    Gotta say, historically the 2nd Punic War lasted 17 Years, even absent the major Roman setbacks I’d say you’re well on track to completing the conquest in that timeframe.

    Love this series so far, I'm exactly like you and am OCD with how I play this game, but I would really appreciate if you would be willing to make a tutorial video on how you RPFM to edit the city names in and also how you got carthage more regions aswell as Scipio in this video, I'm not as techy like that, but it really help. Keep up the awesome work!!!!!

    Not planned, but I’m currently listening to the History of Rome podcast by Mike Duncan and am on the episodes covering the Second Punic War. Very happy at this nice side by side, seeing as your trying to play historically accurate.

    Great vid as always. Had an idea that maybe when reforms approach if possible you could change the in game date so that it creates the impression that time has passed.

      That is modding. You use RPFM to edit the names of the settlements in the db tables.

    That is the best Roma series on DEI here in UA-cam, but about these scripted characters, there are others that appeared in certain considerations (like the Scipio Africanus that appeared in this episode), example: Makedonia expands and threatens the Roman processions in Epirus, you get Lucius Emilius Paulus, the future Macedonicus, or even Gaius Julius Caesar to conquer Gaul?

    Hello Summary! Could you tell me how I can change the names of the city's and province myself? Also, I would like to expand the amount of army and navy caps. It's quite low in the start of the campaign 😕 Lastly, I would like to have more units in a army. Not 41 😝 but I was thinking about 25 units. I hope I'm not intruding 😊 I'm already using quite the amount of submods that you are using yourself and it really gives character to the game 😄 Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next episode! 👍🏻

      I am not a computer expert but I do know I have a 3090 nVidia as far as graphics card is concerned. Think of the best available hardware for that year, 2020 and I have it. Been waiting a couple of years for the next gen, 5090 to release, before I invest in an upgrade. Plan to skip the 4090.

      Hey bruh, how are ya? Hope all is well.
      There are several tools I use to make such intros.
      (1) "Photoshop" to draw out the assets. Of course the map which is used by DEI is also drawn by me, upon the ATW map and customized for DEI R2TW settlements, roads, etc.
      (2) "Da Vinci Resolve" to move the assets around the map and to pan across the map, as well as zoom in and out.
      (3) "Adobe After Effects" to add some animation effects to the assets like the shatter effect of the defeat armies.

      No I do not have any videos nor plan on making any on how I make these. For this there are better people out there on UA-cam.

    With the 41 troops mod you made, can you control two reinforcing 41 unit stacks too?

      Nope the maximum allowed is 41 in a battle at any given time, the other 41 stack will enter only as their comrades route out of the battle zone.

      The glitch you mentioned for Panormus Akragas means it will crash? It just happened to me...

    How did you get Masaesyli to declare war against Carthage? They are always antagonistic towards me.

      Good question, when you make a lot of money, pay them for a non-aggression and then work your diplomatic rating of them towards a defensive alliance.
      Then when Carthage declares war on you, they will honor the call to arms. It takes money to secure the defensive alliance.

      City names is by modding the data files. The banner there is a submod on the workshop for 41 units army banners.

    I'm pretty sure its save game compatible but the dei settler mod is really helpful. It requires investment that makes it balanced to send population to new settlements

    What is the difficult you are playing, H/M? In others campaign with Roma on Legendary, minor factions like Helvetii (the littles factions generally) don't survive until the first ten years of the campaign, the major factions conquer all - for me, in that stage of the campaign, I prefer the map like that, with many independent factions instead of super-factions growing up in the first years if you player in Legendary.

      But I am using the realistic expansion submod. That prevents factions that didn't historically expand from expanding. In other words you won't see a super massive Iceni or anything like that.

    Man it'd be cool if it was possible to actually 100% copy the manipular legion layout. The unit sizes dont really reflect the actual maniples, and if you wanted to actually copy it you'd need quite a bit more than 41 units. 10 units each of 120 men for the hastati, principes, and velites, and then 10 units of 60 for the triarii. The equites are a bit more difficult because there'd be no more than 300 per army, usually half latin citizens and half Italian socii (this applies to all of the aforementioned classes except maybe the velites). Not sure how you would fit that in an appropriate unit size with the correct halves. Then you also had the Rorarii and the Accensi, essentially reserve troops who filled in gaps in the line. Total War mechanics just dont fully allow for the proper Manipular legion, sadly.

      And of course every legion was accompanied by a number of orderlies and support staff, which I suppose could be represented by the Baggage Train unit!

      @@francesconaim9429 the Legiones in Roma are referenced by thier number, I-X (above), the codnames Hispanica, Italica (etc) are consequences of his achieviments.
