
Leos mom is german, and he was spending every summer in Germany with his grandma in Düsseldorf
Donna Summer
spoke German, wow I wouldn't have thought that ❤ R.I.P.
Mark Strong's german language skills are tremendous!!! He sounds native german except the moment, where he starts to say "Auf der Schule wächst man auf...". It should be instead "In der Schule.." 😉
But all in all impressive
Giovanni Trappatoni is defintely missing here. I've heard he got famous in Ireland as well for his foreign language skills
Someone was missing Bruce Willis also speaks German and was born in Germany.
Sandra is obviously a native speaker - for extended vocabulary one simply has to live in a country (Germany) but her accent is clearly Deutsch!
Sandra Bullock's mom is German ,Leos grandmum is German , Donna Sommer was long time in München...
Donna Summer was recording with - I think - Giorgio Moroder in Munich.
Donna Summer was Married to Austria Actor for 40 years
Pep is the most extraordinary.
You should see the entire speech of Sandra Bullock with subtitles, she's so likeable.
While Terence Hill has been born in Dresden! *lol*
@@agn855 Wasn't he born in Venice?
Sandra Bullock speaks the best German, almost without an accent. If she does, she has a Franconian accent, which is no wonder, because she lived in Nuremberg for 12 years.
Sandra sounded nearly as good as a native speaker. She has German roots and you can hear that very clearly.
Bud Spencer hat viel vergessen 😂
Indeed very funny.
Argentinien Pope:
Its broken, but germans understand it's meaning
John Kerry: Sehr gut :) Missed no words!!!
The next one has a good understanding but he speaks a little bit 'accendic' 😂
Novak spricht gut deutsch, He Misses some filling words too. Just missed practicing.
Pep Guardiola - Broken German, uncomftable for German.
The next one speaks perfectly!!! Great pronouncination - By far the best in your video!!!
Leonardo: Some flaws, Broken German, Strong english accent 😄
Yours Kai from Germany, (Native Speaker) 😂🎉
really impressed by mark strongs german. it was almost perfect, barely any accent
Me as a german finding Mark is the most fluent german speaker.
Leos grandmother is German
She lived in the same city as my grandparents but I think she passed away :(
@@lucidalice5334Obviously, the guy is middle-aged, mid-40s: his grandma would need to be close to 100 years by now
It's somehow so cool to hear them all speak german (being german myself)
