I've been a bride, now I'm a mom, and I don't understand mothers insisting on "princess" gowns. 32 years ago, I wore a ball gown, but I tried on many shapes and shades of wedding dresses before making my choice. My mother was the only person I wanted shopping with me, and she was extremely supportive, which I intend to be when it's my daughter's turn. Even if mom is paying, she shouldn't push for a dress the bride may regret once the wedding is over.
Personally the second dress was Venice 100% and I prefer it but that’s my own taste talking. It’s wonderful to see her so happy about the third dress. It may not sparkle in the Venetian sun however I do think for her, it’s perfect c: she’s happy, she’s comfortable and she’s emotional in a good way 🥰
The second dress was EVERYONE'S taste except her mom's. It was very Venetian and she looked like a model in it. Its a crime she didn't choose it! Should've left mom at home lol.
i hate when parents try to take over their daughters dress. they already had their wedding, it’s the daughters turn now.
But the bride obviously wanted her mom to like her wedding dress, that’s why she brought her. She wanted and asked for her mom’s opinion and approval🙄🙄🙄 so how the heck is that taking over?! No point in the mom lying and saying she liked it, then she might as well stay home because that’s not why her daughter brought her.
@@LoveBritishShows I think she came off a bit strong at the start. She had a set vision and she was adamant about it happening, but the bride very clearly WANTED her there and asked for her opinion on each dress she tried on nevertheless. I kinda see both sides here.
At the end they put her in the same dress like 200 other previous brides.. sick of this dress.. Say yes to the Dando London dress...

I absolutely HATE the material of the skirt in the last dress. It just looks so thin and cheap, and I have NO idea why so many brides keep picking dresses like this. It makes this my least favourite SYTTD spin-off, just because of how damn common those overpriced nightgowns are.
It's the lace detail over the illusion netting around the neckline and back. More provocative and eye-catching than a strapless gown. Nobody's looking at the skirt when there's that much skin playing peekaboo up top.

Agree it looks horrible and plaine. I would expect that kind of material underneath the dress as a kind of underskirt. The top is ok, the bottom is just hiddious

Dando London is the owner of this shop and her dresses are EXCLUSIVE to the boutique so it's common for a Dando London dress to appear in every episode. It goes the same for the Pnina Tornei gowns; they are exclusive to Kleinfeld so they are shown to brides in almost every episode.
The Store owner is Mrs Christine Dando so most dresses are hers

The second dress was the one. She has such a lovely figure and that one just made her look stunning. The third one had a lovely back but it was pretty meh apart from that and really didn't do as much for her figure as the second dress.

She wanted her mom's approval so much that she chose the wrong one bc you could tell her mom didn't like the 3rd one either but she became invested when he asked her if she could imagine herself in that dress and since she's excited about her special day she got emotional and probably mistook that feeling for the dress being the right one. Such a travesty!

Watching a bunch of these videos makes me so glad I found my dress the way I did and with my mom who completely supported what I wanted. She and I actually went to a discount dress shop to just to try on styles so I could see what I liked, with the intention of having a "real" appointment with my future MIL, and my sister and Maid of honor, but I ended up finding a dress I would regret not getting (since it was a discount store, it was the only one like it), so I just had to get it then and there!

As a daughter of a controlling mother, I believe it's just a part of the process of a mother letting go of her daughter. Marriage is a big transition for moms too.

I know yall are pressed the mother didn't accept the 2nd dress but It made me happy seeing she wasn't so always push forward on that 1 dresses and accepted the last one quick.
