seriously, what the FUCK was that veil?! you've got a dress with not 1 but TWO layers of lace and you tack on this massive poofy tulle rhinestone trim veil?! i thought this was supposed to be the dude who designed wedding gowns for ROYALTY? i really hope she decides to swap that out for a single-tier cathedral-length lace-trim veil. something flat and lightweight but coordinates with the dress to create another layer to the gown. and pop a tiny little tiara on top too, so mom still gets a touch of princess.
i do prefer the last dress to the first one. i agree with mum that the first dress doesn't really seem wedding enough, the top especially is a bit too red carpet. the double-layer lace on the last dress is really unusual and creates a nice sophisticated look which suits a country club wedding.

If I told my husband he was only there to pay, especially if he was sticking up for our daughter, he’d be furious. This Mum needs to remember it’s her daughter’s wedding day, not hers.
i've seen so many episodes where the mom and dad disagree and it's the dad who actually sides with the bride's vision & tastes while the mom is trying to go completely the opposite direction. and then the mom always wonders why the bride never agrees with her.
dietotaku I’m thinking that just like how the woman has visions of what her wedding day would look like when it happens, the mom has the same visions about her daughter. The problem comes when both visions don’t correlate, who is going to compromise?

i'm starting to think they do it on purpose, knowing the bride almost certainly won't pick the first dress, as a way of modeling and advertising that dress to viewers rather than trying to find the right dress for the bride. kind of like "this one's a gimme, she's not going to pick it anyway so let's show off this expensive dress we have in stock so maybe someone watching will come buy it."
