I definitely enjoy the battles where players actually know what they're doing
not this one then...
@@findalin4857 why always so negative?
@@findalin4857bro thinks he is better than tournament players
I think where the attackers excelled most was their constant flanking maneuvers which broke a bunch of units
I’d love to see you bring back the series where you did battles with challenges, like when just used elephants and dogs. Would love to see a battle where you just use onagers and scorpions
3v3 are the best for tactics. 4v4 for cinema
Some of the most epic battles I’ve ever had was in Rome 2. The soundtracks, large numbers of units, more micro etc. As a kid I played the first Rome and sometimes kept the soundtrack going in the background.
Been watching you for years mate and still to this day I love your videos!! Love your humour!
Rome 2 is definitely my favorite battle wise. The way it looks. Just looks amd feels like raw combat that ypu would have experienced
There is a civil war game that can play pretty similar called Scourge of War. I don't know about individual regiments, but you can control brigades and have orders be dispatched by rider couriers. I think tgere's even a Saterloo version too.
I was hoping the defender gonna win.. but wow.. what a battle 😯
At first i wasn’t that interested in the fight but by the end i just couldn’t wait to see what happens! Close fight for sure!
Been watching for 7 years
I like the traditional battles but I do like the tournament battles because there are more complex tactics and strategy I do enjoy the chaos sometimes it is nice to see complex strategies and tactics
Verry enjoyable battle ! thanks for posting it...
Awesome Apollo 👌
7:07 Only game I know similar so would be Savage Resurrection. I'm sure there are a few out there, but this was the only one I remember.
The lore behind this is the Bactirans the Seleucids and the Egyptians have all brought there Hellenic armies together to retake their homeland. But Athens army is elsewhere so they use the money they have made from trading to higher the tylusians and the Carthaginians. They also call upon there ally Epirus to defend there great city. They all meet on the walls of Athens under the Parthenon
I love the tourney but also I missed the lower (not low skill but more casual) game play! Keep up the great content bro
There was a tv show that used TW that was set up as you described with a commander giving orders to 2 subordinates who moved the units. Spoilt mostly that they were totally unfamiliar with the game
Time commanders mate
I love the more tactical aspect of the tournament battles, each to there own. im going to assume that you had more negative comments about the last few tournament videos due to the fact there was a few videos in a row all on the same map, and with 'high level players' then they will all use the most optimal strat so they all end up being the same tactically. The outcome is just down to what factions were chosen.
anyway whay im trying to say is dont change what you do ❤ its perfect😊
Awesome video! I don't play the game, but I really enjoy watching competitive and fun games.
One question.......Do arrow towers do as much damage to pikes as normal slingers/archers? At the end of the video could the players backed up to the wall more to let the towers help them? Thanks for all the great videos
They don’t do as much damage because they fire singular arrows and the arrows do less damage, but over time it adds up so yes they could’ve backed up and used the arrow towers to help
They could have but they would’ve lost the victory point, that’s why they had to charge back in against the pikes at the end
Awesomeness as always :D
7:20 that sounds like bannerlord but like better 😂
Yesss new video
love the content apollo
7:00 to 7:40

Tournament battles are cool =]

Banner lord mixed with online
@@matthewgarcia8424there already is I think
Stellar
Go Apollo
Very fun!
awesome
I like random battles and tourney battles I just don’t like a lot of either. I like a mix
HEY THERE! I was Tylis in this game. any advice?
🔥
We need more tournaments
yeah i agree, these battles are much better than torney battles.
Yaaay! Athens!
There is Hell Let Loose that is almost exactly what you're describing just not Rome its WW2
When does the tournament start?
Wonder if he live streams today
Yeah I prefer tournament battles. This feels messy and confusing 😂
Give me 1 unit of glacian legionnaires , 2 units of spartan pikes , one unit of slingers and one unit of syrian archers.. at a choke point , ill defend against an entire army of romans
Commenting for engagement
are you ever gonna return to bannerlord. Maybe you can play some other games like it?
Comment for engagement!
HOT! mas por favor
nice
Giving up the walls is always a stupid move! Pin the attackers on the walls, and use numbers to inflict irreparable damage! By retreating you're just demonstrating you're lack in confidence and skill to your opponent!
Defending a smaller area may be easier to defend? But it just allows the opponent to focus their archer fire?
Keeping your forces as mobile as possible, is crucial! And leaves you more options. Even when you're defending, you should be the one to make your opponent react to you? Not the other way around! Keep them on their toes, and don't give them time to think about that they want to do?
There's nothing worse than not knowing what's coming next, and where its coming from? Pretty much everyone who starts by retreating to the inner choke points, is someone who can't cope when they're not in full control of the battle! When you're opponent does this? Trust me! Make the battlefield as chaotic as you can!
Hey, im playing epirus and you didnt show any of the best Moments 😂
👌
Aooga
are these players afk most of the time?
