I used to visit my grandpa in California when I was way young and everytime we went to the beach there was a aircraft carrier and landing amphibious ships. I thought it was so awesome!!! I now know he knew they were coming and planned the trip.

The Cummins 903 ci V - 8 diesel engine had a lot to do with the improvement of the LVT - P 7 . At about 500 horsepower it can move that thing right along , on
land , or in the water . The major rebuild was done by FMC Corp. at the facility in San Jose , CA .

There were obstacles so even if we did, we still would have had to drop the infantry off, they couldn't go all the way up the beach
Hell even just the Pacific Amtrack's would've been 10x better than the higgins landing craft..

You Aint Track You Aint Shit! My baby brother is a tracker. Finally got to see him for the holidays after 11 months. He's at Lejeune right now. Was at Pendleton before (hes a Hollywood marine). Hes than going to 29 palms in March for a month or 2 than shipping out to Japan. Couldn't be anymore prouder.
