ACV is an awesome vehicle
Cualquier de estos dos para la infantería de Marina Mexicana estaría de lujo!
Orales pués 🇨🇱
The UK should get there hands on AAV for the Royal Marines
OK----------- if you increase the length by 2 feet you can increase the load carrying capability for a 30mm turret.
Wow these look great, I hope the USMC upgrades them all
they are going with a low rate production,meaning about 400 units.If i
remember the fleet is about 1000 units. The SU upgrade is about a lil
over 1.5 M $ and this 2nd service life extension program will prolong
AAV7 service life to 2030 ,meaning a total service life of 62 years x
unit...
no good
Me gustaría verlo en la República Dominicana
3advorator YES more vehicles BUT less die/injured from a single hit. The key is to get a useful number ashore NOT to have a mobile "MULTI-COFFIN"
Is this a competitor BEA SYSTEM ?
Why none highlighted that the previous AAV7 RAMS had a full capacity load of 21 Marines ,while the current SU version only has six seats in two rows,it currently carry one third less the Marines than the RAMS,featuring a third row of seats in the center hull surface...You need a one third more vehicle to land on the beach to deploy the same number of marines...
Better armoured, survivability. It's not just a simple ship-to-shore platform, it must go further inland and help Marines carry out their missions beyond the shore. This means more threats from IEDs/mines and enemy infantry/armour. The platform will give the 12 marines a higher chance of survival rather than let 21 die in a less-capable platform.
Tedd, i can say i was into one of this bad boys when they still were
called LVT P7 back in 1990.Even now i'm not confident in the real
capability to give best survival chance to the crew.Yes the new armored
kit has increased protection and the underbelly blast mitigating system
gives a better chance against IED's but still a last generation RPG can
seriously hit and destroy an AAV7 even in the Su configuration.Reality
is this is a 44 years old platform and no matter what effort you can
put into it an aluminum hull, even with an armor kit it's just butter in a
critical scenario...definatly they need a different new platform...the
EVF was a serious attempt to create a such as platform...
3dvorator Do you know if they'll put a 30-40mm cannon/Javelins on this. I'm so sick of these Pea Shooters. In the future, if war broke out with China, Chinese IFVs have overwhelming firepower that can take this vehicle out in seconds.
@@3dvorator the whole purpose of the Ceramic armor was to defeat shaped charge projectiles the added benefit. since its ceramic... its lighter weight and brought back buoyancy.. the ceramics while i dont know for certain are pretty similar to the Ceramic armor inserts that makeup the m1 Abrams armor matrix of non energetic reactive armor (NERA) there's also quite a large airgap around the sides and front behind the armor further dissipating HEAT type of ammunition. but suffice to say..... i'd be confident operating this thing in a RPG environment or recoiless rifle, but ATGMs...... not much can withstand modern let alone late cold war era ATGMS.
The ACV doesn't swim very well, especially in rough sea's, plus the AAV is faster in the water. So what's the difference between the LAV and the ACV other than the 25mm main gun?
the ACV is a new program that can line someone's pockets with more money... the LAV and AAV have already done so kind of hard to do it not just once or twice but three times with one vehicle can't really get away with a 4th time.
THIS ! . . . is a "Real" MARINE vehicle ! . . . screw that "Wheeled Vehicle" ! ! !
Nice But Not All Country Can Afford That Specially In The PHILIPPINE
🇰🇭🇰🇭👍👍👍USA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️
Fleet
Yatyas
the chinese and russian both have the advantage on the amphibious arena...soz america,,,your going to get smoked :-D
Endless marketing vomit.
what a trash, Lockheed Martin new Amphibious Combat Vehicle 1.1 was much much better
and the Italian one ended up winning, get rekt
@@tHeWasTeDYouTh ... "Iveco, acronym for Industrial Vehicles Corporation, signed an agreement with BAE Systems to offer a proposal based on the Superav to the USMC for its Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) 1.1 programme. In June 2018 Iveco has been awarded the contract to deliver its amphibious platform to the US Marine Corps in partnership with BAE Systems."
Iveco's SuperAV was the basis for the Marine's ACV which BAE improved upon to meet the requirements of the U.S. Marine Corps.
This award-winning vehicle was a partnership between Iveco (Italian) and BAE (American). Nice partnership, non è vero?
Edited to remove unnecessary, blank lines which UA-cam automatically inserts. Ugh!
is it V hull to deflect blasts from IEDs?
. . . Yes !.
