- U.S. Marines and the US Navy test the new amphibious combat vehicle "ACV", with the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25), to assess and verify the Amphibious Combat Vehicle's ability to integrate with naval shipping as part of the vehicle’s developmental testing off the shore of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.
The Marines of AVTB are currently testing the Marine Corps’ newest amphibious vehicle, which will replace the Amphibious Assault Vehicle. This was the first time Marines have operated the new vehicle while boarding and departing a ship.

I am currently building the hulls for these! Love knowing the skills my hands possess keep our boys safe!
based on italian SuperAV ;)
These are IVECO Super AV. ITALIA...
Cool
É desse que o Brasil precisa
I dunno, it looks cool. Im a former hog driver. It’d be interesting to drive a wheeled vehicle aboard. It’s gonna be a little difficult to pack those things in without being able to pivot. Also, I guess trackers are gonna have to come up with something other than YAT-YAS, since they aren’t going to be tracked anymore.
I wonder if they'll make a tracked version?
It’s still YAT-YAS it’s tracs not tracks amtrac means amphibious tractor
@@TacticalMetalhead to make them with tracks we have to replace engine, wheels, transmissions, gears, everything. Adapt the hull and provide additional protection for the crew and the passengers.
Its an hell of a job and it will make the vehicle slower by a lot.
Moreover, it will cost a lot of money and the americans wants something fast, agile and cheap.
Marines cant take a vacation on a beach that can be targeted by enemy artillery.
They have to move fast out of the troubles and then be able to deploy and counterattack.
Next time we have to invade France these things will work out great! 😂
goddamn lol
Looking good so far?, Let's put them to the test
Imside the ship, they meed to do a 6 point turn 😆
wouldn't want to use them in a sea-state any worse than this ! there is hardly any hull above water . AMTRAC is designed to handle sea-state "up to 5" -----and one of those was lost just over a month ago ! You can be amphibious in the sense of crossing lakes and rivers , but being seaworthy is another matter . Semper Fi .
'fred Ted Stedman' ..... I was wondering if this ACV was the one that sank in San Clemente area.........I remember that, VERY Tragic.... From a Navy Veteran.....Semper Fidelis
@@Hey_MikeZeroEcho22P Wasn't that the AAV?
Appears the USMC is opting for "fair seas" maneuvers. What happens when the waves are above 5 feet?
EXACTLY !
In rough seas they get put on landing craft just like before with the LAV. The AAV had sea limitations too. Plus you test in calm seas FIRST, then move to the rough stuff- if you're smart
WOW look at the LAV, that fing thing can barely swim! Give me the EVF and you can keep the turtle.
Please add to Arma 3!
Dude. I've been saying that for years lol
Looks like a new version of the LAV
Yes I agree...... wheels. No more calling them Am-"Tracs"
NOVO VEÍCULO DÊ COMBATE ANFÍBIO DOS ESTADOS UNIDOS!
Holy shit that's a big APC. So, got this brand new wazzo, probably what, $ 2-3 million, more, ? with no back up camera??? Still making that poor ole Pvt. do it the hard way.
What happened to my P7,no more Tracks this suck
This thing is so slow...has propellers ..Russian version has water jets. Piece of garbage.
Its cheaper and more durable? I dont know why but why us marine use propeler like pindad anoa from indonesia?
Too slow in the water compared with EFV cancelled weihcle.......Russians better...
