We're so excited to finally be in Korea! 🇰🇷 over the next few weeks we'll be exploring the major cities of Seoul & Busan, as well as visiting the incredible Jeju Island, a UNESCO world heritage site!
Beautiful Korea
😍😍
Welcome 🙏 to my country, korea. It's always a lovely city, Seoul ❤ Korea 🇰🇷
I am so happy that you had a fantastic time in korea 🇰🇷 😊
Lovely city, Seoul ❤ right?😅
Thank you! Seoul is one of our favourite cities yet, we absolutely love it! Are you from Seoul? 😍
@@jamieandhannah_ Yes, I am Korean 😊
Hongdae is such a young neighborhood because it's a college town. The school's name is Hongik Daehakgyo (Hongik University). Koreans often abbreviate names/words by dropping syllables, so you end up with Hong(ik) dae(hakgyo), and then that becomes the colloquial name of the neighborhood(s) near and around the school. The Hongdae I knew in the '90s was a popular live music bar/club scene. Grunge, blues, and hard rock mostly, though I've seen techno there, too. Not sure how much of that is still around. Nor can I say when the area started transforming into what it is today. I didn't go there for a few years, and then one day I did and everything had changed. It has a very different vibe than it used to.
I hope you made a lot of lovely memory in korea
Thank you, it was an unforgettable place 😍
Welcome to Korea. The fried chicken is delicious, but I recommend trying mild and healthy traditional Korean food, Samgyetang(chicken ginseng soup), Kongguksu(Noodles in cold soybean soup), and seolleongtang(ox bone soup).
Thank you! 😊 Samgyetang sounds delicious!
Thanks for visit South Korea ❤
We really loved our trip, wish we had longer to explore more cities! One day we’ll come back 😊
Pie Republic is sub brand of Braai Republic (South African Restaurant) in Korea that its own by actual South Africans. FYI :)
